Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: overprotective brother

Roman, Bianca, and Albert, Roman's loyal butler, bid the hairdresser goodbye as they left the salon, stepping out into the bustling streets of the city.

The warm sun cast a golden glow over the crowded sidewalks, and the sound of chatter and car horns filled the air. After their recent hair transformations, they were eager to update their wardrobes to match their fresh new looks.

Roman turned to Albert and asked, "Albert, do you know a good store around here where we can find some decent clothes? I'm tired of my old wardrobe, and I'd love to get some new pieces."

Albert nodded thoughtfully, his eyes scanning the surrounding stores. "Indeed, sir, I know just the place. Follow me." He led them to a store a few blocks away, the sign above the door reading "Elegance & Style" in elegant script. Roman and Bianca exchanged a look, and Albert assured them, "Trust me, young master, this place is neither too expensive nor too cheap. The clothes here are good quality, and you'll find some known brands too."

As they entered the store, they were greeted by the friendly face of a sales attendant. "Welcome! How can I help you today?" Roman explained that they were simply looking for some new clothes, and the attendant smiled. "Well, you've come to the right place. We have a wide selection of styles and brands to choose from. Let me show you around."

The attendant led them through the racks, pointing out various sections and highlighting some of the store's best pieces. Bianca's eyes widened as she scanned the selection, her fingers trailing over the luxurious fabrics. She had always wanted to go shopping, and this store seemed like a treasure trove of fashion delights. Roman, too, was impressed, his eyes scanning the racks for the perfect pieces to add to his wardrobe. Albert stood discreetly to the side, offering the occasional opinion or suggestion when needed.

After what felt like hours of browsing, they finally made their selections. Roman had chosen a few stylish shirts and a sleek new suit, while Bianca had picked out a beautiful dress and a few trendy tops. Albert carefully carried their bags as they made their way to the checkout, exhausted but exhilarated by their shopping spree.

As they left the store, Roman turned to Bianca and grinned. "I think we did pretty well today, sis." Bianca smiled back, her eyes sparkling. "Definitely. I can't wait to wear my new dress." Albert nodded in agreement, a small smile playing on his lips. "Very good choices, young master and miss. You both look fantastic." Together, they strolled off into the sunset, their fresh new looks and stylish clothes making them feel like they could take on the world.

Bianca suggested, "Hey, let's go grab some food! I'm starving after all that shopping!" Albert offered, "Shall I take the clothes to the car, sir? You two go ahead and get some lunch." Roman nodded, "Thanks, Albert. We'll meet you back at the car."

As they walked to a nearby restaurant, the aroma of freshly cooked food filled their nostrils. "Mmm, this place smells amazing!" Bianca exclaimed, her eyes scanning the menu posted outside. Roman smiled, "I know, I've been wanting to try it out for weeks." They were seated at a cozy table by the window, and Roman got up to order their food. Bianca browsed the menu, her stomach growling with anticipation.

Just as she was deciding between the pasta and the salad, a boy, likely a few years older than Bianca, appeared at their table. "Hey, mind if I join you?" he asked, his charming smile faltering for a moment when he noticed Roman's absence. Bianca looked uncomfortable, her eyes darting towards the door where Roman had disappeared. "Uh, I think we're waiting for someone," she said politely, trying to brush him off.

But the boy didn't take the hint. He sat down anyway, launching into a flirtatious conversation that made Bianca's cheeks flush. Roman returned from ordering, his eyes scanning the table, and his expression turned cold when he saw the boy. He strode over, his presence commanding attention. "Bianca, ready to order?" he asked gruffly, his eyes never leaving the boy.

The boy, sensing Roman's disapproval, quickly excused himself, and Bianca looked up at Roman with a relieved expression. "Thanks, Roman," she whispered, "I was trying to get rid of him." Roman's expression softened, and he put a protective arm around her shoulders. "Anytime, sis. Let's just focus on our food."

As they waited for their food to arrive, Roman couldn't help but notice the boy still lingering nearby, his eyes fixed on Bianca. Roman's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with protective instincts. He knew Bianca was old enough to handle herself, but he couldn't help feeling a surge of brotherly concern.

Finally, their food arrived, and they dug in, savoring the delicious flavors. Bianca chatted enthusiastically about her shopping spree, and Roman listened attentively, his eyes never straying far from the door. The boy had finally left, but Roman was still on high alert, his protective instincts still on edge.

As they finished their meal and prepared to leave, Roman glanced around the restaurant, his eyes scanning the crowd. He spotted Albert waiting patiently by the car, and he nodded in relief. "Let's go, Bianca. Albert's waiting."

Bianca nodded, and they exited the restaurant, the cool breeze a welcome respite from the crowded dining area. Roman kept a close eye on Bianca as they walked to the car, his protective instincts still simmering just below the surface. He knew she was capable of taking care of herself, but he couldn't help feeling a surge of brotherly love and concern.

As they drove away, Bianca turned to him with a curious expression. "Roman, what's wrong? You've been acting weird since that boy came over." Roman shrugged, trying to brush it off. "Nothing, sis. Just being cautious, that's all." But Bianca knew him too well. She sensed there was more to it, but she let it drop, knowing Roman would always be there to protect her, no matter what.
