"You… what do you mean that Miss Cassandra is your sister?" Lilith quickly inscribed in her phone notebook as she quickly showed it to Merlin.
He scoffed, shaking his head sideways. "The fact that you always pretend to be mute keeps me fascinated," Merlin murmured, turned to face his front, and began walking away.
Lilith took a deep breath as she remained motionless.
She despised the fact that Merlin was inside the company premises, and the fact that Miss Casandra was his sister was enough reason for her to flee.
"It appears he had already set me up, knowing that I would take the bait of being Miss Cassandra." Lilith pondered inside herself.
She exhaled loudly and then a sigh escaped her lips.
Turning back to the elevator, she stepped inside and pressed the lower button intending to head back home rather than falling for the scheme of Merlin.
