As the spikes rose, I ran up, and jumped off of them to. By the time they stopped, I perching on top of one, analyzing Connor carefully. I wanted to try and predict his next move. He stared back at me. "Pity. I was hoping to catch you off-guard." I scoffed. "No, you weren't. With everything you've said, you've basically confessed your crush on me. You'd kill yourself if I had been impaled." His cheeks turned the slightest shade of red. "Whatever helps you sleep at night." I scowled, and gripped my daggers, but waited. Gathering my strength. Then, I dove off, and landed on my feet, charging at him. He chuckled, and I could tell he thought he had this in the bag, by his expression. But I had plan B ready. I slashed at him, and he dodged, just like I predicted. "Here's something I've noticed about you: Your cocky." I told him, before I turned as fast as I could, hitting the hilt of my dagger on his pressure points quickly, and he was on the ground in a flash. "And that is your weaknessl." I placed my shoe on his back, and leaned downward to whisper, "I win." But he just laughed. "You did a good job, Shelby. But there's one more thing." I raised an eyebrow at him, still gripping my daggers. "I'm not the only villain in this city."
