"A college thing?" I reiterated, making sure I had heard him right.
He sighed, "God, this is so stupid." He grumbled, actually sounding like a kid his age. I had only ever seen him stressed once, it still took some getting used to.
"Um, what exactly do you need my help with?"
I could tell by the way his eyes bounced around the car, and the way his grip on the steering tightened, that it took a whole lot of courage for him to ask me for this favor.
"The fucking academic advisor requested a meeting with a guardian, to speak about my absence from college for the past few days." He spat out in a low tone. If I hadn't listened carefully, I might've missed what he said.
So this was about him skipping a few classes.
A small grin planted itself on my face. I remembered when Jas was in highschool and her guidance counselor called me in to ask about the same thing.
Doing this again for someone, made me feel oddly warm.
