After Nick and Benjamin left, Shadow Celestial turned to look at Irving.
"You actually care so much about your companions? Don't you realize that leaving them behind could provide us with some assistance? After all, they can serve as cannon fodder for us. We can at least use them to slow down our enemies' movements. Although they won't be able to hold off our foes for long, we can use that time to set up the battlefield for what comes next."
Despite having softened a bit, Shadow Celestial still didn't shy away from using others to his advantage.
Irving gazed back at Shadow Celestial.
"Your words make me feel like I shouldn't wholeheartedly cooperate with you. Are you also considering betraying me at a critical moment?"
Shadow Celestial smiled in response to Irving's challenge.
