Chapter 108 (Mill Sail Town Drama) You Started It!
Penny obviously couldn't see anything, but she immediately covered her ears and started screaming as those gray girls came out of Shelly's wounds.
The spell formation underneath her feet was suddenly activated, and countless gray and thick smoke rose from it and surged to form an arm that grabbed at Sol and Penny.
Shelly was still creating wounds on his body, and with each long cut, a gray illusory girl, floated out of the wound.
"You're a sorcerer's apprentice, your grudge must be stronger than normal." Shelly opened his mouth, drool dripping from the corners of his mouth.
"You're crazy." Saul gritted his teeth and said, "Originally, I wanted to keep you alive so that you could continue to cultivate the Sound Grinding Fruit. Now it seems that by killing you, Mentor Rum won't say anything."
Shelly's eyes were red, and the moment he decided to strike out at Saul, he had already given up his sanity.
"You, the Sorcerer Tower, have not sheltered us at all!" Shelly's body was by now covered in girly balloons, and as he trembled with rage, those balloons squeezed and rubbed around him.
Saul mobilized his magic, only to find that the smoke rising under his feet was crawling up his body, and the elemental particles around him were sluggish like old men who had lost their minds, and weren't obeying his commands.
Seeing that Saul failed to cast the spell, Shelly threw back his head and laughed, "See, what your Witch Tower refuses to give, I can still get it from others! When this spell is activated, I am the only one who is strong, you are all lambs!"
The gray mist that bound Saul at his feet but held Shelly in mid-air.
Saul could still feel that the gray mist was still trying to absorb the magic within him.
"This was meant for Uni," Shelly bent over, looking down at Saul and Penny on the ground, "but a first level apprentice from the Wizard's Tower would have worked better, I think."
"Become my sustenance !!!! Kill you and I'm outta here, and what can the Wizard's Tower do to me?"
Shelly waved his hand violently.
The gray mist under Saul's feet churned up once again, trying to climb up Saul's legs and submerge his entire body!
However ...
Those gray mists crawled for half a day, but they could only climb up to Saul's knees, and couldn't get up any further.
It was like there was someone dragging their legs.
"What's going on? Why did the activation fail?" Shelly froze, annoyed as he peeled his hands away from the gray maidens on top of him and looked at the ground in disbelief.
Only to realize that he was actually landing as well.
The thick gray mist produced in the spell was even decreasing.
"What did you do?" Shelly finally reacted, staring at Sol with crimson eyes.
Saul spread his hands, "Why do you think I was kind enough to explain it to you?"
Saul had just taken advantage of the fact that Shelly's mind was all caught up in the matter of promotion to transfer his magic power to his feet, directly erasing the most crucial few rings in the spell formation on the ground.
Now the spell formation was a leaking barrel, and the hole was getting bigger and bigger, no matter how much more Shelly poured water into it, it couldn't fill up the pool.
After all, standing on someone else's territory, it was better to destroy their possible killer weapon first.
"You ... you ..." Shelly's chest rose and fell violently.
As he breathed, more gray flux poured from his body into those gray girls.
It caused those maidens to become more and more bloated and swollen while Shelly became more and more thin.
His stiff eyes barely moved as he finally looked back.
"You're doing this on purpose, you're deliberately provoking me, waiting for me to make a move on you!"
Saul grinned, "Just in case."
But in fact, Saul did it on purpose!
Shelly refined the grudge spirits and made deals with the barbarians, but if he could continue to pay tribute to the Sound Grinding Fruit, the Sorcerer's Tower might not care about the things he did in private.
Even if Saul could show up on behalf of the Sorcerer's Tower to reprimand him for a while, what he would get would be nothing more than eating, taking, and asking for more, just like Nick said.
And when he left, everything would be back to the status quo ante again.
Because the Sorcerer's Tower wouldn't care about the young girls that Shelly had hurt, much less the fact that Shelly had secretly made a deal with the barbarians.
Even if Saul saves Penny today, after he leaves, Penny and Ada will only die a worse death.
It would be good now, he didn't have to think about how to go back and explain to Mentor Rum.
