Lucius covered his aching forehead with both hands, a look of shock on his face as he watched Nixara sit back down.
She had leaned over to give him a good knock on the head after he was done speaking. It was obvious what she was trying to do but Lucius was in denial that she would do it.
"Did you just hit me?" Lucius asked, his voice still laced with disbelief.
Nixara nodded with a stern look, the type an adult would give to a child he or she was scolding.
"Kids, always jumping to conclusions." Nixara sighed.
The low lifespan of the human race was one of its greatest flaws because with it came an unnecessary sense of urgency in humans.
Daitans had an average life span of three centuries, her grandfather lived for almost five centuries. With such lifespans, not less than fifty years is spent educating the younger generation.
