Chereads / Goddess Abyssal System / Chapter 6 - A Great Encounter

Chapter 6 - A Great Encounter

"You dare enter my domain, kill my beautiful creations, and still look unbothered?"

Sun stood there aghast with shock. What to say that her expectations for the boss suddenly dropped into an icy spring.

Stood before her, holding a staff half it's size, and speaking with a cute tone, was a small child. No...She's not making it up.

Should she say that the child is indeed some kind of monster. It's not human judging from the ears, tail, and eyes. This child is a beastman. There's no mistaking it.

"Are you perhaps looking down on me because I look like this?" The child asked in a fit of outrage.

Well...It's true that one should not judge based on someone's looks, but this is just pushing it. Sun already knew without trying to decipher it. It's obvious that this beast child was no match for her. It's also the white words above the child's head which gave it away.

What to do in a situation like this? If it were the real undead, those skeletons would have been much harder for her to defeat. Even so ,they were a big help with her leveling up. So, it's not like they were entirely weak.

The child's anger began to fester from being ignored and the mana in the air started to stir. Hm...? What's this? The words above her head changed colors to orange level difficulty in an instant.

"LOOKS LIKE SHE'S STRONGER THAN WE THOUGHT." Roscha stated.

Something inside of Sun she never felt before started to come out. This feeling of wanting something. What is this feeling?

"UM, SUN?"

"What is it?"

"YOU'RE SHOWING A VERY WEIRD AND PERVERTED EXPRESSION."

If anyone saw her face from another angle. They would see this creepy blushed face of someone who looked completely turned on right now. The beast child who noticed the odd change felt herself shiver slightly with fear. That face...what's with that face?"

A mirror floated before Sun to prove something. "Oh my." But she couldn't help the feeling that had already surfaced.

Note: A Succubus gets attracted to the smell of strong mana. It stimulates them in a way that makes them go crazy. At this moment, Sun doesn't realize her hunger and wants the mana for herself. Though it does not particularly mean she wants to eat it.

She licked her lips unconsciously, "Can we take this child?" She asked.

Looks like she's already gone mad. Well, the poor child, there was nothing the Moon Goddess can do but let Sun be satisfied.

[An odd phenomenon has occurred in the Moon Princess.]

[All stats boosted x5]

Before the beast child could blink she felt a hand clutching her neck and her feet no longer touching the floor. The child's mana was leaking like water and the already stimulated Sun was close enough to make it hers. No, let's savor this meal.

"Master! You can't!"

Sun froze and looked back her facial expression beyond scary. "Who dare stops me?"

Syth had felt the presence of something while standing outside the door. It was a feeling that told him someone was in danger. He hadn't expected to go into the boss room and see such a sight. It must be that. Is what he thought. It's when a Succubus couldn't control their hunger for strong mana.

That child's mana was no joke. It would be useful to keep her close as one of master's subordinates. Especially her ability to control the undead.

"Master, please drop her."

He wasn't sure if she was going to come to her senses easily.

"I'm not going to eat her."

He stood there shocked as he noticed the normal appearance of his master. She was back. Sun dropped the child and crossed her arms. Seems like she almost went crazy over this girl's mana. She smiles with a dangerous leer, it's only right if the child becomes hers.

Syth rushed over to the girl who gently touched her neck and looked extremely frightened.

"Looks like you had it rough." Syth told her. "What's your name?"

The girl glanced in Sun's direction before her gaze darted away, "I, don't know." She admitted. Syth glanced back at his master who seemed to be in another world. Must be having a conversation with the Moon Goddess.

"What the heck is she?" She asked.

Oh? Perhaps this child doesn't know much about the outside world either? "She's the master of the Abyss." He says.

Her face turned sour, "I see. No wonder I couldn't do anything against her." She muttered. That's not it. It's because you're weaker. Even though master is not an entirely strong individual, she is still someone to be feared. A Succubus is naturally stronger than a child like this.

"Since you don't have anywhere to go, how about you come with us to serve, Master?" Syth offered. There's no way she'd turn him down after what she been through.

"Okay. Um, will...will I get a name?" She looked at Syth expectantly.

Sun approached the child and crouched down to her eye level, "if I'm correct you're a cat type beastman. Hm, how about Fida? I think it suits a cat person well." She says.

