There was never a time when I wasn't glad to see my sister, she was my favorite person and the only family I had left. So why was it, that as I watched Jas rush upstairs to see Ferrari, I felt unsettled.
"Hey, I'm glad you're okay." Camille's voice drew me out of my thoughts, as she embraced me tightly, wrapping her arms around my neck.
I blinked twice and returned the hug, "You okay?"
"Yeah, I was a bit stunned when some scary ass men arrived at my condo with Jasmine, who by the way should be at the hospital right now." She unwrapped her arms, and narrowed her gaze to my wounded arm. "You too." Her lips furled into a frown.
"I'll be okay, it's just a graze." Ferrari was the one I was worried for. He was in danger, it surprised me that the man could even move in his condition.
"No, it's not Rowan." She reached for my wrist and led us to the dining room. She forced me onto a seat, and sat next to me, clasping my hand in her palms.
