"Oh, Marissa. I can't believe I'm getting married," Sophie was trying the wedding dresses in the boutique and Marissa could see how chirpier she had gotten.
The dress designer Lorrain Duval was showing her different gowns. She was bustling around them, holding up dresses, giving advice, and adjusting Sophie's hems with precision.
"Even I can't believe that the Ms. Independent doctor Sophia … the famous gynecologist… who thought that she was too strong for the men out there is getting married."
Marissa teased her friend, shaking her hips, and picked up the dress lying on the dresser.
"This one is absolutely stunning, Sophie," Loraine said, stepping back to admire her work, "Let me grab a few more options that might suit your style," she disappeared into the racks, leaving Sophie and Marissa alone for a moment.
Sophie was standing there only in her bra and panties; her hands were placed on her hips.
