I didn't have time, and I could feel it. Natalia left with an ultimatum for an impossible choice. To leave him? After everything?

Just why was it that when it seemed like I was part a hurdle, another massive one springs up out of nowhere.
"Damnit." I balled my fists.
"What is it? Is the food not to your liking?" Alessander asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.
I blinked twice, snapping myself into reality, my eyes swept the dining room, and I was surprised at all the eyes pointed at me.
"It's fine." I responded quietly.
The executives at the table muttered what I guessed were profanities under their breaths, displeased that the annoying 'slut' still hung around the heir.
I fixed my gaze on Natalia, who sat next to her grandfather, only to see she was staring intently back at me, reminding me of her ultimatum.
