Clarissa took the worm and put it in a jar filled with poison. An energy like glow came from it's body and started absorbing the poison. She was curious at the sudden glow from it's body and how it could survive with so much poison. Clarissa handed some cultivation pills, marrow cleansing pills and qi gathering pills.
Clarissa: "this is a marrow cleansing pill you can use this pills to remove the poison from your blood streams. You can detoxify the poison on your own. Then use the qi gathering pills to fasten your cultivation and then use this cultivation pills to breakthrough to the next realm. You can enter closed door cultivation."
Sam was overwhelmed with gratitude for her help. The moment the worm was removed he felt his qi regain control and then he tried absorbing spiritual qi and he felt it moving without restrictions or pain. Sam nodded towards Clarissa as he understood her need for him to become stronger. He also wanted to become stronger for his revenge and to protect her. He stretched his hand to take the bottles of pills but someone intercepted him and took the pills.
Grandmaster Josh: "brat, what are you trying to do with those slimy hands."
Grandmaster Josh took the bottles, opened them and started perusing the pills like some precious treasures. When he heard the names of the pills he was fascinated by them. He could refine qi gathering pills but the marrow cleansing pills formula was incomplete so they usually make a concoction but it wasn't that effective. He just got the formula for the cultivation pills but he just produced some low and middle rank pills. When he saw the pills being high rank and had veins on them he put them back in the bottle and stuffed it in his ring.
Sam was experated when he saw his pills being snatched by the shameless old man. Grandmaster Josh just gave him the qi gathering pills which he did unwillingly. Sam looked helplessly at Clarissa who was looking at the antics of the old man. She knew how grandmaster Josh loved alchemy but she didn't expect him to snatch Sam's pills.
Clarissa: "grandpa those pills are for Sam's recovery."
Grandmaster Josh: "why do you care about this brat? Is it because of his face? My dear child don't be deceived by such men he isn't worthy of my precious granddaughter. Come tell grandpa where you got the pills. You even gave me the right formula and ingredients for the cultivation pills, did someone give it to you?"
Clarissa: "grandpa I was the one who refined these pills. I auctioned them today at the divine pavilion but I don't want many people knowing about this. Actually grandpa I once saved a mysterious person and he impacted me with some knowledge and that's how I was able to learn quickly about herbs. And since you taught me how to refine pills I just made them according to the memories I have. You won't be angry with me for not telling you before?"
Grandmaster Josh was curious about the mysterious person. If he shared such deep and profound knowledge with his granddaughter then if he was introduced to him then he would learn much more.
Grandmaster Josh: "of course I'm not angry I'm actually grateful to this person because this knowledge has disappeared from our world for hundreds of thousands of years. Did this mysterious person tell you how to find him?"
Clarissa knew what grandmaster Josh was thinking and she couldn't find any fault with it. She wanted to share the knowledge she had but it was going to be through her terms.
Clarissa: "no grandpa, he said that when I become stronger he'll come back for me. But if I'll be weak then he wouldn't bother with me anymore. That's why I want to become stronger so that he can find me worthy and maybe go with him. Grandpa don't you think this person comes from a powerful place?"
Grandmaster Josh: "yes I think he does. Okay, I won't say anything about you but don't tell anyone else about the inheritance he left you or where he may have come from."
Clarissa: "yes grandpa I understand."
Grandmaster Josh looked at Sam with a warning look, "brat if I hear any of this outside these walls then you'll wish for death."
Sam nodded, "I promise not to say any of this to anyone."
Clarissa took out some other bottles of pills and handed them to Sam. Sam took them and ran back to his room. Clarissa was amused at the running figure. Grandmaster Josh was infuriated by Sam's actions, was he a thief when he only took some pills refined by his precious granddaughter. Clarissa took the worm and headed back to her room. She then entered her space.
