Misty took a look at my outfit. "Nice costume. I love the style." I didn't thank her, but only because I was focused on something else. "You don't think I look like a villain?" "I mean, you kinda do, but hey, it's your style! I don't have anything against it." Meanwhile, Misty was wearing a blood red crop that stopped just below her bra, having no fabric to cover the shoulders but still having sleeves, and under it, she was wearing some sort of tight, black shirt that also worked as her pants. There were two diamond cuts on each of her legs with fabric going down the middle, showing off her thighs. She also wore golden gloves, and red boots, which I thinked look cool. Her hair had been tamed into a ponytail atop her head. We had been walking as we talked, scouting the city as well. "Now, I'm only going to say this. There are a few people we have to look out for. Give me your number and I'll send you the pictures." I did as she asked, and saw two villains, one man and one woman. The man had hot pink hair, ocean eyes, and Latino skin. The woman, on the other hand, had a mane of white hair, dark skin, and green eyes. She also had two, brown lion ears on her head, and a tail barely visible behind her. The pictures only showed faces. "Names?" I asked, looking around again. "The male is Zin, and the woman, oddly enough, is Taurus. Zin has the power to make whoever he thinks of die with a single snap of his fingers. And Taurus, as shown, can shapeshift into any animal she wants, or obtain features of them on her human body." "Zin is obviously more dangerous than her. But his power wouldn't be too big of a deal." "Oh? How so?" "Well, for one, he needs to think of someone he knows, doesn't he? And, for two, since he's a villain, I doubt he knows many people other than his family. It's a possibility, of course, but I still doubt it." "Good looks and a sharp brain. Your going to need that in this world." Before I could reply, I felt something bump my leg, and I instantly looked down. Wait-it was a male toddler, no older than four. His blonde hair was messy, and he looked so terrified, clutching onto my leg. I crouched, and held him, because I wanted to comfort him. "Hey, kid, what's wrong?" Misty placed a hand on my shoulder. "Skeleton Queen." I looked up-and saw Taurus, but with gray, wolf ears, and a gray wolf's tail. Her eyes narrowed. Shit! What do I do? Well, she'd be a strong opponent, but I don't know her IQ. That means she could be a real mastermind or a complete diot. The boy whispered so softly, I almost didn't hear him. "Help me...please..." The terror in his voice broke my heart. I held him a little tighter but made sure he wasn't being suffocated or crushed. I also looked up at Misty, and she looked down at me. Her eyes seemed to say, We can't save him right now. There are civilians nearby, and we can't risk getting them injured, or taken hostage. We'll find him later. I tried to tell her that we probably wouldn't ever see him again, and that we could take this inside. I wasn't letting this kid go back to that villain. I knew what it was like to be tortured. To be traumatized. "Can I have my son back, miss?" I stood, and held the kid on my hip, scowling. "No, you can't." Before anyone could act, I controlled her bones, and made sure she stayed still. "Bloodrush, call 911. She's not going anywhere." "No, don't. She'll escape and she'll come after you-" The boy started, but I cut him off. "Hey, it's ok. She's going to the most secure prison there is. You'll be safe. She won't escape."
