As lucifer entered the office he could feel a cold aura sweeping across his face.
With every step he took, a dominating pressure descended upon him. As he looked ahead he could see a man in his 50s sitting on a chair opposite to him, watching each of his movements.
It was as if the air itself was warning lucifer to kneel before the existence that commanded it. But as a son of a duke, and not only any random duke....
As the grandson of one of the strongest and most loyal man to the empire, one of the few sovereigns that lived in the mortal realms, as the heir to such a strong and prideful house he could not allow himself to bow before anyone.....
Even if that person had the power to end his life this very instant...That was the pride of Lucifer Faldia.
And with this pride he stood against the aura that tried to suppress him, and with a cold but determined look on his face, looked into the eyes of the calamity that stood before him....
"It's nice to meet you Lord Kaizer." Lucifer muttered these words with great agony, every part of his body screaming in pain and fear. But still he didn't reflect any of it in his words. He spoke each and every world with a neutral tone, as if the aura descending upon him, was nothing but a mere event for him.
He wanted to run away from this place, but his pride didn't allow him, and he stood firm waiting for the man seating opposite him to reply.
Kaizer was surprised by the resolve in the eyes of the boy, not submitting to his authority and power. He was satisfied with the result, and with a smile lifted of his aura and dispersed it.
"You are a strong lad, as expected from a Faldian. But at some times you should bow before those stronger than you to survive, to see another day and avenge for your humiliation boy!" Kaizer said with an amusing tone, filled with arrogance and an underlying threat which lucifer understood too well.
"Well if my actions might have offended you, then I apologize. But bowing to someone only because he is stronger than you, well it doesn't match with me. It's for cowards, not warriors, with due respect!" Lucifer replied in a respectful but sarcastic way.
''Tsk...As prideful as that old fool, no wonder they share the same blood." Kaizer muttered under his breath, but in a voice barely audible to lucifer.
Hearing someone insult his family didn't go too well with lucifer and he spoke in his usual cold tone "Well, I might be foolish as my grandfather, who is a sovereign, and is of course much stronger than someone here....walls have ears be careful or who knows what will happen...."
The very instant these words left lucifer's mouth, the air in the office turned colder, and lucifer could feel a tremendous killing intent directed towards him, only for a fraction of second....
But it was more than enough for him to understand in whose presence he was standing...
"Boy think before you speak. Although you will be protected in the academy, that doesn't mean you will get away with that sharp tongue of yours. Faldia may have a sovereign, but remember this academy is built by a sovereign who is as strong as your old man." Before lucifer could reply, Kaizer continued
"And the reason I have called you today was to analyze your character. Be careful out there....There are nobles you have offended in the past, and if you continue with such an arrogant attitude, then my dear boy you will be in trouble."
"Oh, for that I shall thank you Sir, but worry not I am capable to take care of myself and my family alike. And if that all is what you wanted to talk about, then I shall take my leave. I hate being late on my first day." With that lucifer left the office without giving Kaizer a second glance.
"He is strong, looks like my worries were unfounded." Saying so Kaizer engaged in his daily tasks.
**********
After leaving the office lucifer tried to calm himself.
'It's unlike me to get angry for such silly things, but hearing insults directed towards my family, this body urged me to react, to fight.
I think that the original owner of this body did really loved his family, but in his memories that I received, I haven't seen him treat them with any love or affection.
After his 10th birthday he didn't even speak much with them. Guess there are many mysteries to be solved, but firstly I need to find my class, or else the teachers would definitely black list me for coming late on the very first day, and my reputation would be in shambles....Well not that I care about it.
The class...it was somewhere around here, yes... that one seems to be my class.'
Lucifer approached a room at the corner of the hallway, which had a name plate in shining metal with 'Class 1A' written on it.
He stood against the door which led to his class.
Taking a deep breadth, calming himself, he was now ready to begin a new phase of his life.
A place where he could begin from scratch and build something that would emerge as a dominant force in this world.
{It would be the formation of the very organization that would strike fear in the hearts of his enemies}
And so he pushed open the doors, entering into a new life altogether.