After all, now he was in self-defense again.
"Attack the messenger of the Wizard Tower." Saul raised his hands at Shelly, "Are you ready to pay with your life?"
Shelly had fallen to the ground by now.
He saw Saul's raised hands and the black streams of light that shot violently out of his hands in the gap between one of the gray maidens.
"No! Wait!"
There were only so many 0th Order Sorcerers a wild sorcerer apprentice could master.
Shelly threw tremor bolts outward in desperation, only to have them all easily deflected by Saul.
And his crude means of casting spells shook his mental body, and just a few times he cast a spell, it backfired on him. And on Saul's side, the first strike wasted both of Shelly's legs, followed by a Touch of Fatigue, causing Shelly's mental body, which was already on the verge of collapsing, to go completely out of control.
It was only then that Shelly realized that he couldn't even cast a single sorcery.
When Shelly slumped to the ground in despair, his body as thin as skin and bones, all those gray maidens in his body bulged into a bloated ball.
Saul crouched down and cocked his head to take aim.
"Actually, the problem of your scattered mental power is not insurmountable."
Shelly's head snapped up.
"But I don't want to talk about it."
A sharp arrow that appeared out of nowhere pierced Shelly's skull.
The bright light that had just risen in Shelly's eyes was forever fixed there.
At the moment of Shelly's death, the gray maidens on top of him suddenly revealed a hideous and vicious expression, each floating their bloated bodies to pounce on Shelly's corpse.
Shelly, who had clearly turned into a corpse, let out a miserable howl.
Countless limbs and bloody flesh were thrown into the air and crashed down again.
The gray maidens used their thick radish-like fingers to pluck a white void from Shelly's corpse.
They grinned hideously, opened their mouths wide, and gnawed on it.
The white vapors were shrinking at a rate visible to the naked eye.
Though she couldn't see it, Penny seemed to hear the sound of chewing, and she cowered behind Saul in fear.
After the cocoon of the Nightmare Butterfly was removed, she was becoming more and more like an ordinary girl.
Knew what it was to be afraid.
Suddenly, Shelly's white soul silhouette surged a circle, and a bit of black was spreading rapidly from his center in all directions.
"Surprisingly, it's turning into an evil spirit?"
Sol immediately raised his hand.
"Strike the Necrotic Spirit."
Then ...
"Strike the Necromancer" x 10!!!!
The little bit of black finally collapsed and dissipated powerlessly, while the white silhouette was finally devoured by the Gray Maiden Balls.
But after devouring Shelly's soul, those maidens didn't just dissipate.
One by one, they slowly floated their bodies into facing Saul, and the anger on each of their faces turned into deadly resentment.
"It's true that not all resentful spirits will dissipate on their own after killing their enemies."
As soon as the words left his mouth, those spiteful maidens wailed and rushed towards Saul once again.
Saul violently took out a scroll from his arms and violently ripped it open before the gray maiden grudge spirits surrounded him.
Spirit Armor Art Scroll!
Resisting contact attacks from vaporous creatures, redeemable in the Wizard Tower registration room.
A seven-colored transparent bubble wrapped around Sol and Penny.
Those hideous spiteful spirits couldn't get through the bubble no matter how much they attacked.
And Saul stood in the bubble, one by one, killing those teenage grudge spirits easily on point!
"Bang!"
Every time a grudge spirit was killed by Sol, it would pop like a balloon.
Inside, white flotsam flew out of it and slowly drifted down, only to be brought back into the air by the stirring magic before hitting the ground.
When the dozen or so grudge spirits were all taken care of, the entire room was as if it had come to an icy land with goose feather snow drifting.
The Spirit Armor Technique automatically disappeared when its time was up.
Going out in case of danger, Saul exchanged some 1st rank sorcery scrolls in advance.
It was just that each of those scrolls was very expensive, and Saul estimated the thickness of his wallet and didn't exchange too many.
Saul had a slight fleshache for a second, and got up, ready to go see if Shelly's anomaly could slightly make up for his sorcery scrolls.
