Chapter 4 - One more to add another to find and stand

Jacob and Chandra finally stepped out of the portal. Jacob stretched.

"Darn, that felt like an eternity," he said.

"It's only been three minutes," Chandra replied.

"Still, any amount of time is long when you're stuck in a portal."

"So, why are we here?" Chandra asked. "Could you at least try to explain that to me?"

"I thought I did," Jacob said.

"You just said we need to find something with powers. That's not brief. That's a poorly executed speech. And it's not even; it's just bad. It doesn't explain anything."

"I don't know. Everyone else understood."

"I'm not everyone else. Geez, whatever. So, who's the target?"

"A person, I think."

"You don't even know who the target is? Are you joking?"

Jacob shrugged. "Of course, I know. Stop being so serious."

"The target is the most powerful of Dr. Howard Strange's superpowered subordinates."

Chandra: So, just where do you come from? Why are you so hyper-focused on this? Yes, it means all creation will die, but I would still expect someone of a serious tone to handle such situations.

Jacob: well then, my curious friend, let me tell you

Once upon a time, a wonderful world came to be, although I had no idea what kind of world it would turn out to be. My memories of my parents are hazy, as I lost them at a young age. But when I arrived at the orphanage, I was warmly embraced by the inspector and Terence, who quickly became like family to me. The inspector was like a caring father figure, and Terence became a fantastic brother. Life was enjoyable and fulfilling.

However, one fateful day, everything changed. I learned that a man named Dr. Howard had waged war on multiple universes, quickly obliterating countless worlds. Eventually, he found his way to my universe, and that's when everything fell apart. There was an eerie silence, followed by the loud sound of gunfire tearing apart my world. Helplessly, I lost everything in an instant – my dear brother and father figure were gone forever. The overwhelming grief was suffocating, but destiny had other plans for me. I was transported to a new world where I encountered Oscar, one of my new companions.

I now have a new family that surrounds me, but the pain from my past still lingers. However, I know that not all bonds are meant to be broken. I am determined to find the inspector, one of my main priorities. With the support of my new family, I embarked on a journey to search for others affected by Dr. Howard's destruction. Deep in my heart, I believe we can reach them somehow, and my unwavering determination refuses to let my dream disappear. Nonetheless, my commitment lies with my new family, so for now, I will lay this story to rest, never forgetting the losses I have endured.

It's not sad, but there's more, just not yet, you know? Hehe, well, let's look for them now, yeah? Wait, what about your story?

Chandra:

Since I'll be spending a lot of time with you and your team, allow me to share a story from my past as well . Once upon a time, I was born into a world where extraordinary powers were not common but rare. Those without envied those blessed with them, yet society remained vast and unified. I entered this world with powers, summoning and creation abilities that were uncommon, albeit limited to my own capabilities.

My adept use of these powers garnered admiration from all quarters. I was hailed as exceptionally skillful, a beacon of pride among those gifted with extraordinary abilities. Over time, I transcended to become a hero within our community, defending against external threats while safeguarding my family, particularly my brother it was my best time and i don't regret any of it everyone praised me and it only made me look forward to doing more good as time developed i honed in more on my powers and fostered their growth to unmatched levels leering how to summon thing of greater mass and leaving the ability to control this items turn s out i can summon some pretty cool things i wanted to keep leaving for their sake for society's sake i knew i could reach great efts had i continued and i still waited to with practice id be the whole worlds defender However, the idyllic harmony was shattered when society turned against us.

Hunted down one by one, we refused to wield our powers in defense, adhering to an oath never to raise them against our own people. Despite our non-resistance, we were cast out, our once-united society now casting us aside the began to chase and as we duked they still continued to constantly chase until they cornered us in an alleyway i could do nothing g but cry yet hold onto my beliefs the whole time, i used my power to destroy the wall and ran through it we tried finding a place to hide around us laid nothing but besieged hero's homes and In our desperate flight, my parents sought to shield me and told us where to hide , but in doing so, they were cornered victim to the mob's violence they fought back physically charging at each of them until someone came to to help them our parents wouldn't back down all they had to do was give us away but they refused to they continued to stand against the mob adhering to their oath but not backing down punching those who dare to through to our area but they were overwhelmed and they were killed our hearts shattered as we watched the mob continue to chase those around us we saw blank and our world was broken apart and we ran anywhere we could the first started to rage as people began to burn the houses and people began to revolt

With my brother by my side, we fled, feeling estranged from the world we once knew. Witnessing our parents' tragic fate fueled our determination to forge a new life away from persecution. Over time, alongside others who survived the purge, we established our own civilization, leveraging our powers not for warfare, but as tools for growth and sustenance.

