In a dense primeval forest, a white stag was walking through dense bushes. It walked through dense bushes until entering a clearing from which the sky was visible. Above, two moons hung over the world, one bright while the other was dim.
~"Fianly showed yourself, Lo'sho."
-"This shard is named Apa'ro. Also, I asked you not to call me by my tauren name."
~"Won't you return to Realms of Life, brother?"
-"You know that I was banished, and even my power was shattered."
~"But if you ask for forgiveness and repent, nobody will stop your return."
-"Imposible. I don't regret my actions."
~"Sigh."
-"You don't have to worry about me, Mu'sha."
~"Right, you are playing around with Eonar and Winter."
-"Didn't you consider Winter your sister? Also, if not for Eonar's help, I would be in a much more sorry state."
~"It's the least she could do for you after you taught her ways of life and nature despite her belonging to Order."
-"You should stop thinking of six forces as incompatible."
~"Tell that to Order and Disorder."
-"Can you tell me why do you seek me?"
~"I truly want you to return."
-"You know that I can't do that."
~"Then at least please take this."
-"This... You know that you may end up banished like me if you give this away."
~"I don't care. I would rather follow you than stay there alone."
-"Thank you."
~"Then don't forget to speak with me often. I won't leave this sky."
Feeling the presence of Mu'sha disappear, I walked back into the forest. As I walked, I would see some animals from time to time, but they were still relatively rare as life on this planet was new, or at least mortal life was new here.
Both Elementals and wards from Pantheons of Order and Void were present on this planet. This, of course, meant that aside from small groves under my control, most of the surface was a battlefield between those forces.
As I continued my stroll, I also observed what was going on in other places on the surface and witnessed how the forces of the keepers fought against elementals. They are trying to seal them and create elemental plains to keep their power in order.
Deciding not to intervene, I finally arrived in the place I had lived in for the last few years. Finding a place to sit down, if you can call it that when I'm a stag, I returned to using the power of nature, trying to provide this planet with the spirit energy it so desperately needed.
This was what my life looked like for the last thousand or so years. Because of something I had done, my existence was shattered, and while I lost connection with all those fragments, they are still me. Thanks to Mu'sha defending me, they didn't destroy my celestial body, but with my power so low, I could only exist in the sky of this lone planet.
When I appeared here for the first time, this planet was torn between Old Gods and Elementals. The lack of spirit energy on the planet caused Elementals to be berserk, so when I arrived, I started to provide the world with it, trying to calm down the havoc on the surface.
Years later, the Titans of the Pantheon of Order found this planet and detected that it had a Titan's soul in it, so they tried to get rid of Old Gods. This ended in failure, and if not for me stepping in and healing the wound they inflicted on the planet, they would most likely have killed the infant titan.
Seeing that their approach wouldn't work, they created keepers to fight the Old Gods and secure the surface so that the planet that they named Azeroth would be safe in the future.
Among those Titans was Eonar, whom I taught how to use nature and life before my fall. Seeing my situation, she helped me restore my body and ordered keepers to treat me with respect. After that, I assisted with seeding life, slowly bringing Azeroth to the state it was now.
Thanks to the years I have spent in this world, my understanding of nature has reached unprecedented levels, making me one of the strongest Gods of the Pantheon of Life and one of the most respected among all forces. I also started to study the other five cosmic forces, wanting to understand the power of the First Ones.
My pursuit of those cosmic forces was a reason why I agreed to help the Titans with stabilizing the Azeroth and being part of many major events that took place. This was also the reason why I went out of my grove and headed to assist them in battle.
When I arrived at the snowy peaks, I could see countless proto-dragons fighting among themselves. In the middle of them was one being I know by the name of Galakrond. He fought with me once, but we didn't decide the winner, as he retreated when I prevented him from eating my forests.
Seeing him swarmed by his own kin, whom he always treated as food, I knew that his tyranny was about to end. Using snow in the surroundings as a source of water, I started to use the generating cycle before supporting the smaller dragons.
I started by attacking the Galakrond to attract his attention and also healed those injured when I had leeway to spare. At first, Galakrond was confused about why everything was happening, but seeing me, he quickly flew into a rage.
