Lucius's resolve flashed before Lyxor's mind and a smile bloomed on his face.
"I can trust you will keep us safe?" Lyxor asked, his voice low but firm.
"You can trust I will win." Lucius hissed, his eyes burning with immense fighting spirit.
Lyxor's smile bloomed; the peace he felt was now greater than everything he had felt since his birth.
"Good… I'll leave the rest to you then…"
Without hesitation, Lyxor extended his clawed hand and plunged it into Lucius's chest. But it didn't stop there, Lyxor's body exploded into countless purple tendrils, impaling all parts of his body.
"Perfection meets power," Lucius murmured, his voice tinged with excitement. "Together, we'll become what neither gods nor mortals can hope to comprehend."
