The moment Jean stepped out of the car she was hit by the cold air. She took a long a long breath before waving at Grey who just ignored her, rolled up the window and drove away.
"Bloody son of a biscuit! Even greetings are a big deal to you."
Nevertheless she went inside the changing rooms in the mall and a few minutes later a young man passed through the exit doors.
The cleaner looked at her for some seconds before looking down, "I didn't see any guy enter since I came in. Maybe he was earlier than me." He shook his head and continued with his duties.
Jean sensed the questioning gaze but she was unbothered by it. Why should she pay attention to every Tom Dick and Harry. She simply jogged towards Golf Park arena which was a few meters from here.
She was taken aback when she found everyone was present apart from Jaden who of course had more important things to do.
"Morning guys?"
"Who wakes up people in middle night to make announcements."
Of course that was Frank who was taking this issue very seriously indeed. He was not a poor anybody or totally idle person though he likes joking around and was friendly.
"Frank forgive me, I will treat you all to a meal in the coming days."
She wasn't sure about her return day so she could only promise a meal with no specific date. After getting dressed in their sports wear and getting into the mood, they all sat before computers to create accounts and log in.
They were silent when Frank suddenly hit his head, "I had forgotten about our baby girl, Austin Skye where.."
Jude cut off his words with a clap but still everyone heard the comment and looked at Skye who now had an embarrassed expression. They were having trouble holding back their laughter afraid of hurting her feelings but when Jean saw her expression she was the first one to burst out before they followed.
"Sorry Skye but your expression, hahahaha"
On the other hand Jean found it easier to laugh at her as she was a girl and felt like there was no issue laughing at her.
The most quite person in there was Seth, he just smiled silently when he saw Jude slapping Frank on his back. No one could guess what he was thinking but he was not cold and terrifying like a certain someone.
"Fella you are so gutsy since boss is not around."
At this point she suddenly recalled how she nose bled in the morning. That was definitely embarrassing, she would never recover from that. She had ignored it but it sank at that moment, did Jaden think of her as a lecherous person now? She suddenly slapped herself.
"Ouch!"
After she felt the pain, she regained her senses. "Captain, have you ran mad? Is Frank infecting you with his idiotism?'
Flex couldn't hide his thoughts and said that aloud.
It didn't take long for him to receive a punch on his back but it wasn't that painful. Which showed that Frank was aware that it was just a harmless joke.
Back at the Grey cooperation, Grey was really busy and not idle as some people.
"Boss RENSOL PUBLISHERS have contacted me concerning their latest project. They want us to change the name of black rose to red rose before it goes out to the market. This was a special request one of their executive editors made yesterday all of a sudden."
Carlos looked at Jaden seriously after he finished reporting. He could just print new script and give it out but it wasn't his place to make the decision. Unlike him, Jaden sensed something strange with this sudden request and considering the email he received in the morning.
"Something may be wrong somewhere. Carlos, there are some news that Black Lolli will make an appearance in Country N in the afternoon guess after something the military has or maybe someone in the military."
No one had ever understood her intentions clearly, because she may just pop out of somewhere and kill someone who people thought was innocent but in her eyes she had a reason. Another disadvantage was she never explained her actions nor did people know where she came from.
Carlos couldn't help but shudder, Black Lolli was a power house whose reputation had spread so far in the upper class society but this was the first time his boss was going against her. They had never had direct rivalry so far and had maintained their lanes.
Her fame was every where on the other hand for his boss' reputation it was almost none existent. But he knew that his boss was another power house.
"Boss, this is bad. The losses will be great because..."
He stopped himself when Jaden raised his hand.
"I want to meet her, if she manages to defeat me. Then she will succeed but if not..." Carlos froze at the hard tone. Boss had never had a feud with Black Lolli why would he be so hell bent on doing this.
"Yes boss, I will prepare the necessary."
"Call James and alert him."
With that, Jaden started working again, but he heard a phone vibrating. The name on the screen was glaring as it could FRANK.
"Hello."
He answered the phone calmly as he continued skimming through the documents and waited for his buddy to talk. But it was only silence that met his ear, "Strange."
