Natalia flung her head back against the closet doors.
There were scores of people who would do most anything to get their hands on Alessander, one of the most valuable assets to the Bratva. Countless attempts had been made on his life since childbirth, to the point he was sent into several orphanages to conceal his identity.
Alessander's existence was the one thing that could take down the Russian Mafia.
And yet, there the prodigy stood in the center of his kitchen, trying to marinate the insides of a chicken.
"Sasha," Natalia pinched her forehead, "You're going to far with this. Don't forget you're only using this man to find out who killed your mother." She said, trying to bring him back on course.
Alessander kept his gaze trained on the chicken when he retorted, "That's not entirely the case."
