It happened in a quick second.
First, the lights of the warehouse all went out, and in a fraction of a second, guns were fired all over the place.
I quickly got on the ground, evading the bullets.
"Help! Help me, I can't get out of these ropes-" Right in the middle of his frantic chant, three bullets went straight through him, killing him in an instant.
"Shit, what the hell is going on?" I cursed, while reaching with one hand for Ferrai's coat. Fortunately, it was within reach, and his phone was still inside.
The guns continued to fire, creating and expanding holes for the bullets to pass through. I crawled towards stacked up crates and crouched down there to catch my breath.
"Pick up!" I hissed, calling Elio.
Surprisingly, Ferrari's phone was unlocked, something that I checked off and decided to worry about later. Speaking of the bastard, I couldn't shake off my curiosity.
Where was he? Could he have gotten shot?
