Chapter 32 - Chapter 28: Chalu’s Journey (4)

[The Kingdom of Beastfolk Called Atlas]

Two weeks flew by since Chalu and his friends trained hard with Gori and the rest of the community. In the heart of the Beastfolk's Kingdom, inside the grand halls of Atlas, King Regulus the 5th called for a big meeting with his closest advisors.

The first vassal to arrive was Lee, hailing from the tiger tribe. Renowned for his unparalleled martial arts prowess, Lee was held in high regard among the Beastfolk. His unique abilities were rumored to be among the best, second only to the king himself. Tales of his valor in the frontline against the Eldoans further solidified his reputation.

Next came Jom, representing the elephant tribe. His strength was said to surpass even that of Lee's, and whispers spoke of his extraordinary ability to make people float. As one of the generals who bravely faced the Eldoans head-on, Jom had earned his place as a vassal of King Regulus.

Falo, from the Eagle Tribe, was the third vassal to enter the hall. Known for her swift thinking and unparalleled ability to see over great distances, Falo's skills were invaluable to the kingdom. Her mastery of camouflage further enhanced her value, making her an indispensable asset to the king and his council.

Grizz, of the bear clan, followed shortly after. With his brute strength and aggressive nature, Grizz was a formidable force on the battlefield. Like Lee and Jom, he had fought at the frontline against the Eldoans, his unique abilities granting him a fearsome presence in combat.

Finally, Kenjo, representing the turtle clan, arrived. Renowned for his unmatched swordsmanship, Kenjo was revered throughout the kingdom. His legendary ability to cut through anything was a testament to his strength and skill, making him a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.

As the vassals gathered before King Regulus, it was clear that each brought their own unique strengths and abilities to the table, ready to serve their king and protect the Kingdom of Beastfolk from any threat that may arise.

As the meeting commenced, King Regulus addressed his vassals with a solemn expression. "My esteemed vassals, we gather here today to discuss a matter of great importance. A chimpanzee by the name of Chalu has emerged, spreading teachings of unity and introducing a mysterious power known as 'aura.'

Turning to his esteemed vassals, King Regulus inquired, "What do you think of these thoughts?"

Falo spoke first, her voice carrying weight in the hall. "Your majesty, I have observed Chalu, but I have not approached him directly. Many from my tribe have learned from him and his mysterious aura technique. I believe that if we understand this technique, we could have an advantage against the Eldoans."

Lee, renowned for his martial prowess, agreed with Falo. "I concur, your majesty. Though I am unfamiliar with this Chalu, if the aura technique can be learned by all, it could indeed turn the tide in our favor."

Jom, representing the elephant tribe, interjected, "But Chalu preaches unity among all beastfolk. He seeks to unite us with other tribes. This is what I have gathered from my people's investigations."

Grizz, known for his aggressive nature, voiced his dissent. "Then we should put an end to this Chalu and his unity nonsense!"

Kenjo, with his characteristic calmness, rebuked Grizz. "Silence, Grizz. We do not harm innocent beastfolk, especially if they could benefit us in some way."

Grizz, his massive form tense with frustration, glared angrily at Kenjo. "You always find a way to undermine me huh?" he growled, his voice a low rumble that seemed to shake the very walls of the hall.

Then Falo proposed an alternative approach. "Perhaps we could change Chalu's perspective. He is young and may not fully understand the complexities of our world. If we educate him about the atrocities committed by the Eldoans, his views might change."

As Falo's words hung in the air, a murmur of agreement and skepticism swept through the vassals gathered in the hall. Their expressions ranged from contemplative to doubtful, reflecting the weight of the discussion at hand.

King Regulus, sensing the need to restore order, raised his voice. "Silence," he commanded, his gaze sweeping across the room before settling on Falo.

The king's question cut through the tension like a knife. "I heard about his power coming from Jesus. Is that true, Falo?" he inquired, his tone grave with significance.

Falo, maintaining her usual composure, nodded in agreement. . "Yes, my lord," she replied. "While secretly watching Chalu, I heard him talking about Jesus and how Jesus wants to bring everyone together."

Lee, known for his insightful nature, expressed doubt. "If this is indeed true, , it suggests that Chalu's power comes from a divine source. Yet, it seems improbable. Weren't we taught that Jesus favored the Eldoans?"

Falo's voice broke the silence, her words heavy with the acknowledgment of their troubled past. "We cannot claim to know the mind of a divine entity." she explained, her tone serious. But it's believed that Jesus favored the Eldoans because they were the first to awaken consciousness in this world.."

Her gaze shifted across the room, meeting the eyes of each vassal in turn. "We, on the other hand," she continued, "were born from the chaos of the calamity known as Evil Aurathos. Our emergence into consciousness was marked by strife and suffering, and it is this very origin that has fueled the Eldoans' animosity towards us."

As Falo's words settled in the room like a heavy mist, the vassals nodded in quiet understanding, grappling with the weight of their shared history. But amidst the silent contemplation, Jom's voice broke through with a question that echoed the doubts of many.

Jom's voice carried a mix of frustration and urgency as he voiced the collective concern lingering in the minds of the vassals. "Why now?" he questioned, his tone heavy with the weight of their shared history. "If Jesus truly granted Chalu and our tribe this aura, why has it manifested only now? Why not a thousand years earlier, when countless of our kin suffered and perished? Imagine the battles we could have turned in our favor if we had wielded such power in those dire times."

Jom's words struck a chord with everyone present, evoking strong feelings of sadness and regret. He made them think about the past and wonder why this aura had only appeared now. Why hadn't it come sooner, when they were struggling and losing so many of their own? His question left them questioning their place in the world, unsure of why things had unfolded the way they had.

