Captain Marvel threw her energy beam at the blue Kree. He retaliated with a purple ball of energy of his own, colliding with the Captain's in a brilliant display of power. The resulting explosion was intense, destroying everything nearby. The civilians around the area had already evacuated, but some died in that chaos.
Carol charged in. Her body was glowing brightly with golden energy.
The blue Kree flew upward to dodge the Captain's charge. The Captain followed suit, chasing the Kree. Their battle was fierce and destructive, with each attack unleashing the force of a bomb. Now, I don't know how to fly and don't have any weapons. How do kick their asses? My eyes fell on the debris scattered around me. I picked up a metal rod with a chunk of metal attached on the other end.
Carol fired a barrage of photon blasts. The Kree countered with a barrage of his own. The attacks exploded on impact, creating shockwaves that knocked down buildings around the area. The blue guy kicked her down to the ground.
Bang! A massive crater formed where she landed. Huh?! Is she bleeding? Why? Her super regeneration ability should prevent her from getting hurt that easily. Oh shit! There are a bunch of nanomachines eating through her flesh. That's why her super regeneration ain't working. I can see those thousands of near-invisible nanites thanks to my focus.
The blue Kree flew down with a smirk. "How does it feel to be so helpless as your power slowly fades away? Painful? But that anger in your eyes... I like it. Show me more of that hatred!" He landed a few steps away from Carol.
Carol struggled to stand, but her limbs wouldn't respond. Her eyes were filled with rage. She tried to absorb the nearby energy, but her right arm busted instantly unable to stabilize the energy absorption.
"Surprised, are we?" The Kree smirked. "Those nanites are specially made for you. They are sentient beings that we painstakingly created. I call it Necro-Mites. They eat away your cells and block your powers. And you'll die a painful death. The more you struggle, the faster they'll spread. So, give up."
"You're... Gonna... Pay... For this..." Carol coughed out blood and glared at the Kree.
"Such a pity," The Kree dashed in so fast that anyone would think, he just blinked across the distance. The next moment, Carol was sent flying past me. She crashed into the building behind with a loud bang. He began to walk toward her. This time he didn't fly or dash... This blue fucker just walked past me without even looking at me.
Is he underestimating me? Or he doesn't consider me a threat? Nice, show me your back. I'll make sure to smash him up pretty well like a mashed potato.
I swung the metal rod with all my strength, aiming for his head.
Crack! The sound of bone breaking echoed as the metal rod smashed into the blue Kree's skull. The impact felt like I hit a solid metal wall, vibrations ran up my arm and I nearly dropped the makeshift weapon.
The Kree's head snapped to the side. His body froze as he fell to his knees. Did I... Kill him? No, no time to think. Gotta kill him fast. I smashed and smashed over and over again again, smashing that blue head till it caved in. Crack! Crack! Crunch! Splat! I kept swinging the metal rod till blue blood splattered around me and the metal rod broke in half.
He was lying on the ground, in his own pulp, but I gotta make sure he remains dead. I don't know if he has advanced nanites that can bring him back. So, I will put enough damage, over and over again, faster than his healing ability could keep up with. I stabbed him with the metal rod, puncturing through his chest several times, turning his heart into a mush and even pulling out the broken ribs to stab him multiple times. Then continued to beat him up.
Crater formed under my feet as I used 100% of my strength repeatedly. Boom! Boom! Boom! The ground cracked and shattered. Shockwaves swept over the place. I don't know what's happening around me, but I made sure to turn him into a gooey pulpy puddle.
Phew! I threw the rod away, satisfied with my work. [Pant... Pant...] That took more stamina than I expected.
I spit on the bloody mess. "You shouldn't have fought in here. How dare you blue fuck face hurt my girl and make her cry."
"That... Was... Impressive..." Carol walked out of the building, dragging her right leg. She was grabbing her bleeding right arm.
I walked up to her and threw a hard punch at her face, sending her flying backward. With my focus at its apex point, I could see her in slow motion. I grabbed her leg and slammed her down on the ground, creating another crater. She looked surprised for a moment, but I punched her before she could say anything.
"Why are yo-" I kicked her away as she crashed onto the nearby hover car before she could speak.
"I don't care who you are or what you are. You shouldn't have brought your fight here! Innocent people got hurt because of you. Some dead. Lisa got hurt!" I walked over to her.
I grabbed her neck and lifted her up in the air.
"Listen! I'm not... Argghhh!"
I slammed her back onto the burning car. Her bones broke, and she spat out a mouthful of blood. Then I grabbed her left leg and stomped on her knee, breaking them instantly. The crunching sound of bones crushing was so satisfying to my ears...
"AGGGGGHHH!!!" Carol screamed, her face contorted in pain.
"Shut the fuck up! This is just payback for what you did to Lisa and all those innocent people. You so-called heroes with power fight without even caring about the consequences." I kicked her away. "Look around you, the death and destruction you brought on a peaceful planet. You could have fought anywhere in space, but you just had to crash in here, huh?!"
I looked at my HP bar, still 100% full, but the silver color was fading away.
"Next time..." I grabbed her hair and looked into her eyes, "I'll kill you, regardless of your status."
The Nova Corps had already surrounded the place and their weapons were aimed at us. Ah! Crap! Now, another big ass problem to deal with.
"Drop your weapons and lie on the ground. Don't make unnecessary moves or we'll open fire," The Nova Corps pilot spoke through his jet speaker.
"What weapons? Are you blind or something?" I raised my hands up in the air. "Aren't you all waiting at a distance when I was fighting that Kree bastard? Now, you come here, trying to act over-smart?"
Carol somehow stood up. "He has nothing to do with it. Let him go."
Well, considering her status as Captain Marvel, she must have had some influence here. And I beat her up pretty well. Yet, she's letting me go?
A short well-built man flew down from one of the jets and landed before us. He removed his helmet, revealing his face. He looks human but has a pinkish skin tone and curly brown hair. "Captain Marvel, are you alright?" He walked up to Carol, checking up on her injuries. "Nanites!" He took out a syringe and slammed it on her corroded leg. Sparks of electricity burst out of the syringe as it discharged a bright light.
Carol groaned, "Arrg!"
He looked at me, "And you are?"
"Just a concerned civilian who got caught up in your so-called hero's fight. Nearly died. And she destroyed the building I wanted to buy. Well, considering I took down the enemy, I guess, some rewards are in order, right?" I maintained my serious expression.
"Very well. You'll be rewarded accordingly for taking down an S-class criminal." He waved at one of the soldiers. The jets flew back toward their base as worker class hover trucks arrived at the scene, taking care of the mess. "Give us two days to arrange an appropriate reward."
Carol stood up as the nanites fell from her body. She absorbed the nearby energy and healed up.
"Well, then. I'm sure you guys are gonna do a background check on me now. So, you'd know where I live. Send it there. See ya," I walked away.
Dang! I took down a freaking Kree that even Carol struggled to fight. Hahaha... This feels good.ย I'm freaking OP.