Despite society's opposition, we persevered, pushing back against adversity with unwavering resolve. Our vision remained steadfast: to one day reunite with society, to establish trust and unity among all. We envisioned a community of honesty and integrity, one where all could thrive. Through dedication and perseverance, our makeshift refuge blossomed into a sanctuary we could truly call home, one we could live in and hope again we'd reach our goal to just live in our world united under the precedent that we help each other following forever i still to this day have no regrets i will rebuild and i will remain determined enough to lead them back into diplomacy it's what my parents would have wanted and what i want and so i will chase that at the end but first i must take care of dr Howard ill be back to them soon

Yeah, I know it's not sad and melancholy, but we all have a story to tell, I suppose….

A figure appeared out of nowhere.

"So, you must be the renowned All-Verse superhero," the figure remarked. "Do you remember me? I've been closely observing your activities from the shadows. It's intriguing that we've finally crossed paths, although you won't survive this encounter. Nevertheless, it will be an interesting confrontation. Whether you recall me or not doesn't matter. How about bidding farewell? I'm quite curious to witness your capabilities. Let's see what you can do, Project C."

As the world turned dark, the figure emitted a black glow, with black squares surrounding their form. "It's now time for you to face the consequences of your actions, Project C."

The area's life force plummeted, and the world faded into darkness, becoming an empty void. Suddenly, the figure appeared out of thin air, summoning immense hands. They engaged in combat with Jacob, thrusting him into a tree and shattering it. The figure summoned a rock, crushing it into the ground and piercing Jacob as he landed. Afterward, the figure began throwing sharp black spiked at him, a barrage of weapons from their shared adventures—bombs, swords, knives, orbs, and flames—all hurled towards Jacob. The figure summoned a colossal laser beam from a black orb, preparing to shoot it. The beam dug into the ground like a powerful drilling machine where Jacob once stood, reducing everything to a dust cloud.

Finally, Jacob reached his breaking point. He stood up and confronted the figure. "I do remember you. I simply wanted to forget about you. You abandoned us for your benefit, never bothering to reunite with us. It angers me how you lacked the integrity we held in such high regard. You are no longer one of us, Inspector. Yes, I remember you, and I see the side you have chosen. If we must be enemies in this existence, then I will personally end your life!"

Jacob began to radiate with an intense glow, levitating high into the air and raining down a flurry of fireballs that engulfed the entire world. He sent each star descending slowly, growing larger as they approached. Witnessing this immense attack, the Inspector raised his hands in the air.

"Jacob, is this all you've got? It is truly comical how the power that aided your journey will ultimately be your downfall. You are finished with your assault, and now it is my turn."

Suddenly, the world began to emit a dark glow, as thousands of black figures made of goo started charging towards Jacob, multiplying in vast numbers upon each death. Jacob unleashed a massive shockwave through his sword, halting the onslaught and silencing the void. However, he was overwhelmed by a continuous wave of opponents, no matter his actions. They relentlessly attacked him from all directions, and Jacob fought back despite being hopelessly outnumbered. Gradually, his spirit started to waver, and a crack in his soul formed, but he gathered his strength and firmly declared, "No!"

He raised his sword, obliterating the entire void. Surprisingly, the Inspector was caught off guard and swiftly launched another assault, relentlessly throwing Jacob into the air, grabbing him with his hands, and slamming him into the ground over and over again. Despite the unwavering intensity of the attack, Jacob remained resolute and refused to surrender. He jumped back up into the sky and threw his sword at the ground, causing a massive explosion that destroyed the entire continent they were fighting on, leaving molten lava everywhere the explosion had touched.

"Not yet, Jacob. Trust me, I have no desire to do this, but you leave me no choice," the Inspector said, his tone grave. "Forget that. You may possess great control over outer magic and physical strength, but what about mental fortitude? This will become your worst nightmare, as every action you have taken will be turned against you. It pains me to admit that your unwavering integrity, sacrificing your life for others, will be your downfall. I shall bring your best nightmare, one you will never wake up from!"

