Chereads / Journey Of The Last Orc / Chapter 4 - Training Or Bullying

Chapter 4 - Training Or Bullying

The morning atmosphere in the forbidden forest is like no other, the birds singing, the wind blowing the leaves and the groans of the basors gathering. Amidst the soul-soothing sounds came the sound of orcs moaning loudly from the forest. It turned out to be Gorr who was starting his training. Gorr lifted a large stone as a form of muscle strengthening owned by Gorr.

"Come on, for the Orcs, a stone of this size will not make you difficult".

Barsmith began to lecture Gorr who began to have difficulty in lifting the stone.

"100!!!, Barsmith, I have lifted it 100 times as you said".

Gorr lifted the stone which made the ground around them shook, the stone lifted by Gorr was very large, as big as the house Barsmith lived in. Barsmith suddenly threw Gorr using a log that he took from one of the trees.

Although it was only a branch, the throw was so strong that it was able to punch a hole in the rock that Gorr had lifted. Gorr managed to dodge, he was really surprised how a tree branch could have such destructive power, if he was just a little late his body would definitely be perforated.

"Woaaaah, what the hell give me time to rest asshole"

Gorr protested what the barsmith was doing, on the other hand the barsmith only smiled and then took the stick he had prepared earlier. Barsmith pointed the stick at Gorr while saying.

"Yesterday after fighting the tigress you ran out of stamina, it made your concentration decrease when fighting Gourmeth. Thankfully the one that attacked you that time was my pet if it was another beast you would have died, so let's practice your fighting skills when your stamina is depleted."

 "Wa-wait...."

Without letting Gorr finish his sentence, Barsmith attacked Gorr armed with the stick he was carrying. Barsmith attacked Gorr with incredible speed that left the young orc in pain. Gorr tried to counterattack by trying to grab Barsmith's hands or body. Barsmith easily evaded all of Gorr's attempts to catch him.

"Want to catch me frontally? Your attacks are very easy to read Gorr, if it's just like this you will die the moment you leave this forest."

Continuing to ask Gorr to focus Barsmith attacked Gorr relentlessly, he also avoided all of Gorr's fists and attempts to grab him. Until finally Gorr managed to grasp, the stick used for the barsmith.

"You also get ready to sleep Barsmith"

Gorr said while holding the barsmith's stick tightly. But Gorr's joy did not last long. Barmith quickly removed his hand from the stick, he jumped and hit Gorr's neck with his Chop attack. The attack made Gorr fall unconscious, at the end of his consciousness Gorr admired the attack launched by Barsmith.

Gorr opened his eyes to see Barmith looking at the forest conditions and feeding the birds using the fruits and seeds he had collected. Barmith realized that Gorr had regained consciousness and threw one of the fruits to Gorr.

"Did you sleep well? You've been unconscious for a long time."

"Your attack was so painful it made me dizzy and unable to move before I fainted, and now my body hurts all over. How do you have that much ability?"

Gorr answered the barsmith while holding his neck, the barsmith left the birds and walked towards Gorr.

"That's because I can read the situation, while you just aim your attacks here and there aimlessly which makes it very easy to avoid".

Barsmith told Gorr to listen to his explanation. He explained that Gorr who was an orc had strength far above human physical strength, but with such strength did not necessarily make Gorr will succeed in winning a fight and also did not guarantee Gorr could not be injured.

Barsmith continued his explanation, he said that there was no point in having an attack with great destructive power if the attack was easy to avoid by his opponent, it would only make Gorr's opponent have the opportunity to counterattack.

Gorr listened to the barsmith's explanation as he realized that he was still lacking in technique. He only fought with his strength and physical endurance. He was too hasty to attack blindly and make his opponent counterattack which could be dangerous for him. Gorr then asked the barsmith.

"Then what do we do now?"

"Your condition is bad, for now let's wait for Gourmeth to bring the result of his hunt".

Barsmith continued his activities, feeding the birds and small animals there. While Gorr reflected on the events he experienced today, he imagined what if he hadn't met the barsmith who wanted to train him.

He probably would have gone out and been killed because his fighting skills were still very minimal. A few moments passed and Gourmeth was seen carrying Basor, he bit the Basor's tail and dragged it towards the Barsmith. Barsmith was very happy he praised Gourmeth, this scene was very strange in Gorr's eyes, where a Wolfrung who was known to be ferocious became like a pet dog when with Barsmith.

But after recalling the battle between him and Barsmith the strangeness in Gorr was erased, for him in this forest there was not a single creature that could fight against Barsmith.

Barsmith stood up and invited Gorr to prepare a fire because the sun would sink, signaling that night would arrive. Hearing Barsmith's words Gorr was very surprised, because if this was the afternoon then he had been unconscious for a whole day.

"HAAAAAA, so I've been unconscious all day long you bastard Barsmithh"

Gorr vented his anger by punching the boulder he used for training this morning.

The night had arrived they enjoyed the meat of the basor that was caught by Gourmeth with gusto, in the midst of enjoying the meat Gorr asked Barsmith.

"So what training are you going to give me tomorrow?"

"I will try to calm your condition, fighting using anger with your current technique is not a good choice".

"How will you calm me down?"

 "Tomorrow you will know."

Gorr was very curious about what the barmith would do tomorrow. After finishing dinner. They decided to sleep. The atmosphere of the night was the same as usual, the cold temperature pierced the skin of the dark night making the creatures there fall asleep making the atmosphere of the forest quiet. But in the midst of the silence, a movement was heard heading towards the barmith residence. Gorr woke up due to feeling a vibration on the ground he was resting on. When Gorr opened his eyes he saw Barsmith looking at the shining moon.

"So it's you, why aren't you sleeping yet?"

Barsmith was surprised that Gorr woke up so suddenly.

"Well the moon is very beautiful, reminds me of a tragedy in the past".

After saying this, Barsmith's face became strange, his eyes were blank, not long after he told Gorr to go back to sleep. From the depths of the forest there was a shadow watching Barsmith and Gorr, the figure looked at the necklace left by Gorr's father that he always wore. In the silence of the night, the shadow said

"KHIKHIKHIKHIKHI"
