Ultimate Zombie Bonanza, Bimbolicious Babes Against the Apocalypse 2. It was the start of a franchise, or so all of entertainment media was proclaiming. Theo wasn't so sure. He saw the first one three years ago, before he even came to campus, and wasn't that impressed.
It wasn't like he was against seeing beautiful scantily clad women fighting zombies while fire tornadoes engulfed the background, but the entire plot just didn't make any sense. The heavy use of special effects was also daunting. The movie clearly wanted to create a new world heavily inspired by the vampire's fortress monasteries of the past, using early paintings and recorded history for emphasis, but there was also a lot of felinid inspiration. Nearly half the cast were wolfkin, with a couple of harpy girls and a buff dragonkin girl among the cast. The main star was Mona Dominique, a felinid beauty with a scrappy tail and long cat-like ears. Her face was feminine, sharp, and hard to ignore; her bosoms were soft and supple; as Craig would say, they were mouth watering sex mounds. Her skin appeared smooth, but like all felinids, there was a thin coat of peach colored fur along her arms and legs.
Many idolized her, but Theo was more impressed with the succubus co-star, Delphia Shyoris. The woman was, in many ways, the opposite of what many would describe as the perfect succubus. She was shorter than her co-star, rather skinny, and had pale pink skin. Her dark hair was trimmed into a pixie cut, and she always wore a latex bodysuit alongside the main heroine.
The likeness of Delphia was almost uncanny, although Theo wasn't one to lie to himself. Her tail wasn't nearly as long as Lorelei's, and her eyes were a different color. Her face though… Theo couldn't help but imagine that's what Lorelei might have looked like.
Craig was a die-hard enthusiast of the Zombie Bonanza series, having collected the previous series
'Zombie Bonanza, Babes against Death', and 'Zombie Bonanza, Hotties Wage War'. He even had a life-sized body pillow of the leading lamia lady from Babes against Death, and slept with it every night.
Agreeing to see the newest movie seemed like a no-brainer, although Theo would've rather spend all night playing video games instead. The two of them quickly got sorted, before heading to the theater.
Built in the corner of campus, it was originally a gymnasium, one that had suffered from the an early collapse of dome debris. That had happened several years ago, and was part of the reason why the dome was never finished. The building was rebuilt, albeit smaller, once the remnants of the dome was stabilized. A new gymnasium was constructed on the other side of campus, and the area in front of the new theater was made into a small vineyard for 'cultural' reasons. The water fountain was a nice touch, along with the chess board seating area with its granite tables, and a metallic tarp was draped over the building and its surroundings to shield it from the rain.
Theo was surprised by the number of fellow students who were already there. Like before, he could've sworn that someone was watching him, he kept looking over his shoulder, and only once did he catch the faintest wisp of an arrow pointed tail. He froze, looked around, but couldn't find the succubus the tail belonged too. There were several in the crowd… But none of them he recognized. A few of them noticed him looking at them and flashed him interesting smiles.
He turned away, sighed, and caught up to his roommate. Once they were inside, they split up; Craig would go grab concessions, while he acquired the tickets. Theo had to wait in line for several minutes before finally reaching the front counter, the woman manning the booth looked exhausted. She had unbuttoned her blouse, and her cleavage was slick with sweat.
It was easy to see the girl had some lamia in her genes. The way she moved, with those wide hips, and long slender legs, was far too graceful for a simple human. There was a flexibility that just didn't suit her human frame. Her feet seemed to glide off the floor as she moved around, while her wavy dark hair looked like it was floating off her shoulders. The woman's eyes were narrow, her gaze piercing, as she looked at Theo with a dreadful beauty.
Maybe she got it from her father? Or grandfather? Theo thought to himself. She must've had a human mother, otherwise she certainly would've had a serpentine lower body. Mixed breeds always inherited most their traits from the mother when it came to these sorts of things. There were fewer and fewer 'pure-blooded' humans being born every day.
"How many ticketss?" The way the seller stretched the 's' in her sentences only confirmed Theo's suspicion. That and her pristine accent. Theo couldn't help but wonder whether the woman's tongue was thinner, or maybe even forked? You could never tell with mixed-breeds. He almost voiced his thoughts out loud.
"Two please?" Theo looked back at the line behind him, it went all the way to the doors. He also got a good look at the concession line; his roommate was almost at the counter.
"Ok, that'll be thirty sseedss pleasse." The teller seemed irritated. She was now loosening the tie around her neck. She was sipping on a drink in between each customer, and judging by how her legs were fidgeting, she had been standing there for some time now.
Theo sighed to himself. He had three hundred Royal Syni in his private account, a couple thousand Dyulings in a treasury somewhere, and a private stash of Voxsturm Silver, courtesy of his mother, locked away. Copper seeds were better known as commoners' coins, they were tiny morsels barely worth the copper they were minted with. They were widely accepted on campus, and the vast majority of districts, but Theo hated carrying them around. They always weighed down his pockets, carrying enough of them to actually buy anything. There was a time when paper bills were the standard, but the rain and wind shredded them so easily, most had come to prefer more durable currencies instead.
He withdrew the small bag of coins from his belt, and handed it to her. He brought enough to cover the movie and more, he just hoped Craig wasn't grabbing too many snacks. Craig rarely carried enough coin with him, often relying on Theo to cover his expenses.
The teller took his money, quickly counted the seeds, and returned a couple coins as change.
Tickets and coins in hand, now all he had to do was grab Craig.
Theo turned around, and completely assumed that Craig would have a tub of popcorn, and sodas in hand. Instead, Theo found him stuck under the counter of the concession booth, seemingly trying to help a girl out…
