"Woohoo! We did it!" Lisa cheered, gripping the wheel as she sped down the road. Her excitement was infectious, but Aniya, sitting in the passenger seat, just shook her head like she was waking up from a dream.
"How did you even pull that off?" Leaning back her head against the seat she muttered, "We didn't do anything. You did it! All the credit goes to you."
Her stomach churned at the thought of how close she'd come to marrying Dorian Maxwell. She shivered slightly and turned towards Lisa, "Are you sure Liam is safe?" She asked her friend worriedly.
Lisa glanced over briefly, smirking, "Relax. He's fine. The guy's been doing theatre for the last two years… it was right up his alley. It was his idea, and he was thrilled to do it. The minute he walked out of that room in bridal dress the guards were on him, leaving a clear exit for us to escape."
