The deafening blare of the horn ripped Lilith from the fragile world of her slumber, the piercing sound jolting her into wakefulness.
As her senses returned to the world around her, she realized the events of her dream were nothing more than a fabrication of her subconscious, her body still seated in her office chair, her head still resting upon the cool surface of her desk.
"Hey!" Laura called out for Lilith as she gently massaged her friend's shoulder. "Are you alright?"
Laura didn't hear Lilith scream, but she noticed that Lilith had woken up with a snap, almost as if she had a nightmare.
Lilith took in a deep breath, rising from the chair.
She turned around to observe her surroundings, and there she noticed that the entire workers of the art department were present, and they were all busy cleaning.
"What time is it?" Lilith inquired of Laura through sign language.
