"So tell me… Why are you here?" Lucius asked with a raised eyebrow.
Lucius refused to believe Lei Fei risked coming here just for small talks. He watched Lei Fei slowly open his mouth to speak, only to shut it when he heard approaching footsteps down the corridor.
"Ooh?" Lei Fei's gaze shifted past Lucius and moved to the door.
Lucius frowned upon hearing the footsteps and turned to the door. He heard Mr. Wilson tell Lia he requested not to be disturbed. A brief silence followed before Lia agreed, asking Mr. Wilson to inform her when Lucius left the room.
Lei Fei and Lucius exchanged looks as they heard the footsteps becoming distant.
"I'm surprised you kept the girl around you." Lei Fei said while looking into Lucius's eyes.
"She has my deceased sister's name and I killed her innocent grandfather who ran an antique mask shop the night I acquired my devil mask. Taking care of her was the least I could do." Lucius responded honestly.
