My thoughts all came to a halt when I reached the front door, only to see Alessander crouched down in front of it, his face buried in his knees.

I took quiet steps away, too scared to face him right now, but he called out to me, as though he knew I was there without having to take a look.
"It's late. Where were you?" He asked, peeking out of his knees. My heart did a nervous backflip as I turned around to meet his murderous gaze.
I scratched the back of my head nervously, "I went out to meet with Jasmine."
"I know that, Natalia filled me in. But that was two hours ago, where were you after that?" He interrogated, his tone calm yet intimidating.
