As I dropped her at dormitory I was planning to meet Max but I got a call from Mia .
" What happened " I asked .
" Come home today for dinner " said Mia .
" I'm planning to meet with Max " I said while changing the route toward home .
" You do that every single day , just come home today for dinner I want to have dinner with you " said Mia before hanging up .
I went to a nearby store and bought some chocolates and desserts for her .
When I entered the house, I put the chocolates and desserts on the table but when I turned around I saw dad and Mia sitting at the table waiting for me . I started at Mia and started to go up to my room when dad stopped me in the middle of my track and ask me to have dinner with them I didn't listen to them and started walking toward the stairs .
" Felix I'm saying this last time , come sit with us and have dinner " said dad .
I stormed off toward the table and sat across dad .
" What pleasure do we owe to have dinner with you Mr . Parker " I said while staring at his face .
" Let's start dinner " said dad while filling his plate with the food .
" Now you are playing the ignoring game " I shouted .
" Felix don't talk like that with dad and have dinner " said Mia while sliding the plate in front of me .
While suppressing my anger I tried to eat because I didn't wanted this to effect Mia in any way .
" Dad we should also have breakfast together tomorrow " said Mia .
" Sure sweetheart " replied dad .
" So how's your university going so far " asked dad while shifting his gaze upon me .
" From when did you started to care about those things " I said while standing up from the table .
" Felix you know I'm always busy in business meetings and I do everything for both of your sake " he replied .
" For God sake dad we don't need that much money , we need you and your time , we needed you from the time mom left us , you were the only things left to us but you ignored our existence you never even bothered to ask me where I'm spending that much money and never asked me what's going on in my life and now you suddenly showed up and asking what's going on and you expect me to answer such questions " I shouted while going upstairs .
I heard Mia crying while I was heading toward my room .
I locked myself in the room and started playing video games .
After a while a heard a knock on my door . I knew it was dad . I opened the door and let him come in .
" You are still not asleep , at this rate you will get sick " said dad .
I was blankly staring at my screen when dad sat beside my on the couch and hugged me .
" I'm sorry for being the worse dad , all the things you said earlier were true and I'm ashamed . I would try to spend more time with you from now on " said dad .
This statement helped me to calm down but I still couldn't say a word . To lighten the atmosphere dad asked me to teach him how to play video games , we both played games for hours .
" That's not how you are suppose to do it " I said .
" Oh sorry I should have been careful " said dad .
We both laughed and past the mid night dad went to his room and I went to bed .
I was a little happy after a long time .
