Chapter 8 - chapter 8

The day had been a whirlwind of introductions and tests, but there was one person I was particularly curious about Izuku Midoriya. The boy with the messy green hair has my attention during the entrance exam. However, today had been so packed that I hadn't gotten the chance. I decided I'd make an effort to talk to him tomorrow. The next morning, I arrived at U.A. with renewed determination. I entered the classroom and scanned the room, spotting Midoriya at his desk, engrossed in a notebook. Gathering my courage, I walked over and tapped him on the shoulder.

He looked up, slightly startled. "Oh, hi,you're Akari, right? The girl with the teleportation and light manipulation quirks."

I nodded, smiling. "Yeah, that's me. And you're Izuku Midoriya, right? I heard of what you did during the entrance exam. You were pretty amazing out there."

Midoriya blushed slightly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Thanks, but I still have a lot to learn. Your quirks are really impressive. Teleportation and light manipulation must be really versatile."

"Thanks," I replied. "I wanted to talk to you because you seem like someone who thinks a lot about how to use their quirk effectively. Plus, you took down a Zero-Pointer too. That's incredible!"

He looked a bit embarrassed but pleased. "I was just doing my best. I still can't believe I managed it."

Before we could continue, our homeroom teacher, Aizawa-sensei, walked in. "Alright, everyone, settle down. Let's begin."

The morning classes flew by, and I found myself looking forward to lunch, where I could continue my conversation with Midoriya. When the lunch bell finally rang, I made my way to the cafeteria and spotted Midoriya sitting with Ochaco and Iida.

Taking a deep breath, I approached their table. "Mind if I join you guys?" I asked, holding my tray.

Ochaco smiled brightly. "Of course, Akari! Sit with us."

As I took my seat, Iida greeted me with his usual formality. "Good afternoon, Akari. It's nice to see you."

I nodded in return, then turned to Midoriya. "So, Midoriya, I wanted to ask you more about your quirk. It seems really powerful, but also... like it has a lot of potential drawbacks."

Midoriya looked thoughtful, then nodded. "Yeah, you're right. It's a bit complicated, but I'm learning to control it better each day. What about you? How do you manage your teleportation and light manipulation quirks?"

I explained the basics of how my quirks worked, mentioning the temporary disorientation from teleportation and the potential temporary blindness from overusing my light manipulation. "It's all about finding the right balance and knowing when to push my limits," I concluded.

Midoriya's eyes lit up with interest. "That's really smart. It sounds like you've put a lot of thought into it. Maybe we could train together sometime, help each other out?"

The idea of training with Midoriya was exciting. "I'd love that," I replied, smiling. "We could definitely learn a lot from each other."

As we continued to chat, I felt a growing sense of camaraderie. Despite our different quirks and backgrounds, we all shared the same goal: to become the best heroes we could be. And with friends like these, I knew I was on the right path.

As the system opens up, freezing time around me, I'm presented with three intriguing options for my next upgrade. Here are the choices:

Enhanced Teleportation: This upgrade would further boost the efficiency and range of my teleportation quirk, allowing me to teleport longer distances with even greater precision. It could also reduce the cooldown time between teleports, giving me more flexibility in combat situations and rescue missions.

Advanced Light Manipulation: With this upgrade, my light manipulation quirk would become even more versatile and powerful. I could create more complex illusions, manipulate light on a larger scale, and potentially develop new techniques to blind or disorient opponents with even greater effectiveness.

Dual Quirk Integration: This upgrade would focus on enhancing the synergy between my two quirks, allowing me to combine their abilities in new and innovative ways. I could create light portals to enhance my teleportation, or use teleportation to reposition light sources for strategic advantage. This option could unlock a whole new level of versatility and creativity in my hero abilities.

Each option presents exciting possibilities, and I'll need to consider carefully before making my decision. I think I'll go with this one
