Chapter 30 - a little longer

"So you betrayed your friends huh?" said Lucas with a mockery little cuckles. He couldn't stop himself from mocking Justin. "You're disgusting, I've always hated people who betray, they are the same disgusting selfish people who only think about themselves. Now tell me, why are you here?"

"Lucas, just let him in before anyone else sees you." said the man in the room.

Lucas opened the door wider then grabbed Justin by the collar and pulled him in roughly. Justin stood in front of Michael and he almost peed his pants just looking at him.

Michael, the man wearing trousers and a halter shirt, took off the mask he was wearing. His real face didn't have a single mole but he had a cut at the tip of his eyebrow. He has brownish-blonde hair and some fine hairs on his jaw. His eyes were dark blue like the deep sea, flanked by a sharp nose.

Lucas loaded the shotgun while leaning against the wall, "Ash, is it okay to let this guy know who we are?" asked the man who ruffled his blonde hair.

"You were undercover all this time?" Justin asked, confused. Then he looked at Lucas, "Ash? Who is Ash?" he asked again.

"You ask a lot of questions, he's Ash," Lucas explained, pointing to the man known as Michael. "Then I'm Lucas, amateurs like you guys can't even finish the dirty work like we do. Now that you know almost everything about us, don't expect you to escape from this place safely. "

"Calm down," said Ash before Lucas put a hole in the clumsy man's head. "Why did you betray your friend and help me?" Ash asked straight to the point.

Justin swallowed hard then exhaled. "I'm helping you because of orders from someone, I can't say who but—"

"It's the President, right?" Ash robbed.

Justin looked very surprised, he didn't deny it or say yes, he continued his explanation as if he hadn't heard Ash's words just now. "Anyways, my boss would like to convey that NYX operations in our country must be stopped for several weeks. I hope you don't do anything during that time, I mean literally anything. Besides, the exposure of your videos and photos can be overcome if the face is just a fake identity."

Justin waited for Ash's response but the man ignored him at all. Instead, Lucas was more attentive to him, in a bad way, "You know what I hear every day Justin?" he asked.

Justin shook his head. "Murder news. Every television channel, internet platform and even student chats are filled with news of serial murders. Even though I clearly remember a month ago, this country was in the midst of widespread demonstrations because the government handed over their gold mines to other countries. Which is a foolish thing to do. And then you guys asked Nick, the interim leader of NYX, to divert people's attention from the news of the gold mine, right?"

Lucas smiled with satisfaction when Justin couldn't refute his words. "Ash, they gave us jobs but covered up some of the meaning. All these murders definitely need a perpetrator, a sheep to blame, who do you think it will be, Justin?" Lucas asked while intimidating that clumsy man. "Don't tell me that you deliberately hid the purpose of this murder to frame us. These people must be covered in the news, that's your order and now we have to face some trouble like this because of your or your boss's order, so who do you think it is, Justin?"

Justin glanced at Ash for help but the man was just indifferent and silent. He was also waiting for the answer to Lucas' question. This whole operation needs a perpetrator. Lucas started pushing Justin's chest repeatedly, making the man open his mouth.

"No need for perpetrators." Justin said loudly. "You can disappear from my country like you never existed, we will take care of it, you just have to leave this country and never come back ever again."

Lucas got a nod from Ash, that was Ash's way of praising him. Lucas embraced Justin like he was his closest friend. He led Justin towards the exit, "Well that's it then, you guys have to clean up this mess, we'll be leaving here in a month so keep the news and everything quiet during that time. Oh yeah, I want a business class plane ticket."

Justin immediately left the room. He entered the elevator and immediately pressed the button to the ground floor several times. He also looked right and left several times. "Come on, hurry up." he said impatiently.

Now, a teenage ghost who had been following Justin was still in that room. He heard and witnessed with his own eyes how small he was in front of these bad guys. They work for this country, which means all the killings were orders from the government of this country. The police were afraid of them and obviously, neither of them would be able to get into prison.

Their revenge will never be resolved. Some of the black shadows that had disappeared suddenly turned into ashes. "What happened to you guys?" asked the teenage ghost in surprise, one by one his friends were broken into pieces and then flew into the sky.

"We've lost, I think this is for the best," they said vaguely until they completely disappeared. Leaving the teenage ghost alone, he looked at his palm covered in a bluish black aura that he had never seen before. He also wanted to go quietly like his friends but he couldn't.