Then His inquiry sparked a flurry of murmurs and contemplation among the assembled vassals. Each one grappled with the weight of the revelation and its implications for their people. They exchanged glances filled with uncertainty, grappling with the complexity of the situation.

King Regulus, sensing the need to restore order to the discussion, raised his hand once more. "Enough," he declared, his voice carrying authority. "I have made my decision: I will meet with Chalu privately."

The vassals exchanged looks, their heads filled with questions and concerns. Despite their uncertainty, they had to agree with the king's decision. His authority was undeniable, leaving them little room to object.

....

Meanwhile

[In the Country Of Eldoans called Magux Kingdom ]

In the heart of the Magux Kingdom, King Rex Sugan, a direct descendant of Cain, the first son of Adam and Eve, convened a meeting with his vassals. The air was tense with anticipation as each vassal, renowned for their unique abilities and storied lineages, took their places around the grand table.

King Sugan, a figure of immense authority and wisdom, began the proceedings with a commanding presence. "So, all of you are here," he stated, his voice echoing through the hall.

The first vassal, Rowena Lomius, stood tall and imposing. At 42 years old, Rowena was a direct descendant of Belz Lomius, the legendary mother of magic. Her affinity for magic, rated at a formidable four, made her the strongest mage in the kingdom, even surpassing the king in sheer magical prowess. A master of the 7th tier circle of magic, Rowena's power was unparalleled, making her a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield and within the council. Her practical approach to conflict was ruthless; her family motto was to eliminate the Beastfolk without hesitation. The blood ties between the Lomius and Sugan families only strengthened their alliance and resolve.

Next was Jono Spera, also 42 years old, embodying the essence of hope and adventure. A direct descendant of one of the great heroes, Jono, his affinity for magic, rated at three, was slightly weaker than Rowena's. Despite this, Jono had achieved mastery of the 7th tier circle of magic, though his prowess was still overshadowed by Rowena's. Jono's adventurous spirit and desire for peace set him apart from the other Eldoans. He harbored a deep kindness and a longing to avoid bloodshed, yet his duty to protect the people of Eldoans was paramount, often placing him in difficult positions.

The third vassal, Colerio Sapher, was also 42 years old and known for his enigmatic nature. Despite his position as a vassal, Colerio's true passion lay in teaching magic theory. He approached life with a nonchalant attitude, caring little for politics as long as he could impart his knowledge. Rumors whispered of his potential power matching Rowena's, but without concrete evidence, these claims remained speculative.

Marvus Borne, the fourth vassal, brought a different kind of strength to the table. At 50 years old, Marvus was a seasoned strategist renowned for his tactical genius against the Beastfolk. Despite his magical abilities only reaching the 5th tier, Marvus's intellect and strategic mind were unparalleled. His prowess as a strategist had led the kingdom to numerous victories against Beastfolk, his tactics instrumental in navigating the complex dynamics of warfare. Moreover, Marvus also served as the principal at the School of Magic, where he imparted his strategic wisdom to the next generation of mages.

Finally, there was Emery Blaze, a 42-year-old woman with a temper as fierce as her flames. The Blaze family was renowned for their affinity with fire, and Emery was no exception. Her mastery of fire magic, capable of turning flames purple, surpassed even Rowena's fire abilities. Emery's intense focus on fire magic made her a formidable opponent, her tier reaching the impressive 7th circle. With her fiery determination and formidable powers, she was a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield, striking fear into the hearts of any who dared to oppose her.

[Remember the wisdom of Bruce Lee's words: "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."]

As the meeting unfolded, each vassal brought their unique perspectives and abilities to the table, contributing to the collective wisdom of the council.

Then King Rex Sugan addressed his vassals with a grave expression, his voice resonating through the grand hall. "What's the situation on the front line?" he inquired, his tone demanding clarity and precision.

Rowena Lomius, the formidable mage and direct descendant of Belz Lomius, responded with unwavering confidence. "Your Majesty, it's still the same. The beastfolk are no match for our prowess," she reported, her voice carrying the weight of her lineage's ruthless determination.

King Rex nodded approvingly. "Good, good," he muttered, satisfaction evident in his eyes.

However, Jono Spera, known for his compassionate heart and adventurous spirit, broke the uneasy calm. "Your Majesty, with all due respect, can we just have peace with the beastfolk tribe?" he asked tentatively.

King Rex's eyes narrowed as he fixed his gaze on Jono. "What did you say?" he demanded, his voice low and dangerous.

Jono hesitated but pressed on. "Um, you know, I don't want this conflict to continue endlessly."

Rowena erupted, her voice a harsh reprimand. "Enough, Jono! You are an Eldoan. Remember, those beasts killed our people!" She cast a fierce glance around the room, her words echoing the teachings of Belz Lomius. "Remember the teachings of Belz—we won't show mercy to those evil creatures!"

Marvus Borne, the strategic mind of the group, sighed and nodded in agreement. "I agree with Rowena," he said, turning his attention to Jono. "Look, Jono, I know you want peace, but those mindless beasts don't even understand what peace means."

Emery Blaze, her temper as fiery as her magic, chimed in vehemently. "Yeah, that's why we have to burn them down—purge every single one of them!"

Colerio Sapher stayed quiet, watching the heated discussion with a calm, indifferent look. His thoughts were hidden, and he didn't show any emotions.

Jono tried to protest. "But—"

King Rex cut him off sharply. "Enough of your nonsense, Jono. I'm letting this slide only out of respect for you," he warned, his patience clearly wearing thin. "We cannot make peace with those monsters. They killed our loved ones, our people. As a king of Eldoans, I will not tolerate it!"

The room fell into a tense silence, the weight of King Rex's words hanging heavily in the air. The vassals, each in their own way, grappled with the harsh reality of their ongoing conflict with the beastfolk.