In the heart of Jacob's original home, a malevolent figure began to swell, eclipsing the very planet with its monstrous proportions. Sinister laughter echoed through the air, heralding the commencement of a nightmare. The figure, shrouded in darkness, illuminated every crevice of Jacob's existence, projecting his memories like ghastly spectacles on cosmic screens.

Within these haunting memories, everyone Jacob held dear met relentless demise, a tormenting manifestation of his deepest fears. The cycle of loss against the nefarious Dr. Howard played out in a relentless loop, leaving Jacob powerless. Bonds he had cherished were systematically dismantled as the world turned crimson, warping reality itself.

Amidst the haunting visions, brother, Terence, materialized, questioning Jacob's choices. Why would you let us die Jacob? We fought for you.. Oscar emerged from the shadows, You left us we tried to help but you left us with him why would you let us die. Reality crumbled as friends and allies suffered, his memories burned over and over again he could do nothing but watch as everything fell apart in front of him, his memories turning to dust with Paradox and Chandra expressing their disappointment, hurling accusations at Jacob for their collective downfall.

Chandra's accusation cut deep, "You were a good friend. Why did you abandon us to him? You betrayed us, leaving my brother and my world at the mercy of Dr. Howard. I should've never aligned myself with you. You coward..." paradox: you we the chaos stopped you made me stop the chaos i tried to keep up the chaos but you stopped it you let me fall even though we tried to fight. The world spun even faster Jacob's mind was faltering even more, his heart collapsing his mind and sanity falling apart in his mind as the world continued to spin over and over and faster as more memories appeared Imrage: why did you let us die just give up. I already did. There is no point in continuing this journey Jacob this was all already there is nothing left to do. Alexander: Jacob i thought we could have trusted you but i was wrong i thought i could fight with you my loss was my downfall it was joining you

Jacob's world disintegrated entirely, his soul on the precipice of collapse under the weight of relentless accusations and the ghastly scenes of Dr. Howard's brutal conquests. His essence faltered, shattered, and weakened, seemingly helpless against the impending darkness.

The malevolent figure, sensing Jacob's vulnerability, prepared for the coup de grâce. Each memory burned vividly as Jacob witnessed his friends futilely battling Dr. Howard, succumbing to their doom one by one. The resolve weakened as his soul fractured into irreparable pieces.

Yet, an indomitable spark within Jacob refused to bow to the encroaching darkness. The figure readied a lethal strike, but an unyielding determination surged within Jacob's soul, resisting the pull of defeat. He proclaimed, "I cannot easily give up my life. I have a duty to protect those around me and the world, All verse, and beyond."

Emanating a radiant glow, myriad colored orbs encircled Jacob, swirling like a cosmic tempest. He declared, "If I surrender so easily, then I would be no different from Dr. Howard. I refuse to abandon everything." Ascending higher into the celestial expanse, he engaged the figure with blinding speed, launching rapid slashes while becoming a fleeting specter, invisible to the malevolent entity.

The figure, bewildered, attempted to escape through teleportation, only to be intercepted by Jacob mid-teleportation. The figure exclaimed, "How is he so swift?" Jacob, with unwavering confidence, retorted, "Inspector, where do you think you're going?" Infusing an orb into his sword, a celestial glow enveloped the blade as Jacob prepared a colossal slash against the figure.

As a massive chromatic laser erupted from Jacob's charged sword, the figure was sent hurtling off the planet. Jacob pursued, slashing with incomprehensible speed, each stroke manifesting into colossal rainbow slashes. The inspector tried to dodge every single one but Jacob was so quick the inspector could do nothing but be hit over and over gain Jacobs aura was different the power emanating from the radiant glow of his sword and will the inspector could feel it with a massive slash and stroke 5 rainbows slash collide into one space causing a massive exploding hurling the inspector down as Jacob continued to slash and then kick down as a laser emanated from his sword sending him to the planet at hyper speed sending dr Howard to the ground.

Inspector: Well, well, well, Jacob. Here we are. I am immensely proud of you. I teleported here to ensure you were prepared for the challenges ahead. I wanted to see if you were willing to make sacrifices. However, what I needed to know about you was a willingness to do that. Instead, I observed your unwavering desire to save everyone.

