Jiyeon could already feel the exhaustion creeping in as she and Yura stepped out of the car, back at the manor. The entire drive had been filled with light bickering about Yura's complete lack of culinary prowess and Jiyeon's unsolicited critiques, but the comfortable weight of the conversation was now replaced with the dread of having to face the disarray that awaited them inside.
The door creaked open, and Kang's voice boomed from somewhere within the house. "If you don't get your asses in here and save me from this hell, I'm quitting. I swear to all that's holy, I will."
Jiyeon let out a sigh, tossing her keys onto the nearby table as she glanced at Yura. "Can't we just… go back to the restaurant? Fake an emergency?"
