Invocations— the most radical use of the protective blessings given by the twelve cosmic architects. When one began worshipping them as their lord and savior, the Churches helped the worshipper gain the architect's blessing through a complex, irreversible process. These blessings could be strengthened, provided that the worshippers earned the Church's gratitude and appreciation for their support and service.
Priests, standing in the middle of the hierarchy of worshippers, naturally enjoyed the perks of these strengthened blessings, though Mir wasn't sure what that entailed in full detail. Such information was sensitive, and prone to being misused. The general populace only knew about invocation because when it was used, everybody within a mile could sense it. It dug out the pure instinctive, ancient fear and awe mankind had toward powers that transcended nature's limits.
