Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: A Refreshing Start

Late June

Roman woke up feeling refreshed, the soft morning light peeking through the windows, illuminating his room. He left his bed, stretching his body, and yawned, feeling the satisfying crack of his joints. He ambled towards the bathroom, his footsteps quiet on the carpeted floor.

As he entered the bathroom, he caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror and couldn't help but chuckle. "Damn, you're handsome," he said with a grin, his eyes crinkling at the corners. He picked up his toothbrush and began brushing his teeth, the minty flavor invigorating his senses.

After rinsing off, Roman stepped into the shower, the warm water cascading down his body, soothing his muscles. He closed his eyes, letting the water wash away the remnants of sleep, and felt a sense of tranquility wash over him. He took his time, savoring the moment, knowing that today would be a long day.

With a sigh, he turned off the water and stepped out of the shower, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. He reached for a towel and began to dry himself off, his mind already turning to the tasks ahead. He had important calls to make, and he wanted to be sharp and focused. For now, though, he would take a few more minutes to relax, enjoying the peacefulness of the morning before diving into the fray.

As Roman willed the ring, he felt the familiar sensation of clothes materializing on his body. This time, it was a tight white shirt that accentuated his chiseled physique and black pants that fit him perfectly. He stepped outside his room, feeling confident and refreshed, and made his way downstairs.

As he walked, he was greeted by an irresistible aroma that filled the air. The scent of freshly cooked eggs and bacon wafted through the hallway, making his stomach growl with hunger.

Roman's curiosity was piqued, as he knew he and Bianca were the only ones living in the house, and his sister's culinary skills were not exactly renowned. He followed the delicious smell to the kitchen, his feet leading the way.

As he entered the kitchen, he spotted Bianca, wearing a pink apron with the playful phrase, "Is the chef hot?" emblazoned on it, standing at the stove, expertly flipping eggs and bacon in a sizzling pan. Roman's eyes widened in surprise, and he couldn't help but ask, "Bianca, what's going on? You're cooking?"

Bianca turned around, beaming with pride. "Good morning, Roman! I decided to surprise you with breakfast. I've been practicing my cooking skills, and I wanted to show off my new recipe!"

Roman chuckled, shaking his head in amusement. "Well, I'm impressed! You're definitely a morning person now and a chef, too!"

Bianca laughed, her eyes sparkling. "Hey, someone's got to take care of you, big brother!"

"Well, you're doing a great job with what you're doing. " he said as he went to sit on the coynter table.

"Thanks, Roman! I'm glad you approve," Bianca said with a smile, expertly sliding a fluffyomelete and crispy bacon onto a plate. She handed it to Roman, who dug in with gusto.

"Mmm, this is incredible! You're a natural, Bibi," Roman said, savoring the flavors.

Bianca beamed with pride, her eyes shining with happiness. "I'm so glad you like it! I've been experimenting with new recipes and ingredients. Maybe I'll even start a cooking channel or something!"

Roman chuckled, taking another bite of his breakfast. "You'd be a star, Bibi. You're always a natural at whatever you do."

As they chatted and enjoyed their meal, the kitchen was filled with the warm and cozy atmosphere of a happy morning, the delicious aromas, and flavors a testament to Bianca's newfound culinary skills.

Bianca playfully smirked, "Hey, big brother, I think I've finally surpassed you in the kitchen! My cooking skills are now unmatched, even better than yours!"

Roman raised an eyebrow, feigning offense, "Oh, is that so? I thought I was the culinary master around here!"

Bianca giggled, "Well, you were, until now! My new recipe is a game-changer. I've been practicing and perfecting my techniques. You're going to have to step up your game if you want to keep up with me!"

Roman chuckled, "Oh, it's on now! I accept the challenge, little sister. But don't get too cocky, I've still got some tricks up my sleeve!"

The friendly banter continued, with Bianca and Roman engaging in a lighthearted cooking rivalry, each trying to outdo the other in the kitchen. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and playful competition, as they enjoyed their morning together.

Roman and Bianca finished their breakfast, and as they cleared the table, Roman asked, "Hey, have you thought about which college you want to attend? You're a eighteen now. It's time to start thinking about it."

Bianca's expression turned hesitant, and she fiddled with her apron strings. "Roman, I...I don't know if I want to go to college."

Roman's eyebrows furrowed in surprise. "What do you mean? You're smart and talented. You have so much potential! Why wouldn't you want to further your education?"

Bianca's voice dropped to a whisper. "I don't want to be away from you, Roman. You're my big brother, my protector... my best friend. I can't bear the thought of leaving you behind."

Roman's face softened, touched by Bianca's words. "Aww, Bibi, I'll always be here for you, no matter where you go. And think about all the amazing experiences and opportunities college will bring you! You can't pass that up."

Bianca nodded, knowing Roman was right, but her heart still hesitated at the thought of separation. "I know, Roman...I just need some time to think about it, okay?"

Roman nodded understandingly and gave Bianca a gentle nudge. "Take all the time you need, little sister. But remember, I'll always support you, no matter what you decide."

Bianca hugged Roman tightly, declaring, "You're the best big brother ever, Roman! I'm so lucky to have you!" With a bright smile, she turned and dashed towards the stairs, her feet pounding the floor with excitement.

Roman chuckled and yelled after her, "Don't run on the stairs. You'll hurt yourself! Slow down, Bibi!" But Bianca was already halfway up, her laughter echoing through the hallway.

Roman shook his head, smiling, and followed her at a more leisurely pace. As he climbed the stairs, he called out, "Hey, what are you up to today? Do you have any plans?"

Bianca's voice echoed back, "Nope, no plans! I'm just gonna hang out and do some stuff around the house. Maybe watch a movie or read a book."

Roman reached the top of the stairs and saw Bianca rummaging through her room, searching for something. He leaned against the doorframe, watching her with a warm smile.

"You know, Bibi, you deserve a relaxing day. Enjoy your downtime, okay?"

Bianca turned, her eyes shining with happiness. "Aww, thanks, Roman! That means a lot coming from you! I love you, big brother!"

With a happy sigh, Bianca settled into her room, ready to enjoy her day of relaxation. Roman watched her with a warm heart, feeling grateful for the special bond they shared as siblings.

...

Roman walked into his office, his mind still lingering on his conversation with Bianca. He couldn't help but think about her response to college - her hesitation, her reluctance. He wondered if he was spoiling her, if she needed more independence, more friends. But as he sat down at his desk, he shrugged off the thoughts. He didn't care about what others might think; if his sister wanted something, he would get it for her. That's what big brothers did, right?

And especially now, with his business taking off, he was going to make a lot of money. He could give Bianca the world, and he would. She could chill all she wanted, travel, pursue her hobbies - whatever made her happy. He was determined to provide for her, to give her the life she deserved.

As he began to work, Roman's mind wandered back to Bianca. He thought about how she had always been content with just hanging out at home, watching movies, reading books. She wasn't like other kids her age, always partying, always socializing. And that was okay. Roman loved her for who she was, and he would support her no matter what.

He thought about his own life, how he had worked hard to get where he was. He had sacrificed a lot, but it was all worth it if it meant giving Bianca a better life. He was proud of the person she was becoming, and he knew that she would do great things in her own time.

Roman's phone buzzed, breaking him out of his thoughts. He answered, his mind refocusing on work. But in the back of his mind, he was always thinking of Bianca, wondering what she was up to, if she was happy. And he knew that no matter what, he would always be there for her, supporting her every step of the way.
