Chereads / Gemini? / Chapter 3 - 3

Chapter 3 - 3

I slapped my forehead and immediately returned to the classroom. As expected, the place was in chaos.

Misaki Suzuki, leading a group of people, had surrounded Akira. One of the girls didn't hesitate to smash a ruler into Akira's face.

Akira's fair and delicate skin instantly showed signs of blood, a medium-length cut slowly forming.

"Hahaha, well done, Chizuru! I'll treat you to something delicious later." Misaki Suzuki clapped and cheered, her piercing laughter making me uncomfortable.

Misaki Suzuki loved doing this kind of thing. Even if the teacher questioned her later, she could just shift the blame to someone else since she hadn't actually done anything herself. I looked at the wounds on Akira's face, trembling with anger, wanting to fight Misaki Suzuki to the death.

But right now, I was just a ghost.

Akira wiped the blood off his face, and the next second, his cold gaze fell on Chizuru.

"Chi... zuru." His lips moved slightly as he spat out this unfamiliar name.

Chizuru stepped forward triumphantly, pointing her finger at Akira's nose. "Are you mad? Want to kill me? Come on, hahaha!"

Akira tilted his head, his long bangs covering half his face, making it hard for others to see his expression.

But I could see it clearly, that cold gaze I was all too familiar with.

What was he planning to do?

Misaki Suzuki and her group were about to continue humiliating Akira when the class bell rang, forcing them to restrain themselves. Misaki Suzuki snorted coldly, and Chizuru immediately understood, grabbing Akira's milk from his desk and taking a sip before pouring it all over Akira's desk, along with my homework. Akira's face remained expressionless, staring straight ahead as if he hadn't seen what Chizuru had done.

Chizuru rolled her eyes dramatically at Akira before returning to her seat. Just then, the teacher walked in.

Suddenly, Akira stood up.

"Mr Tanaka, I accidentally spilled some milk. May I go to the restroom to get some paper to clean it up?"

The teacher, accustomed to this by now, nodded helplessly.

I had a bad feeling. Akira would never voluntarily clean up someone else's mess, so I quickly followed him.

Akira actually went to the restroom and took a few sheets of paper. I was puzzled. Was he really just going to clean up? He looked around and noticed an open window, then left the restroom with the paper.

Instead of returning to the classroom, he circled around to the position of the restroom window. He climbed back through the window, picking up a discarded water pipe along the way, twirling it in his hand before leaning against the wall, waiting for something.

The scene was incredibly eerie. Watching this face identical to mine, yet with a completely different demeanor, was astonishing. I anxiously paced around the restroom, unsure of Akira's intentions.

Soon, I heard footsteps, and a girl entered the restroom.

It was Chizuru, clutching her stomach in pain.

With a loud bang, Akira, cold-faced and seemingly anticipating her arrival, grabbed her hair with one hand and stabbed her repeatedly with the pipe using the other.

Chizuru, shocked by Akira's sudden appearance, instinctively tried to cry for help but was silenced by Akira's hand covering her mouth. She tried to fight back, but the difference in strength was too great. In her panic, she bit Akira's hand hard. Akira withdrew his hand abruptly, glancing at the bite mark with disgust before slamming her head onto the ground and shoving the pipe down her throat. The thick pipe forced its way down her throat, causing her face to contort in pain as she let out hoarse whimpers. She had come to the restroom because of a stomachache, and now her body was simultaneously relieving itself and enduring Akira's brutal assault. Unable to bear the pain any longer, Chizuru's eyes rolled back, and she passed out.

Akira, seemingly dissatisfied, pressed the pipe down forcefully, pinning Chizuru to the ground. I was stunned. Covered in blood, Akira calmly removed his clothes, washed off the blood, dried them with a blow dryer, and put them back on, even spraying some perfume. The whole process was quick and graceful, as if he hadn't just committed murder but had simply had an afternoon tea. Without a glance at the body, he climbed back out the window.

After leaving the restroom, Akira went to the cafeteria to get lunch before returning to the classroom.

"Sorry, teacher, I took a bit longer," Akira apologized softly, appearing every bit the obedient student. The teacher didn't blame him, merely glancing at his food before letting him return to his seat. Akira sat comfortably, eating his lunch and listening to the class, seeming to be in a great mood, as if the recent events had brought him immense pleasure.

When the class bell rang, someone finally noticed that Chizuru had been in the restroom for an entire period.

"Where's Chizuru?" Misaki Suzuki asked, puzzled.

"I don't know, Misaki. I'll go check the restroom," Mai eagerly volunteered.

"Thank you, Mai," Misaki smiled gently.

Mai was about to head to the restroom when a girl's scream from the neighboring class, who had just been to the restroom, startled her.

"Ah!!! Someone come quickly! There's a dead person in the restroom!!"

Misaki Suzuki was shocked and immediately ran to the restroom. Chizuru's corpse soon came into view.

More and more people gathered around, with many girls fainting at the gruesome sight.

The situation escalated quickly, and the principal arrived swiftly. Akira followed, feigning curiosity as he watched everything unfold.

Mai saw Akira and screamed.

"Kawashima Megumi! Was it you? You were the only one with Chizuru in the restroom!"

Akira's eyes widened, looking innocent.

"Are you saying... me?"

Laughter erupted around him instantly.

"Mai, are you joking? Are you saying Kawashima Megumi killed Chizuru?" A classmate couldn't help but question, putting extra emphasis on "Kawashima Megumi."

Mai then realized how ridiculous her accusation sounded.

"So what exactly happened then?"

"No idea, but it's none of my business. I'm leaving."

Watching from the side, I found the whole scene absurd. The students at this school had become this indifferent.

The crowd gradually dispersed, and Akira left with them. The principal, looking serious, called for his assistant.

"Check the surveillance cameras in this hallway."
