Lucius sat alone in an empty room, seated cross-legged with President White, and a chessboard was placed between them. He pondered in silence for a short while before moving his knight.
"Do you think we can win?" President White asked.
"Nope." Lucius blurted out without hesitation.
President White chuckled at this seemingly appreciative of his honesty.
"Then why are you still here?" President White looked up to meet Lucius's gaze, but his eyes were fixed on the chessboard.
"Where would I go?" Lucius asked as he looked up to meet President White's gaze. "If America falls, it doesn't matter where I run to, Lei Fei can find and kill me for rejecting his offer."
President White couldn't help but nod at this response because it was reasonable, however, he felt something else was missing.
"Do you regret the decision you made?" President White asked again and Lucius gave him an annoyed glare.