I understand that I abandoned you, but please allow me to explain. When the omniversal purge commenced, I had anticipated his arrival in our world. You don't necessarily need to comprehend this fully, but let me clarify: you are an integral part of everyone you meet. Your soul embodies genuine love, a truly remarkable love, and that is the power of something that can end Dr Howard, which is why he came to our world. Each encounter fortifies your determination and, even if it wavers at times, your love for your friends and relationships *cough* - your relationships with others are so profound that they surpass any other bond. It is a love so powerful that it can hardly be equaled.

I used most of my power to protect our universe, rendering it impossible for him to destroy it. Consequently, he had to visit our world personally. Then, I summoned a portal for you, ensuring your safety, and later gathered another for Terence. Trust me when I say that our separation was not abandonment. Instead, it was a necessary course of action to safeguard both of you. We stood across from each other, and Dr. Howard continued to cause significant destruction. However, I still had control over our universe, limiting the damage he could do. I decided to remove the protection, resulting in the universe disappearing. It left Dr. Howard and I in a void, facing each other. Jacob: So we're finally reunited and you're just going to die on me? This is what about all those stories of creation and greatness that you helped control life and death itself. Why are you not going to use it now? What the Heck is wrong with you? Me and Terence can finally see you again and you're just going to give up, you're a Darn coward! *Jacobs eyes began to tear up and they fell on to his jacket and it began to rain droplets then sprinkles then rain covered the whole world they were on the sole disintegrating into the blue sky the heat of it all faltering as the inspector began to disintegrate more he had one last thing inspector: maybe some of those stories were over exaggerated but i have just one last story to tell you about why i had to leave you and your brother i know it will be hard to get over my death and even if you tell him remember there are other bonds out there to make

Inspector: Dr. Howard, you have always had substantial issues, but destroying everything for your gain is incredibly unethical. Just because your world has perished does not justify your actions of destroying other worlds or universes, especially muti verses. You are deeply immersed in a morally questionable path, Dr. Howard.

Dr. Howard: Oh, did you genuinely sacrifice yourself for those teenagers? I assume you are already aware of Project C, aren't you?

Inspector: He is a living person. It is not right to dehumanize them.

Dr. Howard: And what about Terence? Is he of any importance? It doesn't seem so. Let me ask you again, tell me their whereabouts.

Inspector: You have no evidence against me. I will protect them. I know where they are, and you don-*He was interrupted by Howard.*

Dr. Howard: Oh, I don't know? I was merely deceiving you. He is alone on an island right?

Inspector: How did you know I teleported them accurately! There is no way.

Dr. Howard: I am the Omniverse . I know where everything is. I can harm them now as I have troops with them. If you dare to intervene, each one will die. So, I advise against attempting to protect them.

Inspector: I will not allow you to harm them. Even if it requires everything I have, I will ensure their safety. So, Dr. Howard, come and face me.

Once inseparable friends, Dr. Howard and the Inspector stood poised against each other, their eyes gleaming with the intensity of impending battle. Their former camaraderie was now a distant memory, replaced by a bitter rivalry that threatened to shatter the very fabric of existence.

"We once vowed to create worlds, galaxies, universes, and all verses together," Dr. Howard lamented, his voice heavy with disappointment. "How could you have strayed so far from our shared vision? Your actions threaten the very fabric of creation, and I cannot allow that to happen."

The Inspector's face, etched with determination, countered, "Your obsession with control has blinded you, Howard. You fail to see the destructive path you're on. I will not stand by and watch you jeopardize the future of all we hold dear."

"Howard," he pleaded, his voice resonating with the weight of their shared history, "we were friends once. Why can't we go back to that? Let us abandon this path of destruction and rediscover the camaraderie we once shared."

But Dr. Howard remained unmoved, his eyes fixed on the ultimate prize – the power to control traits, the essence of existence. He was convinced this power was necessary to safeguard the all verse from a child who posed an existential threat.

"That child possesses the power to destroy everything," Dr. Howard declared, his voice laced with conviction. "If we fail to control him, the allverse is doomed. I will not allow that to happen, even if it means sacrificing our friendship."

"Alright then, Howard. I see how it is. If it takes fighting you, I will, even though it pains me to do so. For them. For existence. For the omniverse!"

The Inspector charged at Dr. Howard, slashing lightly with his sword, but Dr. Howard effortlessly dodged it.

