The journey to the capital took 3days. Grandmaster Josh slowed down their speed because she was not used to the long journey. The eagle could fly thousands kilometers per hour. If it was flying on normal speed they would have arrived a day earlier. Grandmaster Josh was very pleased with Clarissa. She didn't complain about anything but was actually asking questions about many things she didn't understand.
Clarissa: "Grandpa Josh why is the world declining especially in resources and spiritual qi. I read that this was not the case a thousands years ago."
Grandmaster Josh: "this is because ten thousand years ago there happened to be a great battle between two true immortal realm cultivators. It's said that this two beings were not from our world but due to the fierce battle that went on for a long time they ended up in this world. Their energy levels laid havoc to this world and many dynasties were destroyed. After a few months both beings were severely injured stopping the fierce battle. It's said that those beings died but no one truly knows of there whereabouts. The after math of the battle was what we see today. The spiritual qi became scarce and many natural resources were destroyed. Even lots of knowledge was reduced due to the lose of mighty figures and powerhouses. "
Clarissa didn't know why this place had scarce information it turned out to be because of a battle between two formidable cultivators. She couldn't imagine the power those people had. There, she made her mind to become a powerful envisioned so that she can have the ultimate power in this world. With the pyramid planet she knew she could achieve what most couldn't.
The eagle flew into the enormous city that could be described as a country in her previous life. Large sophisticated and essentric buildings were seen all over. A large area was covered by normal structures where the mortals lived. As you went deeper into the city there was another area with more sophisticated buildings and houses. Then in the middle was the area where the powerhouses of the Phoenix dynasty were located.
Tall towers of different professions were scattered across the inner area. There were other businesses across the inner area. A college the phoenix college was also located in the inner area. Numerous mansions were build in various places and the palace was in the center of the whole city. It's magnificent story architecture was filled with nobility splendor that could captivate awe and envy of nations.
Clarissa noticed that the city was shrouded with a denser amount of spiritual qi and that there seemed to be something drawing the spiritual qi to the city. A voice suddenly told her that that was an array. This array was used to absorb spiritual qi from the surroundings make the qi in the city more denser.
Clarissa: "Grandpa Josh there seems to be something different in this city. The qi here is much denser and there seems to be something drawing all the qi here. Isn't that an array?"
Grandmaster Josh looked at Clarissa as if she was a monster. She was only at the fourth stage of qi condensation realm and was already detecting such a powerful array. He knew the difficulty in studying arrays, he still had some problems with it. But this girl was already able to detect a pseudo divine array. This array was built a hundred thousand years ago and many have been unable to tell of it's existence. He decided to talk to his old friend about her.
Grandmaster Josh: "that's a qi gathering array. Do you perhaps understand arrays?"
Clarissa shook her head, "no grandpa I don't know anything about arrays, I just saw it."
Grandmaster Josh was momentarily shocked. If those old monsters at the array tower were to hear her they would probably die from anger. One had to understand the complexity of studying arrays. If those old monsters learned of her existence they would probably fight for his granddaughter. He had to make sure they won't know of his precious disciple. A smirk was seen on his lips as he enjoyed the feeling of discoverying a genius.