-"Malorne! How dare you attack me!"
-"You bring only ruin, Galakrond. If Azeroth is to grow, you must die."
-"Hahaha! You are nothing to me!"
-"Let us check that."
The next moment, Galakrond, who was larger than the mountain, started rushing at me from above. He continued to roar and wanted to swallow me with one bite.
I stomped the ground, making elements I gathered to form giant figures near me. Five pure elemental beings now stood between me and Galakrond, preparing for a head-on confrontation.
Earth golem was the first to meet the proto-dragon attack. It was able to successfully stop him in his tracks after being pushed for hundreds of meters.
At the same time, Metal and Fire golems launched attacks, shredding the wings to keep the Galakrond grounded. Water and Wood golems also shot but focused on binding him in place, allowing others to attack more easily.
When the now battered figure of Galakrond was revealed from clouds of dust, remaining proto-dragons caught up with him and started to bombard him. Using my strength to keep a mountain-like body in place, I watched how he was defeated by those he pushed to the brink.
As the breath of life disappeared from Galakrond, I found four auras nearby.
-"I greet the Pantheon of Order."
~"It's great to see you again, Lu'sho."
-"You want to grant your powers to those proto-dragons?"
~"Yes, as being born from Azeroth, they are perfect guardians."
-"Allow me to do it, Aman'Thul."
~"You want to turn them into guardians?"
-"Yes. I will turn them into Aspects that can take place Elementals that are dysfunctional."
~"Teacher, you want us to provide the power while you will perform the ceremony?"
-"Yes, Eonar."
~"I can see that you have some idea. Hmm... I will agree but under one condition."
-"What do you want from me?"
~"If one day Pantheon faces a crisis, you will help us."
-"Good. I agree."
~"Then let's begin."
Titans chose five proto-dragons to be Aspects. Four Titans provided their powers for the ceremony: Aman'Thul gave the power of Time, Norgannon gave the power of Magic, Khaz'goroth gave the power of Earth, and Eonar gave the power of Life and Nature.
I bestowed those powers onto proto-dragons, and when they started accepting them, I started to modify their bodies. I turned them to become similar to dragons I knew from other worlds but kept their western dragon appearance, not making them look like my Battle Spirit, which was an eastern dragon.
I also made it possible for them to take human forms so that they could communicate with other races more easily. The whole process lasted a few minutes, but in place beasts, five proud dragons emerged.
-"From now on, you five shall be brothers and sisters, leaders of five dragon clans. First of you and one to lead the dragon race shall be The Life Bender, Alexstrasza, leader of the red dragonflight and Aspect of Life."
The red dragon bowed her head to me, accepting my decree.
-"One to keep the fate of Azeroth in check shall be The Timeless One, Nozdormu, leader of bronze dragonflight and Aspect of Time."
The bronze dragon lowered its head as well.
-"One to prevent arcane from falling into the wrong hands shall be The Spell-Weaver, Malygos, leader of blue dragonflight and Aspect of Magic."
The blue dragon followed his sibling in accepting my decree.
-"One to watch over the Azeroth shall be The Earth-Warder, Neltharion, leader of black dragonflight and Aspect of Earth."
The black dragon bowed after hearing my words.
-"One to keep nature safe shall be The Dreamer, Ysera, leader of green dragonflight and Aspect of nature."
The green dragon looked at me, not accepting my words like the rest of her siblings. She had worry in her eyes, as nature was my domain.
-"Worry not. I'm not a guardian of Azeroth but nature itself. Our positions are similar and aligned but different at the core. Same as your remaining siblings and the Titans."
After hearing that, the green dragon accepted my decree.
Finishing the ceremony, I looked at Eonar.
-"Will you help me with one more thing?"
~"What can I do for you?"
-"Could you help me establish a realm?"
~"My powers alone are not enough for that."
-"Don't worry, I have required things."-I took out the thing that Mu'sha passed to me.
~"This... As I thought. Elune would never watch you struggle without helping you."
-"I don't know what I did to deserve her unconditional support."
