Suddenly another male hand, appeared on her lap that was larger than hers. It grabbed both her hands in one and squeezed them, "Why are you so scared of Paige," he asked casually, "Does she bully you?"
Aniya's eyes darted to his face where she could see worry lines on his forehead. He had even slowed the car.
"N-no… we aren't kindergarten kids, George," she patted his hand and tried to laugh it off.
Yes, Paige was a bully, but Aniya wanted to tackle her, herself. George wasn't her daddy.
"If she bullies you… or anyone bullies you, let me know," his eyes were now straight ahead at the road.
Aniya's brows knitted in unease, "What will you do? Punish them?" she giggled again but he was still serious, "Maybe," he shrugged.