He removed his phone from his ear and checked again, the call was still ongoing.
"Frank, I will hung up."
On the other hand Jean who had forcefully snatched Frank's phone and made the call was stupefied, she thought she had gotten over her fear when she spent the night at his house but it seemed she was damn wrong.
"Fella why don't you speak? Are you scared silly after stealing my phone to call your crush."
"Fuck!" Jean cursed silently as she pressed a computer mouse into his mouth. "Aaah, boss did you take my phone by any chance."
Grey who had the banter had no much change in expression, he just raised his eyebrow a little. He wasn't Frank's type who could laugh at everything but he definitely valued friendships. When he kept silent for some time, Jean found herself pressured and started stuttering.
"Actually if you don't have I wi..."
"I have it but I won't be there today so you come for it anytime. If I'm not there the secretary will hand it over."
With that she heard beeping sound.
It was already 11 o'clock and she had to pick her phone to tell her parents where she was or else they would blow up the whole city soon. She didn't mind leaving, they had done most of the things so she could leave them alone for the next hour.
They were mature people and they won't misbehave.
"Frank catch your phone. Guys I have something to tend to lets catch up later."
With that she was gone. Frank stood up from the ground miserably and joined the rest to continue with training.
"Frank you are bound to suffer in captain's hands."
Skye couldn't help but gloat. Even Jude and Flex were happy at his misery while Joe just shrugged and suddenly punched Jude.
"Dude! What's up?"
"Remember our bet? If Frank suffers today you owe me punch."
The atmosphere was playful as they teased each other but when Joe hid behind Seth, Jude gave up chasing and sat down. No one noticed anything strange.
Jude and Seth were bestfriends who went back to childhood. It was only Seth who could claim to know Jude even more than his mother. Jude seemed to be playful but Seth knew he was someone who could bite when cornered and angry. People say he doesn't have anything to fear but he himself knows he fears his friend's temper the most. Its just that he hides it well.
"Hey bro, didn't expect you to let him go?"
"Seth I thought you were a mute?" Of course that was Frank who didn't even give Jude a chance to answer a question.
Just like that they calmed down again. But Jude shook his head a little before he went back to his computer.
On the other hand after Jean stepped in Jaden's office, she was taken aback when a new script was suddenly handed to her.
"There is a change of the name black rose to red rose."
She felt as if cold air had been injected into her lungs with that information. She then thought back to her trip to country N this afternoon. Something was fishy
Jaden just looked at her silently before he pulled out her phone and threw it over even though she was looking at the script. For one reason or the other he believed she will catch which happened as expected.
She caught between her fingers and looked at Grey who had gone to his work already. How did he know I will catch it? She shrug her shoulders and took a sit without permission who knew Jaden would mind about this small things.
"Who allowed you to sit down?"
Damn! She felt like cursing but when she met his hard cold gaze, she stood up unwillingly.
Grey saw her aggrieved expression and finally felt better he even smiled slightly. It was a small action but Jean saw it.
"Smiling?"
When she tried looking again, it seemed as if it was an illusion.
"Have a seat and wipe off that coy look. Be a man."
Huh! Jean was dumbfounded before she started laughing out, this made the already strange Jaden feel the strangeness of his words. Was it that strange?
Jean who felt like digging her own grave did so, "Boss, do you have a girlfriend? Or have you ever dated?"
"Hypothetical question."
He answered as he started writing again, it was an indicator that he was busy but Jean still asked anyway she had already asked one.
"Are you interested in men?"
At this, she saw his pen stop but he then continued writing. Jean who thought she would never receive an answer for that was surprised when he heard his voice.
"Don't have the ability."
pffft!! Ahem.
She never expected this guy to be so honest. She choked on her saliva and coughed for sometime before she calmed down but her eyes were full of tears . Still they didn't fall.
Grey was really surprised at her ability but when he noticed the clear pity in her eyes his face darkened. It was clear that Fella had misunderstood him, Grey meant he was not capable of loving a guy but Jean heard he wasn't able to do it.
"Fella GET OUT NOW!!"
Jean who heard the roar sprung from the seat and ran out. She even forgot her phone and the script.