~"As someone married, I have my own thoughts on the matter. I'll visit Elune when I have a chance to give her some tips."
Eonar used her power on Elune's, another name for Mu'sha, gift. It soon sunk into the ground, and moments later, I could feel a connection between the new realm and me.
~"Done. How should this realm be called?"
-"How about Emerald Dream?"
~"Good name."
-"Thank you for your assistance."
~"No problem. Keep safe, Yue."
-"Haven't heard that name for a long time. You too, Eonar."
When the Titans left, only me and five Aspects remained. Looking at five of them, I decided to help them take the first steps. Taking five of them into Emerald Dream, I taught them how to control their powers along with which knowledge they would need.
We lived together for the next few years, but ultimately, they had to leave and take on their duties. Ysera remained inside the Emerald Dream, and Alexstrasza also decided to return here often while Neltharion, Malygos, and Nozdormu started to build their strongholds on the surface.
-"Yue, can you tell me why you were banished from the Realm of Life?"
-"I opposed the decision of the majority there and broke their rules."
-"Can you tell what exactly?"
-"Many of those living in the Realm of Life think that Mother Earth wished for nature to be kept pure, and for that, they need it to be isolated from the influence of the other five forces. I disagree and even think that six cosmic forces need to be interlinked and balanced for the good of the world."
-"That's why you have such good relationships with other Pantheons."
-"Yes. Do you want to know something else, Ysera?"
-"To be honest, I was wondering from where did you get all your knowledge?"
-"Life experience, plus a little secret."
-"I'll get to know it one day."
-"Who knows?"
My life has become much less boring with my companions, and even mundane daily life was something I started to look forward to. But as we all know, peace never lasts, and sure enough, fraction of the proto-dragons that hadn't accepted the dragonflights launched an attack on Forbidden Reach, where Neltharion wanted to create a race of humanoid dragons to act as warriors for the dragonflights.
Luckily, Alexstrasza didn't ignore his worries after I advised her and agreed to place some more dragons to defend the island. Thanks to that, the forces of Primal Incarnates were unable to breach the Forbidden Reach before reinforcement arrived, and from what I heard from Nozdormu later, we were able to create a way to prevent a tragedy that would endanger the future.
Nozdormu was also able to prove the usefulness of the Dracthyr he was creating. Alexstrasza started to assist him in bringing more of them to life, and soon, Azeroth welcomed the first sentient mortal race on its surface.
As for Primal Incarnates, they were defeated time after time, and in a few short years, the remaining proto-dragons were either sealed or dead. Alexstrasza showed mercy by not eliminating them fully, but she agreed that keeping them on the surface was inappropriate after what they had done.
Returning to peace once again, I spent most of my time in Emerald Dream, slowly comprehending powers, when Elune visited me once again.
~"Brother, I have come to the decision."
-"What is it, Mu'sha?"
~"I shall send some Tauren here to settle."
-"Hmm... No problem, but you know that I'm not close to them."
~"I'm aware, so I will stay here more often and also give you authority so that they can't disrespect you."
-"I'm starting to have bad feelings about what you are about to say."
~"I talked with Eonar and came to a conclusion. Yue, I will take you as my consort."
-"Now, let's not get ahead of ourselves."
~"I already decided. In order to prove our union, there shall be life between us."
After she said this, I could feel part of my essence leaving me and falling into Mu'sha's hands. She then combined it with part of her own essence and breathed life into it.
~"He shall be known as Cenarius, a child between us."
-"You..."
~"I know you are listening, young dragon. I hope you can take care of this child. If you do, I will allow you to stay by his side."
-"I will make sure he is safe and sound."
~"Do you have something to say, Yue? Also, I decided to be known as Elune here, so call me that."
-"I miss being strongest. Sigh, please take care of me, Elune."
~"Of course, Yue."
After that, Elune would talk to me on almost a daily basis, asking me for advice when needed or simply talking about some strange things in the universe. She also contacted Winter to cooperate with her but refused to let me know any details.
Years continued to pass, and more races started to emerge while I continued to live my life in the Emerald Dream, appearing only to help nature.
