Dreaming, it's a wonderful thing, it allows you to fathom what you want given you have control of it, but if you don't have control then it can go off the rails, turn into something you don't really want but in the end, you mostly enjoy what is given to you, however this can't be said about everyone and everything.
A female voice screams from the other end of the house "LLOYD! DO I HAVE TO DRAG YOUR UNEDUCATED BUTT OUT OF BED ON THE FIRST DAY!" Lloyd stumbles out of bed and sleepily gets changed into this school clothes, he shouts back "You made brekky!?" a wind picks Lloyd up "I- SOFIA!" the wind flies Lloyd up to where Sofia is in the living room, white hair with faint silver highlights signaling her possession of an element, the air element, the wind drops Lloyd ass-first onto the ground "c'mon sleeping beauty got 10 minutes till the bus gets to the bus stop" she starts walking away "and you and I know both know the bus driver varies in schedules" Lloyd groans throwing his head back as he sits on the ground legs out "but I'm hungry~" Sofia opens the front door "I can by you food from the canteen… again" Lloyd gets up and walks out the door with smile on his face "thanks sis!"
Sofia closes and locks the door; she pulls out her phone as she starts walking and starts texting the contact called 'dad (heart emoji)' "I just texted dad" Lloyd slows to walk side by side with Sofia "did he tell you to be good?" Sofia nods as she puts her phone away "yep, with a 'honey' at the end" she leans in toward Lloyd "he also said I have full permission to punish you if you do anything wrong" Lloyd points at Sofia as she moves away "you better not-" Sofia walks ahead "that's for you to decide"
Another minute of walking later, Sofia and Lloyd meet up with another friend of theirs "Hey Jaiden" Lloyd looks at Jaiden's hair, bright green highlights cover the ends of his hairs, Lloyd's face lights up "YOU HAVE AN ELEMENT!?" Jaiden nods a lil' before shying away slightly "I have the Life Element" Lloyd stops jumping up and down "how- how did you get it?"

A small and quiet street, only occupied by a few people, Jaiden walks down the street with ordinary dark brown hair and light blue eyes, happy as can be.
Several kids play happily on the playground, throwing ball and chasey in between, Jaiden as his observant self sees a car coming down the street a lil' faster than it should be, 1 of the kids, a young girl chases a basketball, the ball goes onto the road and stops in the middle of it, Jaiden notices the girl doesn't look for cars and goes onto the road for the ball, he starts running after the girl as she stops and grabs the ball, she looks up at the screaming car in shock and fear, too scared to move let alone scream, the car not slowing down, Jaiden reaches the girl, hugs her close and puts himself between the girl and the car, he shuts his eyes tightly.
A loud crash is heard in the neighborhood, the car's front boonted and broken, residents exit their homes and see vines protruding from the ground reaching a peak of 6 meters in the air, Jaiden thinking he's kicked the bucket slowly lets go and slowly opens his eyes, he turns around and lays eyes on the vines, he looks around for anybody to have summoned the vines, he sees no one and thinks to himself "did I- do this?" a woman races over and gets down on her knees and hugs the girl, Jaiden eavesdrops on her "oh my baby" sobbing sadly but grateful "my poor, poor baby" she holds her daughter as she stands back up and hugs Jaiden "thank you so much for saving my baby girl" the mother looks at Jaiden, his hair changed no longer just brown hair only but now with green highlights along the ends of his hair and 1 green eye, these mark proof of a present element.
Present Time
"And that's how I got my Element" Sofia punches Jaiden across the face "You could have died!" Jaiden stumbles a lil" before regaining his bearings "well- what about you? How'd you get your element??" Sofia responds "I've had my wind since birth" the bus arrives and picks up Jaiden, Sofia, Lloyd and a few other kids waiting at the bus stop.
