On the way to the office, there was a smile on Cheng Wei's face.
Even though he pretended to not notice it, Cheng Wei realised that his wife was trying to tease him with that little show she had with her dress.
He had never seen Xiao Mei wearing anything like that before, and despite how much she was threatening him that she would go out just like that no one knew better than him, what kind of taste Xiao Mei has in dresses.
She likes to dress elegantly, admiring her mother's principles to wear only those dresses that enhance her beauty not to show vulgarity. Although the dress she wore was in no way vulgar, Cheng Wei knew it was still too much for Xiao Mei.
Once he reached the office, his secretary was waiting for him near the entrance along with two other staff members.
His natural persona returned as Cheng Wei exited the car and buttoned his blazer—he picked another one since the one he chose in the morning was now in Xiao Mei's possession—and heard them saying,
"Good morning, sir."
Cheng Wei nodded and walked inside the building. Through the lined-up employees who greeted him with a bow, Cheng Wei made his way to the elevator while listening to his schedule.
"You have a meeting with the HR department at eleven, followed by a lunch appointment with the Patriarch of the Yu family."
The old man from the Yu family is the friend of Cheng Wei's father and a man who seldom leaves home these days.
Naturally, Cheng Wei planned on meeting the man whom he regarded as his uncle.
Once they entered the elevator and only the two of them remained, Cheng Wei coldly asked, "Did you find him?"
The secretary fixed his glasses before diligently responding, "We have captured him, sir. Waiting for further commands."
Cheng Wei remained silent for a few seconds before saying, "Keep him under restraints for now."
It all depends on Xiao Mei what she wants to do with Wang Lin now.

After changing her clothes into less provocative ones, Xiao Mei went to the kitchen.
The familiar face of Aunt Huang appeared in the kitchen, and the way she was standing, it seemed she was scolding the young maids.
"Ah, Madam!" The lady exclaimed seeing Xiao Mei here before she approached her.
Xiao Mei raised her brows and asked in surprise, "Is something wrong?"
The older one shook her head with an awkward smile, "They just needed to know where they should wander and where they shouldn't."
Xiao Mei's eyes widened before she asked the other two maids, "So you two were there when I and Mr. Cheng were..."
The two little ones ducked their heads and glanced at each other.
Xiao Mei awkwardly smiled...she knew someone was there when she was flirting with Cheng Wei, she just didn't pay attention to it since it was her who suddenly decided to chase her husband.
"You two can go, and next time when Mr. Cheng is in the house, don't wander around my room unless I ask you to." Xiao Mei couldn't believe that she was saying it, however, considering today's incident might repeat...and things might elevate, she has to be cautious.
"Madam need not worry herself. I will personally teach them a lesson they will never forget!"
The two maids' faces turned pale before they hurriedly walked away.
Xiao Mei sighed as she heard the older maid asking, "Did you need something, Madam?"
Xiao Mei suddenly remembered what she had come here and asked, "Umm...does Mr. Cheng brought his lunch to work?"
Huang Li shook her head slowly, "Never...although I cannot be sure but it seems Sir doesn't have lunch often."
That caused Xiao Mei to frown slightly. Not having at least three meals could be unhealthy.
Although Cheng Wei was a busy man he should take care of his meals properly
"Aunt Huang, can you prepare three sets of meals?"
The older one was confused why the Madam asked for three but she smilingly nodded and went to work.
Xiao Mei decided to stand nearby and ask some of the things.
"Aunt Huang, you used to work at the family house in Hangzhou right?"
The older one nodded, "Ah, yes. Until a year ago, I used to work there."
Xiao Mei curiously asked, "What about your family? Did they come to Shanghai as well?"
"No, no. My son and daughter-in-law live in America and my husband passed away seven years ago in an accident."
"Ah, I am so sorry." Xiao Mei was now regretting making her remember all of that.
The older lady just waved off her worries, "It's okay, Madam."
After a brief pause and while admiring Aunt Huang's culinary skills, the younger one asked,
"Can I ask you about Mr. Cheng's parents?"
The lady was surprised; this was the first time for the young Madam to ask about her in-law, and that made her quite elated.
With a smile, she told her about them briefly.
Xiao Mei found that the two elders lived alone as of now, as a few years ago Cheng Wei's sister got married. As for Cheng Wei then, after he graduated from Business School, he started taking care of the company, so he mostly remained roaming around the world.
"Madam loves gardening; that's why all their houses have quite the greenery around. So during holidays, Madam can indulge in her hobbies."
Xiao Mei smiled; fortunately, she had some knowledge of plants.
Having a common interest with the mother-in-law was quite useful, given she had to get along with Cheng Wei's parents as soon as she could.
Xiao Mei wanted to ask more...however, the question she had in mind would be better if she asked Cheng Wei.
Although the Aunt is a good person, if Xiao Mei asks too much, it would look like she doesn't have a good relationship with her husband.
'Not good...must look like a happy couple...' Not only that, Xiao Mei has decided to become a good couple with Cheng Wei as well.
Soon, the lunch was prepared, and Xiao Mei took it with her after packing it safely.
As she reached the entrance, she received a call from Cheng Wei
A smile bloomed on her face as she picked it up and said,
"Yes?"
[Are you still at home?]
His voice over the phone sounded a little domineering—maybe because they seldom talked on a call, which made her monetarily flinch.
But she responded softly, "Leaving. Going to the hospital."
There was a brief pause from the other side before the man said,
[I will go with you, wait for me.]
Xiao Mei was surprised, "You don't need to force yourself. I can manage myself."
[You don't want to go with me?]
"..." Forget it; she will surprise him some other time.
After a monetary pause, she said, "Waiting for you."
