I watched him get dressed, prepping to go out and buy what he'd use to make dinner. I insisted on going with him, but he wouldn't hear of it, wanted me to get some more rest.
"Come on, it's not that big a hassle, and you're driving anyways." I said, folding my arms in front of the door, making one last desperate attempt.
But he kept a straight face, "No, I'll be back in a while, I have some errands to run."
By errands, I could guess he meant illegal activities. My heart sunk at the thought of this, I wanted him to quit too, so it could be the both of us living clean.
Not this.
"Fine, but when you get back there's something I want to talk about." I said, wrapping my arms around his neck. He kissed my lips briefly and smiled warmly at me.
"Whatever you want, Coco." He replied then left to go run his errands.