The 3 of them arrive at the school where another 2 of their friends are waiting for them out the front under some cover "hey! Your late!" a black hair ruffian shouts out to them, the group walk up to them, the black hair is average male height with deep brown eyes, the other one of the two towers over the 4 of them, he's 6'3 with brown hair and pitch-black eyes, he speaks "was the bus late?" Sofia reply's "yeah, same old 80+ bus driver, don't get how he's still in the business" Jaiden buts in "we should get to our classes, there's not even 2 minutes left till the bell" they all scatter, some going in the same direction, some in the same classes, the 2 from the front of the school head in the same direction "oi Havoc?" the taller of them chats up the ruffian "yes Connor?" and he responds, both facing forward turning a corner going left "could you help me with my English?" Havoc turns and looks up at Connor "yeah sure, I sometimes forget English isn't quite your first language" he taps Connors upper arm with the side of his fist.
The 5 of them, Lloyd, Sofia, Jaiden, Havoc, and Connor all get to their classes in Southern Valock High School (SVHS)
First Lunch arrives, Havoc and Sofia get to the area that the group usually hangs out at, Havoc looks at Sofia as they sit down "where you think the others are?" Sofia gets her lunch from her bag "uhm, Connor and Jaiden were in my class for second period so i know what happened with them, i haven't seen Lloyd all day though" Havoc gets his lunch as well "did Connor get into detention already??" Sofia nods "he dobbed Jaiden in as well so they both copped it" Havoc shakes his head disappointedly "some things never change, even with 'new year, new me' running around" Sofia giggles. Lloyd shows up "guess ill go hungry" Sofia looks up at Lloyd halfway through taking a bite of her sandwich "Mm!-" she gets up and heads to the canteen, Lloyd follows, Havoc stares at the ground then looks around for a few seconds "lonely~ I'm so lonely~ " some 5 minutes later, Connor and Jaiden can be heard approaching Havoc, they're bickering to one another "-no, i didn't do anything yet you still dobbed me in-" Connor cuts him off "-i don't know what your talking about~, you definitely did something wrong" Jaiden's eye twitches "i did something wrong!?" Havoc buts in "stop your flirting and sit your ass's down, Lloyd and Sofia ran off somewhere" Lloyd and Sofia get back, Lloyd with canteen in hand "how welcome of you two to join us, the love birds just arrived" Jaiden starts bickering to Havoc "We are not love birds you twat!" Havoc continues to rile up Jaiden "yeah yeah sure sure" Lloyd sits down next to Jaiden as Sofia sits between Lloyd and Havoc, they chat away about what they did over the Christmas holidays.
"Havoc: Mum and i travelled up to the country Geomagnita, its actually a really cool place, the gravity there is all wacky with the maglev phenomenon up there, so like rocks can float up into the sky and can even stay up there for life, the capital city is actually built on a floating island, the largest one too"
"Jaiden: My mum and i travelled south to Muthara, its amazing there and all the residents there are just so polite, the architecture there is very 2010 but its all kept up with the technology"
"Sofia: Lloyd and i went with dad down into the underground country of Silexia, people say The Government blew a massive hole in the ground spanning in many different directions for kilometers on end, the architect builds on the walls of the tunnels then burrows into the wall for home, the ground of the tunnels are riddled with skyscrapers, we weren't able to get around by car so we had to use our elements to get around quickly, it was incredible"
"Connor: i stayed in Alda, did some exploring outside the walls though, was nice to see the naked nature again"
Sofia turns to Connor "you went outside the walls??" Connor responds "yeah, the things on the outside don't necessarily target those without elements, especially if your alone, less of a 'hotspot' you could say" Sofia waves her hand smacking Connor on the back of the head using her air "That's dangerous you idiot!" Jaiden buts in raising his hand "i haven't quite woken up yet, what's the 'things' again?" Lloyd turns to Jaiden "they're called the Consumed, they're humanoid beings that walk around with only one goal" Sofia cuts Lloyd off "they feed on elements and in turn, brutally slaughter elementals... " silence deafens them all as Sofia reminisces, Havoc sees her shed a tear, he puts his arm around her and pulls her into him "its ok Soph... she's watching her strong and beautiful girl kick every boys ass in element training" she giggles a lil "thank you havoc" she sits back up, Havoc sees a smug grin on Jaiden's face and a intense stare from Lloyd, he gestures to Havoc 'I'm watching you'
First lunch finishes and everyone gets on their way, Sofia and Jaiden both have a subject called Element Training, Sofia explains to Jaiden what element training is whilst they walk "element training is a subject where your taught just how to control your element and eventually how to wield it" Jaiden buts in "sounds self explanatory" Sofia nods "2 students are paired up with each other which is done by the teacher, if 1 person is left out then the Helper will pair with that student, we go out into an isolated building away from the rest of the school, you'll see it when we go out there" Sofia and Jaiden turn a corner, approaching their classroom as another student enters "the 2 students practice between each other with the occasional visit from the teacher and helper if they're free" they enter the classroom to the teacher and another dozen students, Sofia and Jaiden walk over to a couple desks side by side, the teacher tells the class that the isolated building is currently condemned and due to be torn done, he mentions another more flashy building is to take its place, same use however.
