Jacob stepped in front of Liam's body, his murderous gaze pinned on Dean as his body lit up and released a powerful ray of light that caused everyone to close their eyes.
Cautious, Dean shut his eyes and quickly created an energy dome around them, just in case they were attacked in the cover of the light.
The bright light lasted for almost thirty seconds before it began fading. When the light had faded, Jacob, Ethan, Tala and Liam were gone.
They escaped under the cover of the light!
"Bastards!" Solène cursed as soon as she noticed the Canadian team was gone.
Did they really abandon everyone just to escape the American team?
Were they really that scared of these four people?

Jacob finally stopped running and put Liam down, breathing heavily. His clothes were stained with Liam's blood, but he was far more concerned that someone may have followed them.