The flames in her chest and her grudge against that man couldn't disappear just because of one failure. He won't be able to leave this world if he doesn't get over his revenge. But how?

That man has the power to escape from the police, he is good at fighting and is very observant in every job. Not to mention the disguise, the videos and photos he got through his work were in vain.

"Then I guess there is only one thing left to do. I need to kill you with my own hand," said the ghost full of revenge. "I'm sorry Aleyah, I need your help a little longer."

He immediately left that place. Drifting at high speed towards the residence of the most beautiful woman in this city. Meanwhile, Michael and Lucas spent the whole night discussing the last victim they killed.

"We're in big trouble, Nick made a mistake and you didn't correct him, or even worse, you did as he told you to do. You know we shouldn't look for trouble with that guy. Didn't you know it was Darren?" Lucas asked, putting his hands on his hips in front of Michael who folded his arms across his chest. He looked like an older brother scolding his younger sibling.

Then it made Ash look like a younger brother who was reluctant to hear his older brother's ramblings. "Relax, what are you scared of?" he said to calm Lucas down.

"You said you knew who he was. He is one of Mr. Antonio's family, and this would make him angry. He will threaten and possibly destroy us again Ash, don't you understand what will happen to us?"

Michael laughed, "Don't worry, nothing bad will happen. Even if there is, just clean it up like we used to do, that Antonio or whatever." he said then patted Lucas on the shoulder, about to go to the bedroom to rest.

Lucas clenched his fists tightly. "You don't understand. A lot of things happened while you were away, Ash. I'm not playing games and I'm not saying all this because I'm a coward, this is because I don't underestimate my opponents. You may feel like this isn't a problem or easy because you don't care, you don't care what that person will do to NYX, to our family."

Michael stopped walking and glanced at the clock on the wall. "I don't care?" he said full of disappointment, and then shook his head several times. "If you want to believe that I don't give a shit to you or anyone, do it Cas, after all I am the one who killed Darren, I can call it my doing without mentioning anything about you, Nick or NYX, are you satisfied with that?"

Lucas sighed in annoyance and returned his focus to the laptop in front of him. He put earphones into his ears and turned up the volume. "I know he will say that, I always know he will do that. He will deal with it or anything by himself and never listen to what I say. And guess what? Maybe he never cared about other people or even to himself. Selfish bastard, just deal with them alone all you want, I don't care either." he grumbled in annoyance.

It's just yesterday he discovered the whereabouts of one of Mr. Antonio in this city. At that time he was very bored, so hacking Crystal Company's CCTV became his entertainment. That's when he found out about Darren and Nick's carelessness in looking for trouble with them.

Now, Lucas was watching CCTV at a funeral, he had also slipped a voice recorder in Darren's pocket, yes, in the pocket of the man in the coffin. Lucas is a very mischievous and free spirit person, he will do anything to chase away his boredom. So the night they finished off Darren in the parking lot, Lucas put a voice recorder in Darren's pocket, literally in a dead man's pocket. Just wondering what he would hear in the grave there.

But who would have thought that his mischievous behavior could be useful, especially for something important like this. That's why he could eavesdrop on Mr. Antonio's people converse without any effort and of course without no one knowing.

"Darren was killed by someone named Aleyah Mikola, boss. We found traces of her around the scene, her jacket and motorcycle are all hers." someone reported into Mr. Antonio.

Mr Antonio, the old man who was still sturdy, slammed the lid of the coffin hard. This made Lucas put his earphones away, but he immediately put them back on to hear the continuation of their conversation.

Mr. Antonio stared at the photo of a beautiful woman that his subordinates had handed over. "A woman took Darren's life?" he muttered. He found it hard to believe what he heard, a woman could kill a burly man who had won a boxing championship.

"Interesting, bring this woman to me, I want her alive."

Lucas also found it hard to believe what he heard, a woman just saved them from that man. He was really relieved to know that Mr. Antonio didn't suspect them. He was curious about the woman named Aleyah, but he was more interested in watching where Mr. Antonio's men went.

"Aleyah, whoever you are, you will be made the scapegoat and blame it on your bad luck." he muttered while typing various codes on his computer. He pressed the enter button and all the CCTV cameras recording Mr Antonio's actions filled the laptop screen and large television in the living room. They all searched for that woman with an ambulance car and that is a very great idea to escape traffic jams and for disguise.

"I'm gonna need popcorn for this." he said excitedly then got up to order some food to accompany his viewing.