Sofia, Jaiden and the rest of the class make their way to the oval just some 50 meters away from the science block, trees cast needed shade around the area in the 36 degree area, the teacher turns to face a student with dyed white hair and a faint trace a blue on the tips of his hairs, 1 eye a bright cyan white colour "whatcha name mate?" the boy answers "I'm Tyson" the teacher asks from him "could you chilly it up for us?" the boy nods as he blows out a cloud of fine icicles cooling the area, the class cools off under the 36 degree heat. "Mr. Walker!" a student gets Walkers attention "since its our first day of the year, could we choose who to pair up with?" Sofia adds onto this "that would work with Jaiden and I since him and i are friends, I've had my element since birth and his only over the Christmas holidays" Walker thinks to himself... "alright raise your hand if you got your element over the Christmas holidays" another 4 students aside from Jaiden raise their hand "nah yeah pick your mates" Sofia and Jaiden pair up as the rest of the class pick their partners.
"Alright ladies, today you's will be learning the very basic of your element, i know most of you's have had your element longer then a woman's patience but seeing as some of you are new to this we will give you a free week of practice then we'll be moving onto more intense shit like range accuracy and essence control" a couple students raise their hands "no, fuck off" some students laugh "don't tell your parents that Walker said that or the school will be off with my head, what're you want?" Walker points to one of the students "uh- what is essence?" Walker looks down "you'll learn it next week" he looks at someone else "you had your hand up" another student to the side of the one walker is looking at speaks "no that was me, you said accuracy, you mean to say we'll be taught how to weaponize our powers?" Walker lets off a groan "i wouldn't put it that way, more utilize or if push came to shove, use defensively, i do not advise you to weaponize you element" Walker turns around and walks off "alright everyone cooled off? No? Good, get started"
different pairs teach each other how to start off with their power, Ice, Fire is casted among other elements.
Jaiden and Sofia take up a corner of the group, she teaches him how to simply summon some vines from the ground "breath deeply in" she and Jaiden breath in deeply "and out" they both breath out "feel your body fill of essence, let it flow through you" Jaiden begins to glow a green colour like the tips of his hair "hold your hands out" Jaiden puts his hands out "raise them up keeping them level" he raises his hands up, at the same time some half a dozen vines come out of the ground, they coil and graze off each other pushing the soil and grass out of its path as they rise "open your eyes"
Jaiden opens his eyes noticing himself glowing "I'm glowing-" stunned to be controlling his life, his gaze is focused on the glow emitting like a small flame engulfing his entire body, he notices the writhing vines past his hands, he squats down in excitement "WOAH! I DID THIS?!" looking up at Sofia, she nods, Jaiden looks back down at the vines, he goes to grab one but as he tries to grab one it recoils moving away from his hand "hey-" he tries again but it recoils again, he groans trying over and over in quick succession "grabbing a product of your element isn't an easy feat" Jaiden looks up again swishing his hand back and forth in hopes of touching a vine "really?" "yeah, only experienced users can pull it off" Sofia gets down to Jaiden's level "some people say its a trauma thing, if you cant grab it then you haven't accepted yourself" Jaiden tilts his head to the side, Sofia turns her head to Jaiden's left "i call it bull but air isn't very grabbable to begin with so i don't have proof... "
15 minutes pass and Mr. Walker yells over the class "Alright yah half developed shits, its time for this years first mock battle!" everyone gathers around Walker "2 of you's will battle it out against each other, remember that there is no winners or losers, this is training after all, now then- can 2 of you step forward!" Sofia and Tyson step forward as well as another 2 elementals, ones a female and has brown hair with deep blue highlights on her hair tips and a deep blue eye to match with the hair, the other is male and is blonde with hair as black as the void and both eyes black "faces only a mother could love" Tyson and the other 2 chuckle, Sofia stays quiet "alright since Tyson and" he points at Sofia "Sofia" Walker nods "Sofia were the first to step forward, they'll be having the first match"
Sofia and Tyson move out to the open field. Walker using his Life element to create a chair for himself rising upward, its made out of vines, he speaks as he sits "alright, the rules of this battle are simple" Sofia gives a stern look to Tyson "if you are pinned, you lose" Tyson grins as he watches Sofia "if you are knocked unconscious, you lose" Walker takes a breather "surrendering is an option and last but not least, if i see either of you in danger, ill step in between you both" Walker looks at Tyson, he grins, then Sofia, she's calm "Begin!"
