Jameson's POV
I'm getting ready for the first day in court, my nerves on edge but my resolve firm. I promised Bella I would fight for her, and I'm determined to keep that promise. Ever since that night I knocked her down with my car, my life hasn't remained the same. She managed to slip in not just in my mind, centering most of my thoughts. But in my life as well.
"Bella Vanderblib. What have you done to me?" I whisper into the air.
Even the way her name rolls around my tongue sends shivers down my spine. I shut my eyes and the image of the way she had smiled at me before we kissed at the hospital flashed in my mind. I lick my lips slowly, hoping to have a little taste of her again.
It has been days since we shared that kiss but it still feels like we just finished having it a few seconds ago.