"Nice try," Dr. Howard sneered, suddenly appearing behind the Inspector. A massive laser burst from his hand, striking the Inspector downwards. He dashed forward, teleporting behind the Inspector and shoving his fist into his back.

The Inspector jumped back, moving at such incredible speed that millions of afterimages surrounded Dr. Howard. They all charged forward, hands outstretched.

Dr. Howard slashed around himself, massive scythe-like arcs cutting through the air, dissipating the afterimages.

"Howard, come on! You can join us. You don't need to seek the darkness. If you take my hand, we can find a way through this. Your way is not the correct path. Please, see reason!" the Inspector pleaded, desperation in his voice.

Dr. Howard slashed his sword, his expression cold and unyielding. "You fail to see the truth, Inspector. I'm not here to be your friend anymore. This quest is beyond our control. You may try all you want to reach me, but I'm done with my mind being clouded. I see something beyond our original mission, but you're too blind to understand. So be it. I will strike you down for your ignorance."

Dr. Howard summoned a massive laser that shot through the Inspector, freezing him in pain. As the laser burned through him, the Inspector fell to his knees, the fight seemingly over.

"All you're trying to do is stop me from achieving true power," Dr. Howard said, his voice filled with disdain. "It's your jealousy that clouds you. You don't understand that I'm the smart one. You seek power for control, but mine is to save others from too much power."

He kicked the Inspector down on his back, standing over him triumphantly.

Howard: You constantly bother me with your incessant bickering, you know that! *Dr. Howard charges forward, his sword gleaming as he slashes at the inspector, the clash of metal echoing through the air. The inspector swiftly brings up his own blade, parrying Dr. Howard's attack and countering with a deft twist that momentarily catches Dr. Howard off guard.*

Inspector: Your arrogance blinds you, Howard. This isn't about novelty; it's about justice!

*The two engage in a ferocious exchange of blows, each strike resonating with power as they push each other to their limits. Their movements are so swift that onlookers can barely follow, and the very air crackles with the intensity of their clash.*

Howard: This is just the beginning! *With a sudden burst of speed, Dr. Howard leaps into the air, conjuring mystical energy that he hurls at the inspector, who narrowly dodges the attack. Seizing the momentary distraction, Dr. Howard teleports behind the inspector, his strikes raining down with brutal force, each blow shattering the inspector's defenses.*

Inspector: *gritting his teeth* I won't yield to the likes of you!

*Despite his resolve, the inspector struggles to keep up with Dr. Howard's relentless assault. With each strike, his sword grows heavier, his movements slower.*

Howard: Accept your defeat, inspector. You're no match for my power!

*With a final, devastating blow, Dr. Howard shatters the inspector's sword, leaving him defenseless.*

Howard: Now, do you see? You never stood a chance.

*Breathing heavily, the inspector stares defiantly at Dr. Howard, refusing to surrender despite the odds stacked against him.*

Inspector: You know what? Fine. I see how it is. You want to fight, huh? If that's what it takes, then so be it. I'll fight you. I don't know why you're pitting me against you, but if that's what it is, then I will! FACE ME! *Suddenly, the inspector's hands begin to condense into a small size, glowing intensely.*

Inspector: Remember these? That's right, the Hands of Destruction. It's time for you to be taken down. Just as you said to me before, you will fall. Now, I'll show you my true power. Get ready, because you're about to face me. I still don't want to fight, but you give me no choice. So, this is the option you've chosen, and due to that, I'll take you down without mercy!

*The inspector moves with incredible speed, summoning torrents of energy that explode into massive nuclear-sized blasts around Dr. Howard. No matter where Dr. Howard aims, he can't seem to hit the inspector, who appears behind him, slamming him forward with a shield and unleashing a devastating laser that tears through Dr. Howard's defenses.*

Inspector: You know, Howard, I don't understand why you'd betray our old life for a mere threat. Did it mean anything? Answer me, Howard!

*As the light fades, the inspector disappears entirely, leaving Dr. Howard searching fruitlessly.*

Dr. Howard: Are you going to continue hiding in the shadows? You call me light, yet you're too scared to even show yourself. Come out, inspector!

Inspector: Here, Howard!