Tyson makes the first move, he steps forward then halts leaving his arm out front of him, hand up fingers apart, several small icicles grow by his side, they launch forward one after the other, Sofia enhances her movements using her wind allowing her to dodge the projectiles with relative ease, she leans back as 2 fly over her, she gets back up and lunges to her right dodging another icicle, Tyson materializes another dozen icicles as he covers his right hand with ice, he moves forward toward Sofia as more projectiles fly towards her, Tyson swings his ice dagger down at Sofia, she moves to his right as he swings again toward Sofia, she slips downward below and takes out Tysons right leg causing him to fall just clear of her, she throws both her arms toward him, she casts "Zephyr!" a strong gust of wind pushes Tyson back to where he started, rolling across the ground for 5 meters, Sofia stands back up and leaves no room for Tyson to breathe, she slashes her arm upward causing a fine slice of air to travel toward him, Tyson lunges to his right and rolls upon landing, a second slice or air parallel to the ground hurls to Tyson, he jumps forward over the slice and rolls again, she throws her arms forward again "Zephyr!" before the gust can reach Tyson, he throws his arms up casting "Subzero Wall!" he erects a wall of dense ice, Sofia walks toward Tyson, as she gets close to the wall she ceases zephyr and instead waves her arms around parallel to the ground inward, as the arms meet Infront of her she brings her hands to her right cheek, obeying her command the winds simultaneously follows the waving of her arms flanking Tyson from the rear, the wind drives him into cold barricade breaking through it, Sofia gets down low and braces for a strike, she swings at his gut striking him cleanly enhanced by her wind, Tyson lands on the ground winded, walker calls out "That's the battle!" Sofia stands back up with hardly a graze on her, just messy long white hair, she extends her arm to Tyson "good battle, unfortunate it was against me though" she smiles, in a battle just neighboring the oval, havoc watches in aw witnessing Sofia battle.
