I mean, considering the size of the clearing and tunnel, this place must have taken at least 6 months to be built. Magic couldn't have been used as the High Domiino would have detected it, so this entire tunnel must have been built by hard labor.
Did a small organization really have the manpower, resources, and time to build something like this just to use it as a decoy or trap?