The girl's eyes shone with happiness. "Fida! I like it!"

[Congrats! You successfully raided the Dungeon!]

[You obtained the rare beastman, Shaman Tiger.]

[You Leveled Up!]

[You Leveled Up!]

[You have reached level 19. One more level until evolving!]

What's this? Evolving?

"AH THAT. I'LL EXPLAIN THAT MORE WHEN WE GET BACK." Roscha says.

"Wait! What about the purpose of taking on the dungeon, Master!? We didn't find anything here but this beast child." Syth looked panicked.

Fida stared at them, "um, was Master here looking for something?" She asked nervously.

"That's right. We were here looking for treasure." She says.

Fida brightened, "then, follow me! I don't have treasure, but I think it will be useful to Master!" She says standing and rushing over to the boss doors. They followed her until they reached an empty room with nothing but four walls. "Where are we?" She asked.

"Hold on." Fida lowered the end of her staff to the ground. The floor and walls shook until something shifted.

"Master! The floors are taking shape! They're turning into..."

"Stairs." Sun finished.

How unpredictable. She never imagined something like this. They followed Fida down the stairs to below. It wasn't hard to feel something was down there. There was a bright entrance at the end of the tunnel.

"Isn't this place beneath the boss room?" Syth asked looking around.

"That's right. It's my personal treasury. Here, this is it." Fida led them to a wall and placed the tip of her staff against the surface.

The walls started to spread apart revealing a room filled with sparkling crystals.

"Oh my lord, they're Mana Stones!" Syth stated loudly.

He had almost forgotten a trait of all monsters. It's their obsession with mana stones. Not just monsters but also humans!

"Mana Stones? Are they important here?" She asked.

Mana Stones in the manhwas she read were used to temporarily boost ones' mana. That was the only use. But they were reacting to it like it was some godly stone or something.

"OHO. THAT I CAN EXPLAIN. YOU SEE, MANA STONES HERE ARE MADE NATURALLY BY THE GODDESS. THEY SURFACE FROM ALL THE MAGIC IN THIS WORLD. INSTEAD OF BOOSTING MANA TEMPORARILY, MANA STONES HERE WILL BOOST MANA PERMANENTLY! NOT ONLY THAT, BUT MANA STONES ARE A GREAT INGREDIENT FOR MANY THINGS LIKE WEAPON ENHANCEMENT OR AN INGREDIENT FOR EVOLVING UNNATURALLY. THEY ARE SOMETIMES SOLD IN THE MARKET TEN TIMES IT'S PRICE DUE TO HOW RARE MANA STONES APPEAR IN THIS WORLD. BECAUSE THEY ONLY APPEAR WHERE THE UNDEAD or OTHER STRONG MONSTERS ARE!"

Sun smiles slowly, so this changes everything. A dungeon filled with mana stones. It's quite the collection.

"Master, I have a small storage space that will fit all this in, shall we take it all and leave this dungeon?" Syth asked.

"Yes. We should go, I'm starving." She agrees.

After collecting all the Mana Stones, Syth teleported them back to the Abyss.

"Woah, it's massive!" Fida exclaims.

"Yes but unfortunate that it's empty." Sun says.

"By the way Master, who is that?" Fida pointed to the light floating around Sun.

"Her senses are impressive, this child." Roscha stated.

Fida jumped back with a horrified expression, "Ghost!" She declared.

"But she's still a child. I am no ghost, I am the Moon Goddess, Roscha." She says.

Fida stared as if not understanding, "ah, right. A child from this time wouldn't know who I am." She says.

"Can we get back to that some other time? I'm starving." Sun stated with a bored expression.

"Oh! I shall go out and hunt!" Sun declared about to teleport back to the surface.

"There's no need. I say we find a place to sell these stones and use the money to buy us a luxurious meal." Sun says her mouth watering just thinking about food other than captured monster meat.

"Then I have the perfect place. There's a monster town three days from here, they aren't solely a monster paradise, since humans are allowed as well, but you might as well say it is a place for all types of monsters. Well, my point is, they have a back street auction house. And a great shopping market, too!" He exclaims.

"Well then. What are we waiting for? Shall we get going?" Sun asked.

The next stop, Monster Village!