Walker brings the blue hair girl and black hair boy to the field, he quickly heals Tyson of his injuries and whatever scratches Sofia sustained "alright, we have Farah with the Plasma element and Lachlan with the Dark element" he lowers his voice "you know the rules, begin" Farah instantly casts "Anti-Air! Chain Plasma!" 4 triguns materialize and starts firing relentlessly at Lachlan, Walker leans forward on standby as Lachlan runs forward dodging left and right, he jumps up and dives into his shadow on the ground, Farah ceases fire and walks forward, Lachlan comes out of the ground on Farah's right and rugby tackles her, the chain guns dissipate as they follow her, they scrape across the ground as Lachlan grabs Farah around the waist with his darkness and throws the 5'4ft girl some 6 meters away toward Walker, she lands upright and casts pure plasma energy at Lachlan "Celseas!" Walker raises a thick layer of vines between the 2 and the spectators, the beam travels from Farah's chest as she aims downward to Lachlan, Celseas cuts through the vines like a hot knife through butter, Lachlan casts a defensive move "Wall of Dusk!" a black transparent deformed cobble wall covers not only Lachlan but the spectators as well, the vines recede back into the ground, he yells out "OI, YOU NEARLY HIT THE REST OF THE CLASS!!" Farah yells back with a wide grin on her face "SO WHAT?!" vines coil around Farah's legs pulling her backwards off balance, they lock her legs, arms and torso to the ground, Walker walks up to Farah "well that wasn't very ethical of you, cease fire or i expel you" Farah's grin having turned into a mad face disappears and Celseas ceases, the vines recede back into the ground "good," Walker walks toward Lachlan "your suspended Farah"
At the end of the day, Jaiden, Sofia, Havoc, Connor and Lloyd meet up at the bus stop and chat about their day before the buses arrived, Jaiden goes on about how cool Sofia was during her mock battle
"Sofia was awesome! she was dodging every attack and ability that came her way and outsmarted the other guy, she waved her hands around and made her opponent come to her and gave him one quick blow to his stomach, she made him yack on the ground, ooh ooh, and the way Mr. Walker incapacitated the girl with the plasma element" his eyes widen in excitement "he was so cool!" Havoc buts in "i want the plasma element, its raw power and destructive capabilities deem it a high threat to all elements, its a common winner in the elemental tournaments" Connor asks Jaiden a question "you said walker incapacitated a girl" Jaiden looks up at Connor who is standing opposite to him in the group "why did he do that??" Sofia answers him "her names Farah, she shot at us whilst fighting her opponent" Connor buts in "did Farah's plasma cut down her opponent?" the buses come into view "no, Lachlan and his dark element" Connor perks up "created a barrier called Wall of Dusk, it blocked Celseas but before that, Walker created a shield of vines but Celseas cut through it like it wasn't there to begin with, I've never seen such effortless destruction from anyone in this school" everyone pauses while Connor seems to be entranced "...its kinda scary" Sofia adds on in a faintly shaken voice, Havoc on her side steps closer to her, touching shoulders, Lloyd stares at Havoc "what?" Lloyd speaks "i got my eye on you"
Jaiden, Sofia and Lloyd hop on the bus and they start leaving, they watch Havoc and Connor start walking the opposite direction.
Several stops later and the 3 of them get off, Jaiden split up from the siblings waving goodbye as he starts walking off, he walks down the street taking a right and walks to home.
Jaiden opens the front door "I'm home Mum!" dishes can be heard crashing away "Hi Jaiden! how was school?, Jaiden walks to his room "It was good! Had a new subject today!" he puts his bag on the ground by the door "Oh? And what's that?" he walks up to the counter attached to the kitchen, mum is washing the dishes "it was element training, i was able to intentionally summon my first set of vines" Mum puts a plate on the drying rack "lil' man, your not summoning them, your creating them" Jaiden buts in "but our science teacher said we summon them?" "No honey, they teach you that the terminology is summoning them but that's not to say its the correct term, you create them, that's why they disobey the laws of science" Jaiden thinks about it for a moment... "so when you summon-" Mum cuts him off "create" "create... your light..." Jaiden thinks some more... "oh" he chuckles to himself "that makes elements more powerful then i first imagined"
Jaiden walks into the lounge room and turns the TV on, he grabs a bag labeled 'braces' he opens it and grabs a small tool, he smiles bearing his teeth and starts adjusting his braces, he puts the tool and bag back "I'm gonna play some Wii Mum" She acknowledges him "ok baby, you have any homework?" Jaiden replies "no mum, first day today remember" he kneels down and turns the Wii on, he stands back up and looks at the pictures that litter the white walls of the lounge room, most of them are old antiques from before the 1900's, hand crafted in the 4 different countries excluding Silexia, some here and there are of Jaiden and his Mother, one is signed "Property of Delia Parker" the picture contains a girl much like Jaiden's mum, long brunette hair with white hair tips, her eyes closed with a wide smile.
another picture just to the right of the previous one of Delia catches Jaiden attention, its him, young and healthy in Delia's arms, birthday decorations scatter the same lounge room that Jaiden stands in in the picture, its signed "My beautiful boy, Jaiden Parker, turned 4 today" Jaiden smiles.
