"What about Erik Lawman?" Peter whispered, his voice filled with concern.
Isaac's voice cut through the hushed whispers. "Well, what happened in the night was caused by one of the young warriors in this class. Her name is Lyra."
Murmurs rippled through the classroom as students tried to piece together the puzzle. Aiden scanned the room, searching for Daniel. When he couldn't find him, he shrugged, a careless expression on his face. "Was the injury that bad? He deserved it anyway," he muttered, a hint of arrogance in his voice.
"She unlocked what we call a divine technique," Isaac said, his voice carrying through the room. He scanned the class, noting the confusion etched on most faces. Even Peter seemed lost in thought.
Rhea remained impassive, her expression revealing nothing. Pelia touched her chin thoughtfully, as if trying to recall a distant memory.
"A divine technique is when an evolved one has a deep understanding of his or her abilities. Unlocking a divine technique requires intense training and unexpected situations in battles. Well, that is what we all thought. Until Lyra did the impossible," Isaac said, his voice filled with wonder and a touch of awe.
"I see," Aiden thought to himself, a shiver running down his spine. "But she couldn't control herself. If not for Isaac, I don't know what might happen to me."
"A divine technique is a rare and powerful ability that only a few possess," Isaac explained, sensing the confusion in the room. "It's like unlocking a hidden potential within oneself, allowing you to perform extraordinary feats."
He paused, letting his words sink in. "Lyra here has shown an incredible aptitude for this, but it's important to remember that everyone's path is different. Your journey is just beginning, and with hard work and determination, you can achieve great things."
Aiden and Peter nodded in agreement.
"So, I will be taking over this time around," Isaac announced, his voice booming through the classroom. "Erik Lawman is out on a very important mission. From now on, classes will be held in the training hall. Is that understood?"
A chorus of "Yes, sir!" filled the room as the students scrambled to gather their belongings.
The students piled into the training hall, a buzz of excitement filling the air. Everyone was eager to push their limits and break personal records.
Peter began an exaggerated stretching routine, his movements so dramatic that Aiden couldn't help but cringe. "Pelia was right," Aiden muttered under his breath, shaking his head.
The training hall was a hive of activity as students stretched, warmed up, and prepared for the day's challenges. Peter's exaggerated warm-up routine to draw amused glances. Aiden had to pretend that he doesn't know him.
"Well then, today each of you will have a specific type of training," Isaac announced, his voice carrying over the excited chatter. "Remember, everyone has different paths. This training will help you discover your strengths and weaknesses."
Intrigue and anticipation filled the air as the students listened intently.
"Now, there are two types of training today: strength and speed," Isaac announced, his voice carrying over the excited chatter. "Each one of you must choose a type that best suits your abilities."
He opened a large book, its pages filled with names. "James Flare," he called out, his voice clear and commanding. "Rhea Ironheart," he continued, reading from the book. "Erwin Rommel..." The list of names went on, each student's attention focused on their own name.
"The students eagerly scanned the list of names. Some looked confident, while others seemed apprehensive. Aiden glanced at Peter, who was already stretching his body in preparation for the speed training.
"Aiden heyes," Isaac called out, his voice cutting through the noise. Aiden stepped forward, his mind racing. He considered his options. Strength was important, but speed could also be a valuable asset."What should I do?" Aiden muttered to himself, uncertainty creeping into his voice.
A voice, filled with arrogance, cut through his thoughts. "Ehm, excuse me, sir, but he has no abilities. Why waste your time on someone like him?"
Isaac's gaze turned cold as he fixed the arrogant student with a stern look. The boy quickly averted his eyes, his face flushing with embarrassment.
"Which type of training do you think is suited for you, Aiden?" Isaac asked, his voice returning to its usual calm tone
"Aiden's mind raced as he tried to make a decision. The murmurs of the other students grew louder, adding to the pressure he felt. He remembered his previous encounter with Lyra, how he had managed to dodge her attacks despite not being able to fully control his abilities. That, coupled with the ongoing issue of activating his powers at will, made the decision clear.
'Speed,' he replied firmly, his voice steady.
Isaac nodded, a hint of approval in his eyes. 'Go to the right,' he instructed.
The students who had chosen strength headed to the left side of the training hall, while those who, like Aiden, had opted for speed, moved to the right.
The training hall was mostly for combat, specifically used for warriors and mages. Unless healers had what it took to fight, then instructors could train each one of them.
"For those who've chosen strength, you will focus on physical exertion and endurance training," Isaac announced, his voice carrying over the excited chatter. "For those who've opted for speed, you will begin with agility and reaction tests."
A sense of anticipation filled the room as the students prepared themselves. Aiden joined the speed training group, his mind already strategizing.
The training grounds were where the real fun began. Warriors honed their bodies through intense training, pushing their limits to become stronger, faster, and more skilled.
The young warriors poured into the training grounds, their energy palpable. Lyra, Peter, Pelia, Rhea and Aiden joined the speed training group, their eyes filled with anticipation. Daniel, on the other hand, moved towards the strength training area.
"Now, let's begin," Isaac announced, his voice cutting through the excited chatter.
Suddenly, thirty wooden dummies erupted from the ground, startling everyone. A collective gasp swept through the training grounds as the students braced themselves for the challenge ahead.
