Chapter 48: This kind of determination is not very good
After a new piece of plastic bone was born in the large box, Saul had finally collected enough plastic bone.
This unintentionally discovered plastic bone was resistant to heat, water immersion, and acid corrosion. After Sol's secondary processing, it also became more pliable and could not be cut by ordinary sharp tools.
And this material will become as soft as playdough under continuous electric shock, but also convenient for Saul's subsequent processing.
Sending away the first guest, Saul returned to the experimental table, the solution in the crucible has basically evaporated, only a small puddle of viscous material at the bottom.
Some like the little bit of soup base left after the big fire to collect the juice.
Saul carefully picked up the still-hot crucible with his white-boned left hand, poured it into another bottle, and sealed it.
With that, his preparations were essentially complete.
Tonight, or tomorrow, the final – witch body transformation – would begin!
Saul sat down in his chair and leaned back lazily, looking at the bottles and jars on the table in a daze.
He had an illusion, as if he would no longer be himself after completing the transformation.
But without the transformation, he would never be able to control his destiny.
Glancing at the hourglass clock on the wall, it was only four in the afternoon.
Three hours to go. ...
Saul glanced back at the candlelight on the transporter table again.
The candle flame was dim.
The day was over as well.
"Should we send that second level apprentice's brain to Konza?"
The second level apprentice that Saul had gotten when Peggy died last time hadn't been given to Kongsa yet.
He had studied it himself for half a day and couldn't understand how Kongsa was going to utilize it.
With Saul's current knowledge base, brains weren't exactly good sorcery material.
It was too prone to hidden dangers inside.
"Forget it, that second level apprentice has already given me a great surprise anyway. His head, let's give it to Kongsa in exchange for other favors I can use."
Saul walked over to the cabinet and held out a box from it, wrapping it again in the pale yellow leather Kongsha had given him.
The leather had dealt with the evil spirits last time, and thankfully it hadn't broken, but it was unavoidably tainted with a foul odor, and even with Saul's best efforts to get rid of it, it only got to the point where it wasn't so disgusting.
And that mask ... Saul temporarily tied up.
He wrapped the box and walked to the door.
Saul's hand pressed against the handle of the scarlet door, and suddenly stopped again.
Raising his hand.
"Snap!"
Gave himself a slap.
"Numb, it's come to this, what are you running away from?"
Saul was so strong that the right side of his face immediately swelled up.
But the pain also made him awake.
He cradled the yellow leather-wrapped box and placed it back in the cabinet while he regained his footing in front of the lab bench.
"The sooner we complete the transformation, the sooner we are out of the woods. Delay and failure are death! Don't wait any longer, start the experiment now!"
It was because Saul had prepared all the materials for the sorcerous body transformation today that he had been absent-minded all day today.
Even Kerri could tell that he was nervous.
The fear of failure made Saul even subconsciously avoid the start of the experiment.
It wasn't until he reached the door that he slapped himself hard, using the pain to awaken memories of his several near-death fears.
"Cid is still watching, Konza is not a benign person, and Mentor Katz's test isn't for many days, so how do you have time to waste?"
Saul took a deep breath and resolutely reached down and opened the bottle, removing all the plastic bones inside, placing them in a large tray and beginning to shock them.
The apparatus for electroshocking was a weapon inscribed with a 0th order tremor shock, which was purchased by Saul, removed the excess parts, and converted into experimental equipment.
The mountain of plastic bones began to soften and collapse under the continuous electric shock.
But it would still take some time before it could be used.
Saul opened other bottles and began to mix a fusion liquid.
This fusion liquid would quickly evaporate and lose its effectiveness, so Saul could only mix it on the spot after the plastic bone had softened.
However, because he had practiced this many times before, there were no surprises in this blending.
Other bits and pieces had also been prepared.
Saul stared at the softening of the plastic bones on his plate as he removed his shirt and casually slung it over the back of the chair. Saul held up his left hand, which was white bone up to the wrist.
The plastic bone had softened completely and Saul quickly poured it into the fusion solution.
He watched as the plastic bone continued to get smaller and softer under the fusion liquid, taking the form of cement.
Saul picked up a few more canisters of potions on the table and tilted his head back to take them.
He even took a small drop of the one Kongsa had given him, which could absorb elemental particles quickly.
Finally, he reached out and grabbed a handful of softened plastic bone directly from the fusion solution and began to apply it to his white-boned left hand.
The fusion liquid burned part of Sol's skin, and the blood mixed in, turning the clear liquid a dark red.
Saul huffed in pain.
But his own flesh and blood were part of what was needed for the transformation, so he could only endure the pain and continue.
As more and more plastic bone was applied to Saul's left hand, the left hand, which hadn't felt anything for a long time, began to gradually feel pain.
Pain was better than numbness.
Saul kept his eyes peeled for the hardback.
The fact that the latter was quiet was the greatest testament to Saul.
Finally, all the plastic bones were applied to his left hand, and Saul's right hand was already dripping with blood.
But he didn't stop and continued to use his right hand, which was full of wounds, to plasticize the softened plastic bone.
This step was like kneading playdough or doing pottery, only the material was more special.
A hand gradually took shape under Saul's efforts – Saul hadn't played with clay in private in order to make this fake hand look good.
With the white bone inside as support, a fake hand mixed with blood was quickly molded.
This hand was a circle larger than Saul's right hand, but when Saul grew up, it shouldn't be so abrupt.
Once the connection between the white bone and the skin place was completed, Saul again extended the entire forearm of his left hand into a large jar filled with solution.
A plume of white smoke rose up, obscuring one's vision.
The general aroma of roasting meat burrowed into Saul's nostrils, but failed to jog his memory of the food.
There was no way around it, it hurt too much.
Just holding back from taking his hand out took all of Saul's willpower.
In order to distract himself, Saul even began to ramble.
"It's so painful for me to just remodel one hand, and what horrors have I gone through like Sister Kongsha. And Mentor Monica, is it true that she's not conscious of the electric shocks on her body at all times?"
"Right, there's also Pink Da who's only been seen once. Does he have no skin, like in the horror stories, and can only use bandages for skin ..."
The hourglass clock reminded him that time was up.
Saul jerked his arm out as soon as he could, and from the force of it, his whole body fell backwards onto the floor.
With his back hitting the ground, Saul rolled on the ground curled up with his right hand holding his left.
Easily waiting for the pain to subside, Saul, covered in sweat, slowly sat up. A drop of water marks on the ground, being mercilessly rubbed over.
He propped up his body with his right hand, pulling on the table leg of the lab bench, and stood up a little.
The extreme pain made his brain swell.
The pain seemed to start spreading from his left hand to his whole body, and Saul only felt uncomfortable everywhere up and down his circumference.
There was even an illusion that he was going to die if he became very sick.
But the hardback book settled down and made Saul realize that he was still alive.
He shivered and went for the last potion.
It was the heart from the second level apprentice who had been possessed by the last evil spirit.
A heart that grew on a dead body but still had life in it.
Saul had examined the heart and there was no toxicity, there was even magic potion in it that hadn't worn off yet, and it was that magic potion that kept the heart still active.
Saul analyzed that after that second level apprentice was seriously injured, he took some kind of life-saving magic potion and insisted on returning to the wizard tower. However, he didn't know that he was possessed by an evil spirit, and he died at the last minute and brought the evil spirit back to the Sorcerer's Tower.
Of course, there are more evil thoughts.
That second level apprentice came back alive, only to be clicked by Peggy, who wanted to pick up materials for nothing.
Now, everything was cheap for Saul.