*Dr. Howard continues to shoot lasers everywhere, but they hit nothing.*

Inspector: Is this not what you wanted from me? You wanted a fight, and you can't even handle me. Reconsider your path, Howard. I'm offering you a second chance at mercy. If you take it, we can rebuild, forget the destruction, and continue as friends.

Dr. Howard: You think I'd want to befriend you after everything? You dumped everything for one person. I could never see you as a friend. I'm disappointed in myself as well as you. So, watch your back, because you might get struck down quickly.

*Dr. Howard teleports behind the inspector, marking a deep gash.*

Inspector: So, that's it? I can't find the power to fight you and bring you down. But I still have faith in you. One final chance. Remember the times we created together, promised to protect creation? What about our first solar system?

Dr. Howard: Bringing up old ties won't make me pity you. I lack empathy for you, no matter what you say or bring up. I won't give up easily on our friendship or on creation. But neither will I forgive you for what you've done.

Inspector: Please, Dr. Howard, don't give up on our friendship or on creation. We sought to protect it. Don't abandon it for your goals. Please.

Inspector: So, that's it, huh? You're not showing any mercy. In that case, I'm done with you, Howard. I've had enough. I'm taking you down!

*The inspector moves at an incredible speed, blinding Dr. Howard's perception. He teleports behind him, stabbing him right through the chest and summoning a laser that propels him through the void. Dr. Howard tries to escape, but the inspector's onslaught is relentless.*

Inspector: You know, I gave you a chance to choose our side. The Hand of Destruction offers more power than that of creation. You should've joined us when you had the chance. Now, you'll pay for it!

*Dr. Howard jumps up, attempting to slash at the inspector, but each attack is effortlessly dodged and parried. The inspector's expression remains blank, devoid of any emotion.*

Dr. Howard: Let me make my move!

*Dr. Howard summons a massive laser, causing the inspector to drop to his knees, unable to defend himself as the energy courses through him.*

Dr. Howard: See? You couldn't even match one of my moves. Now it's my turn to take you down. You should've focused on defeating me long ago. No matter how far you run, I'm coming for you.

*As the inspector kneels, Dr. Howard summons countless swords, piercing through him. He then unleashes a massive laser, pushing the inspector downward. Creating a planet, he hurls it at the inspector, causing massive explosions.*

Inspector: I still have the opportunity to save you from yourself. Your path into darkness... let me help you, please.

Howard: There's no use. All this fighting was for nothing, and you're about to realize why you never stood a chance in the first place. Are you ready? All that talk earlier about saving me, and for what exactly? I see it as a loss you've taken here!

*Dr. Howard dashes forward, kicking the kneeling inspector high into the sky, then grabbing and stabbing straight through him upon his landing. Memories flood Dr. Howard's mind, both good and bad, distracting him.*

Inspector: Howard, please!

*Ignoring the plea, Dr. Howard dashes forward at incredible speed, pushing the inspector even further down. Charging up, he creates a planet on which they land. Dr. Howard grabs the inspector by the neck, pinning him against a mountain, then smashes him inside it with a rock, battering him at extreme speed until it collapses. Dr. Howard then lands on the inspector's back, dragging him through the ground, leaving drag marks and smoke, before mashing him down, grabbing a sword, and stabbing through the inspector.*

Inspector: So, that's it, huh? After all we've been through, you were willing to kill me in the end. Maybe I was blind not to see it. I was stronger, yet I showed you mercy. Oh, how I wished I could've received the same treatment. You're on the wrong path right now, Howard. Let this be my last plea to you. Do not destroy, manipulate, or disrupt creation any further. I'm asking you to uphold our vow, for the sake of the all verse . All I ever wanted was a world, and as our power grew, so did your shadow over me and the others you have to not seek to control all that exists leave it be independent a lot of things we created does not deserve to total control i want you to follow my last message to you but in case you dont i need that one more last stand against you if not by words then by force . I will not give up!

"No! I'm not giving up. I'm the only one anywhere with the power to defeat you, and that's exactly what I will do!"

The Inspector dashed forward at incredible speeds, leaving thousands of afterimages in his wake. He surged through Dr. Howard, then summoned thousands of clones that began to dash forward and slash at him. Dr. Howard stood up and summoned his own clones, but they were completely overwhelmed by the sheer number and power of the Inspector's assault.

