According to Grey's knowledge, "Nanobots," as far as science fiction was concerned, were a multipurpose cutting-edge technology that acted and transformed itself based on the program of its maker.
Nanobots are tiny machines or robots that operate at the nanoscale.
It possessed the capability of reconstruction up to the molecular level, which at this very moment was happening in Grey's inexplicable eyes.
Grey at least once wondered during the short time that he had reincarnated in this world as something unidentifiable that if his inherent skills were the product of his own biology as an alien race. On the other hand, only the [DNA Modification] was the Alien Skill he was notified of obtaining.
Maybe it was because of his Societal Status known as Anon Scientist, whatever that implied. Even then, witnessing the process with his very eyes was something breathtaking.
[Alien Skill: Beyond Sense has been triggered.]
[Beyond Sense]
Alien Skill Description: [Allows the unidentified alien race to operate one's senses at an augmented or spiritual level; it resonates with any alien-related skills that involve existence, albeit partially.]
[Alien Skill: Beyond Sense resonates with DNA Modification.]
[The host of the experiment will now be able to operate through the subject's soul.]
At that moment, Princess Quintella's unconscious body seemed to experience an out-of-body experience or Astral Projection as her soul overlapped on her battered body, which was crystal clear in Grey's eyes.
In the next moment, several hands protruded from his exoskeleton back with bare skin as he initiated the operation for the [Body Reconstruction] as another prompt from Extraterrestrial System caught his attention.
[Alien Archive releases the alien material, "Nanobots."]
What happened next was that Grey sensed something on his chest, like a small door of infinity that could not be seen by mere naked eyes. Greyish-like tiny robots began crawling out of his body, which traveled from the illusory door on his chest towards the soul that had an uncanny resemblance to Princess Quintella.
Ding!
Multiple system screens appeared left and right as he swiftly and diligently read everything that would help the abandoned Princess to survive, at the very least.
[You have found the strands of H-DNA-7, would you like a portion of Nanobots to change its entire structure?]
From that moment on, something snapped within Grey's mind... that this world would never operate the same way he used to, and that the familiarity he had with science fiction novels in regards to this thing or that would be expected to be distorted.
'I don't know what that is, so just focus on Body Reconstruction first.' Grey inwardly muttered, his multiple skeleton-like hands automatically moved on their own as though he already knew what to do.
[The B-DNA-0 has already been modified.]
[Body Reconstruction has been successful.]
'Huh? That fast? I didn't even notice it. I just let my hands do their wonders on this poor soul. But I'm glad she's already healed.' Grey thought as he instinctively looked at Princess Quintella's body, where the supposedly gaping hole from Magic Missile from her very beloved yet a bastard uncle was nowhere to be found.
'Anyway. Tell me more. It seems you have recommendations.'
[Some of the Nanobots in the subject's body have produced a tranquilizing effect.]
'Hey, be honest with me. What the fuck is that? A tranquilizing effect? Wait! Can you tell me how many tiny robots entered this little one's body?'
[According to the recommended Nanobots quantity, the subject of the experiment now possesses half the amount of a human body's total cells, estimated to be around 20 trillion multipurpose Nanobots.]
'That's... I guess that matches half of the human body's total number of cells, estimately so. Anyway. Now, tell me about the tranquilizing effect.' Grey was curious.
[It is a measure taken to prevent the subject of the experiment from waking up amidst the recommendations after the initial modifications. Nanobots, which are yet to settle in one's DNA can be remotely controlled through Alien Archive's Core.]
'Wait, I don't get shit. Okay? But can you please stop acting on your own? I feel like you'll be the death of me. First of all, I don't want to be a slave of the system, whatever this situation is. All right?' Grey felt a sense of apprehension upon realizing the subtle decision-making of the Extraterrestrial System on its own.
His reincarnation and everything in his life at this very moment were still a pile of mysteries to be explored, but first, he had to move forward.
[You are not a slave. I am.]
'You're scaring me. I prefer you being AI-like, but I guess a somewhat sentient demeanor isn't that bad at all. Sigh, all in all, continue with the recommendation.
'If I am your master, and you know I am fucking clueless right now with everything, then lend me your help.
'Start with the basics before you continue with the recommendation on what to do with this little one.'
[Yes... Master.]

The Extraterrestrial System only informed Grey about the most important thing he possessed, which was the Alien Archive.
Its characteristics were similar to that of an infinite library with a boundless number of books, which was categorized into several dimensions.
These categories were divided into three: [1] Material Dimension, where everything like the alien material, Nanobots, were safely stored; [2] Operational Dimension, which surprised Grey as the system told him that it was similar to a cube-like home where some manual functions of the system exist; however, [3] Devourer Dimension was what surprised him the most...
It was like wherever he set foot into, and whomever Grey met, either dead or alive, every piece of knowledge surrounding that subject would be automatically stored in this Alien Archive's section.
