Marissa headed to the garden where Rafael was running with Abi in his arms while the rest of the kids were running after him.
"Daddy! This isn't fair! Run slower!" Ariel protested. Rafael slowed down but didn't wait to get caught, so he changed his direction towards the swings.
Marissa felt contentment and gratitude while watching her family. She made a silent prayer that her family stayed happy.
She raised her face and felt the warmth of the sunlight against her face. She opened her eyes when she heard Abigail's uncontrollable laughter in her Daddy's arms. After her heart, it was her lungs that needed to be healed before she went for any prolonged activity.
They all were shrieking with laughter while chasing their father. Rafael was acting more like a sibling than their father.