The Inspector dashed forward again, grabbing Dr. Howard by his collar and dragging him through the sky before throwing his limp body at a distant planet. Summoning a meteor, he slammed it down on his foe.

"You know, Howard, I'm tired of trying to save you. It's about time you experienced true destruction. CHROMATIC CONVERGENCE!"

The Inspector's hands began to move in a rapid, gatling-gun-like manner, spinning into one massive hand. Dr. Howard, pinned by the clones, couldn't move. The colossal hand fired forward, summoning a laser of dark, swirling colors that could be seen from every plane of existence.

Dr. Howard screamed as the laser engulfed him, its strange light marking its devastating path. Entire omniverses and beyond were destroyed by the hand of destruction, their negative traits stunting their growth entirely, leaving nothing but voids in their wake.

But through the dust of it all, a figure emerged: Dr. Howard, half-alive, his body melting. He shouldn't have managed to survive. He should've died. How is he still active?

Dr. Howard: "I don't break that easily. It doesn't matter what powers you try to use against me or what you abuse. Your reckoning is now here, Inspector, so ready up. I've been waiting to use the hand of creation against you at full power, and now it's finally going to happen. So much talk and not enough bite. Oh, the regrets you'll have—if you even live to have them!"

Inspector: "This is impossible! How did you manage to survive that at all?"

Dr. Howard charged him, throwing the Inspector into the sky. He summoned thousands of planets and shot every single one at him. Each planet continuously fired cosmic energy.

"Cosmic cataclysm!"

Thousands of galactic-sized Dark Orbs appeared, powered and fueled by a collapsing galaxy. As they shot, time itself was being ripped apart, striking the already weakened Inspector and flinging him back. Dr. Howard summoned a world made from the deadliest materials and hurled him through it at maximum speed.

"It's now time for the MONOCHROMATIC OBLIVION. It's time to die, you coward!"

Galactic blasts and converging worlds spun into a single point in his hand, rotating like a gatling gun. The energy built up, moving faster and faster before firing, melting the planet instantly. As it went off, Dr. Howard summoned a blaster, threw the Inspector into the air, then shot him back down into the ground. He jumped up and landed, creating a massive pillar of flames and rock, leaving the Inspector's body shattered.

The Inspector, barely holding on, summoned thousands of lasers and shot every single one at Dr. Howard, breaking through the planet like an intense drill, causing continuous explosions. The lasers drilled through the Inspector, weakening him further as he began to fall apart. With his last strength, he summoned a small portal.

"Look behind you," he whispered.

Dr. Howard grabbed him by the neck and dragged him through the ground at hyper speeds, injuring his head even more. He then shot him up, forcing him to float, then sent him across the omniverse.

"Focus point pierce!"

Two thin needles poked right through the Inspector.

Dr. Howard: "Don't think I don't know what you're trying to do—escape? You think I'd let you!"

The needles began to form intricate, invisible strings around the Inspector.

"No. You've taken my arm and half my face. I can't make that back because you wanted a light show with your side of the hand. Now it's time to die. Even if you escape, those strings will finish the job."

The Inspector, desperate, teleported as far as possible, hoping to evade the inevitable.

"If I hadn't shown mercy, I would've won my friend back. I would've managed to keep him on the side of light," the Inspector lamented. "Jacob, no matter what, you need to make sure he dies. I know it will be hard, but if I couldn't stop him, you must. I need you to take this Chromatic Hand of Destruction. It will strengthen your traits, except for love."

A hand floated out of the Inspector's soul, breaking apart and revealing multiple darker colors that surrounded and merged into Jacob.

"I'm sorry, Jacob. This is the last you'll see of me. I need you to keep going. Stay determined. Your team is still too small to take him on. I'm sorry I couldn't have done more for you. Goodbye."

The Inspector's dust flew into the air and disappeared, his heart nearly empty, shattering in front of Jacob.

Chandra: "Jacob? Are you okay?"

Jacob's form began to be covered in red; his smile grew from ear to ear. The red formation dissipated.

Chandra: "Okay, well, that's, um, Jacob, are you okay?"

Jacob: "Yeah."

Chandra: "Mm, okay, if you say so."

Jacob: "Don't worry about it. We need to head back. We genuinely are too weak. I've had enough of loss. I'm going to do something about it. I need to recruit more people. Well, it's time to head back to the All-Verse."
