Roja was deeply shocked by Garp's demonstration of power. Although he already knew that Armament Haki was an incredibly powerful force when cultivated to its peak, he never expected Garp's demonstration to be so overwhelming.
As Roja stood there stunned, a familiar notification sounded in his mind:
[The host has been stimulated by the Armamment Haki and Observation Haki demonstrated by the legendary naval hero Garp!]
[Observation Haki and Armament Haki have been deeply motivated to train harder!]
[Ding! Congratulations to the host! The automatic training speed of Observation Haki and Armament Haki has increased twofold!]
[Current automatic training speed: twelve times!]
Hearing the system's prompt, Roja's heart swelled with joy.
"So that's how it works! External emotional stimulation can accelerate the automatic training of my mastered skills! This is incredible," Roja thought, feeling as though he had unlocked a new layer of his potential.
Amidst his excitement, Roja took a moment to feel the strength of the two types of Haki within him. The tenfold increase from the day before had already brought about significant improvement, and now, with the twelvefold training speed, his confidence soared.
"Vice Admiral Garp, you are truly incredible!" Roja said, giving Garp an earnest thumbs up.
Garp let out a hearty laugh at the compliment. "Hahahaha! You're flattering me! That was just a demonstration. I didn't want to go all out and cause too much trouble, or that old coot Sengoku would chew me out again."
Roja took a deep breath. "If a single punch that leveled a mountain is just a demonstration, how strong is Garp when he's serious?" he wondered, his respect for the legendary hero deepening.
Without wasting any more time, Garp moved on to the purpose of their training. Since Roja had already mastered the basics of Observation Haki and Armament Haki, Garp's focus shifted to teaching him how to apply these abilities in actual combat.
Over the next few days, Garp dedicated himself to training Roja intensively. With the automatic training system enhancing his progress and Garp's experienced guidance, Roja's strength increased rapidly. Garp also integrated the two types of Haki into the Navy's Six Form Styles, ensuring that Roja developed a versatile combat style.
To further hone Roja's skills, Garp arranged sparring sessions with several powerful marines. To everyone's surprise, Roja emerged victorious each time, thanks to his extraordinary growth rate and relentless determination.
"Roya, you truly have exceptional talent," Garp remarked after witnessing Roja's progress. "In just a few days, you've reached a level that takes most people years to achieve. Now, it's time for you to decide on your primary fighting style."
Garp listed the options: pure physical combat, like his own style; mastering swordsmanship; or seeking out a Devil Fruit to gain additional powers. Although Garp clearly preferred Roja to follow in his footsteps, Roya had his own plans.
"Vice Admiral Garp, I've thought it through. I want to choose swordsmanship as my primary fighting style," Roja declared confidently.
Garp nodded thoughtfully. "Swordsmanship, huh? That reminds me of an old friend," he said, his tone momentarily nostalgic.
"Who is this old friend?" Roja asked curiously.
Garp waved the question away with a chuckle. "It's nothing important. Your choice is solid. With your mastery of the Six Styles and your natural talent for Haki, swordsmanship will complement your abilities well. I'm not a swordsmanship expert, but I know the basics and have fought many top swordsmen in my time. I'll teach you the fundamentals, and later, I'll arrange for someone more skilled in swordsmanship to guide you."
"Thank you, Vice Admiral Garp," Roja said gratefully.
With that, Garp retrieved two swords and began teaching Roja the basics of swordsmanship. While he admitted he wasn't a master swordsman, Garp's vast battle experience made him a formidable instructor.
Under Garp's guidance, Roja quickly picked up the foundational techniques of swordsmanship. His rapid improvement was a testament to his natural aptitude and the support of his automatic training system.
By the end of the week, Roja had not only improved his mastery of Observation and Armament Haki but also laid a solid foundation in swordsmanship. Garp couldn't hide his satisfaction.
"You've made remarkable progress, Roja. Keep this up, and you'll surpass even my expectations," Garp said with a proud grin.
Roja smiled. "Thank you, Vice Admiral Garp. I won't let you down."
