The village was silent, everyone was looking at the same thing. An Orc stood in the middle of their village, beating up the bandits who had attacked their village. What a sad irony, an orc that they had originally driven away was now saving them from bandit attacks.
After confirming that Skarr would not rise again Gorr walked towards Julia.
"It's done, right? Now I want to ask for my reward."
This was an action that Barsmith taught Gorr, in the human world if you help someone or a village you deserve a reward. Julia and the villagers were worried about what Gorr would ask for. Women? Food? Gold? They had no idea. This was the first time they had been asked for a reward by someone from the Orc race.
Julia ventured to ask Gorr
"What kind of reward do you want?"
"I just came out of the forest, I don't know any information about this world. Give me information I ask for it in return"
"Alright I understand, I agree to the request"
Gorr put his axe on his back as a sign that he was ready to continue his journey. While Julia was inviting Gorr to give the information she requested, a child from the village pulled Gorr's pants.
"Sir, are you going to leave right away?"
Gorr turned his head towards the boy, he was very surprised to see a human who was again different. But with its smaller size than other humans, Gorr realized that the one in front of him was a child of the human race. Gorr knelt down and held the child's head.
"I am no longer welcome here, if I stay longer the villagers will feel disturbed".
The villagers were silent as they heard Gorr's answer to the child's question. While everyone was silent, a man shouted at Gorr.
"You can't just leave! Look what you've done to my house, you have to take responsibility!"
Gorr and the rest of the villagers immediately turned their eyes to the man. On the other hand the man was in the middle of a big gamble, if Gorr took offense he would be dead right now. But he did this because he wanted to entertain Gorr who had saved his village.
"But if I'm not around, you won't be able to enjoy your home anymore, right?"
Gorr's question made the atmosphere tense, all the villagers felt that after this they would be destroyed. At that tense moment another man from the crowd said
"You can defeat him without using a slash that collapses the house"
"Yes, that's right" All the villagers agreed with him.
Gorr began to feel annoyed with the behavior of the villagers, but the little boy next to him pulled Gorr's pants and asked Gorr to look down. Gorr lowered his head, the little boy whispered something to Gorr.
Gorr looked surprised to hear the boy's words, soon Gorr smiled and said.
"I see, I'll stay and help fix your house."
All the villagers cheered with the decision made by Gorr, Gorr also carried the little boy on his shoulders because he asked for it. On the other hand, Julia approached her grandfather.
"Grandpa, are you okay? I saw you being tortured, did you suffer any serious injuries?"
"It's okay, I only have a small injury. By the way you seem to have found something interesting"
"That's so, I was also surprised after seeing it"
The two of them looked at Gorr who was surrounded by the village children, they asked to sit on Gorr's shoulders.
The hot afternoon was now turning into evening, Gorr had done his first task which was to Ground the house that he had cut into two. It took a while for Gorr to clean up the mess he had made. The villagers gave Gorr drinks and fruits while he rested.
In the afternoon, the villagers were preparing to make a dinner dish, they prepared a large cauldron that was placed in the center of the village. Gorr only looked at the villagers who were working, he was not allowed to get closer because it was feared that he would destroy the large cauldron that was prepared. While Gorr was watching the activity, Julia came to Gorr.
"You see, tonight we're going to have a celebration."
"Celebration? Don't humans eat like that?"
Julia was surprised by Gorr's question. Gorr only knew how humans ate from Barsmith who always did what the villagers were currently doing.
"No, they would normally eat alone at home, but since we managed to preserve our crops and survived the bandit invasion, we have this celebration."
"It's that so?"
"That's right, thank you Gorr because of you we can do this celebration"
"Don't worry, I just remember my village".
Gorr's gaze did not move from the villagers, he recalled the condition of his village before the incident happened. Arcxtala Village was exactly as he saw it now, very warm, joy radiated from their faces. In the middle of his reverie Gorr said
"What a beautiful village"
Hearing the words of Gorr, Julia was surprised, an orc who was famous for being violent and barbaric turned out to have a soft side to him.
"You're right, that's how this village is. Ursu Village is a small village that is always shrouded in happiness"
Julia answered Gorr's words with relief. When she first saw Gorr, Julia felt very scared. She remembered the legend that Orcs like to attack humans they see violently, then Orcs will eat the human if it is a man, and will be raped if it is a woman. But the Orc in front of her was very different he was warm and loving, it made Julia begin to accept that the legend was wrong.
Julia left to help the villagers, while Gorr was still dreamily watching them. The night came, the celebration in Ursu village now began, everyone laughed and danced with each other. An expert musician played a song from his instrument to accompany the celebration.
Gorr enjoyed the party by sitting next to Julia's grandfather, in the midst of the cheering Julia's grandfather asked Gorr
"Is this your first time seeing a celebration?"
"No, in my village there was also a celebration"
"Oh yes, what kind of celebration did the Orcs have?"
"A celebration of changing leaders, but on the same day a human came and burned my friends"
They both fell silent, a hush fell amidst the roar of celebration.
"I apologize on behalf of the humans"
"No need, while in the Forbidden Forest I met a human who helped me"
"Oh yeah?"
Furthermore, Gorr told about Barsmith to Julia's grandfather, Gorr was very enthusiastic when telling the old man. While Gorr was telling the story, many of the villagers gave food to Gorr, Gorr tasted the food and seemed to really like it. It was a very precious atmosphere for Gorr, once again he felt a warmth.
Julia's grandfather asked permission to take a rest , now it was Julia's turn to accompany Gorr at the party, Gorr noticed someone playing a musical instrument.
"Hey Julia, what is that? How does that thing make such a beautiful sound, does he use mana?"
"Hahahaha no you idiot, it's called a musical instrument you don't need mana to play it, but you need a good technique to produce a beautiful atmosphere".
Gorr only listened to Julia until she said that the object did not use mana, the rest of the time Gorr enjoyed the musician's game. Occasionally Gorr tasted the dishes and he seemed to really like it
"Human cuisine is indeed very delicious, is this the result of your gardening?"
"Wow, you know gardening?"
"My teacher in the forbidden forrest also gardens, from there he creates a delicious dish"
"You're right, garden produce is the best"
"But unfortunately there is no meat"
Julia was silent at Gorr's words, she felt very guilty for not being able to serve meat to the savior of her village. Julia bent her body in sorrow, Gorr who realized this immediately fell into a panic.
"Don't think too much about it, this dish is already very good you know"
"I'm sorry, the creatures in the forest are too strong, we can't hunt, all the young men who have hunting skills were brought to the capital because of the need to fight."
Gorr was silent because he understood Julia's situation, a village that couldn't even survive a bandit attack would be very difficult to fight against creatures like Basor and so on. Amidst Julia's cries, Gorr said.
"Calm down, I will make you eat meat every day."
Hearing Gorr's words, Julia stopped crying. She looked at Gorr and smiled, in her smile she said
"Promise?"
Gorr was happy to have made Julia feel better, she accepted the promise and they both went back to enjoy the celebration.
The celebration was over and the villagers slept in their homes, while Gorr slept in a hut owned by the village. A precious day for Gorr and the villagers of Ursu.