This was the reason why... as he ran through littered dead bodies on this battlefield in search of Princess Quintella, the Extraterrestrial System already adapted to this world's standards.
'I can't believe it. It's like if I touch a dead body, the Alien Archive will instantly record the dead's entire history... Anyway. Filter it. Delete every data that's not necessary.'
[Yes, Master.]
[Unnecessary data stored in the Alien Archive will be deleted...]
After some time, Grey then opened his mouth to speak, "Walk me through it."

[Recommended Gene Editing Category for the subject of the experiment.]
[] Soul Core H+ (H-DNA-7)
[] Soul Core CA+ (CA-DNA-14)
[] Soul Core M+ (M-DNA-2)
[] Soul Core OF± (OF-DNA-665)
[] Soul Core P± (P±DNA-16)
'Holy... hell? System, I'm pretty sure Nanobots aren't the right materials for this one, right? I mean, is there even a material for this?' Grey's eyes frantically checked the different system screens and read the five recommendations that would certainly change Princess Quintella's fate.
[Soul Core H+ (H-DNA-7)]
Alien Archive Description: [A type of DNA according to this world's standards that signifies the capability of someone to gain or utilize Holy Power. It will remain dormant if the Soul Core is Dark; however, through an Anon Scientist specialized in editing one's existence, ethically so, the existence of Holy Power will be able to coexist and harmonize with Darkness.]
On the other hand, the other DNAs like Soul Core CA+ meant Cultivation Age, which would make Princess Quintella age faster than a normal human. But Grey suddenly refrained from the idea of modifying this DNA as a thought struck him,
'She's a pitiful gal, I won't take her childhood away unless permission has been granted after she wakes up.'
On a different note, what caught Grey the most was the Soul Core P± (P±DNA-16). It signified the standard paths that this world had to offer.
And considering the possibilities in front of him, Grey pondered, 'Why do I feel like this world's power system is a mix of crap here and there?'
He then read thoroughly what was presented to him.
[Soul Core P± (P±DNA-16)]
Alien Archive Description: [This DNA makes up for the largest portion of the person's Soul Core, and by tampering with it skillfully and ethically, the Anon Scientist can decide the path the subject of the experiment shall take.]
[List of Paths available according to this world's standards and the subject's Soul Core.]
[] Witch—Dark Bearer
[] Magus—Arcane Bearer
[] Mutant—Chaos Bearer
[] Necromancer—Death Bearer
[] Demon—Evil Bearer
'I see. That's a lot. Sigh. Why do I feel like my existence belongs to the Mutant category? Anyway. I'll have to ask this little one first what path she wants to take. On the other hand, let's go with Mental Fortitude and Oriforce gene editing.'
Hearing the host's desire, the Extraterrestrial System asked,
[Would you like to begin DNA Modification?]
'Yes, let's get this over with.' Grey muttered.
[Alien Skill: DNA Modification has been activated.]
[Choose a Gene Editing Category.]
'Soul Core M+, mental power stability. If her body can regenerate through Nanobots, it doesn't mean her mental state can.'
[You have chosen Mental Fortitude Fortification.]
[Alien Skill: Beyond Sense resonates with DNA Modification.]
At that moment, Grey's alien eyes and numerous hands that protruded from his back automatically moved frantically yet artistically.
[Recommended alien material for DNA Modification: Anon Soul Fragment.]
'Whatever it is, as long as it's safe for the child, go for it.'
With his command and desire, the Alien Archive: Material Dimension opened. Grey then witnessed a greyish-purple shard released from his exoskeleton chest. Soon after, this shard began melting as it integrated itself with Princess Quintella's Soul Core—an emanating dark sphere that seemed to be the soul's heart.
The unbothered process continued for some time as a series of system messages entered Grey's ears.
[DNA Modification successful.]
[Mental Fortitude Fortification has been successfully imprinted in the subject's Soul Core.]
[The subject's mental state will not easily falter in the face of great adversary!]
[DNA Modification successful.]
[Oriforce Soul Vacuum has been successfully imprinted in the subject's Soul Core.]
[The subject's Soul Core will absorb Oriforce more efficiently.]
During the process of DNA Modification, as Grey could surprisingly multitask, he learned that this so-called Oriforce was something akin to Mana. However, it's what powers the Soul Core and possesses a different nature depending on the core's color. This was the essence of life of a being, whether of humans or monsters in this magical yet chaotic world.
All in all, among the system notifications, Grey heaved a sigh of relief.
[First Extraterrestrial Mission has been successful.]
[Your First Subject's fate has been tied to your existence.]
[You have obtained, "Flying Disc Core."]
[Build your spacecraft to navigate the world and abduct more subjects!]
Grey found it hilarious that the thought of dying for the second time left his mind.
'Spacecraft in a magical world? Why the hell not?'
